The thread has been a little quiet. I was hoping to be posting harvest pics this week buy my crop has gone in to overtime. My leaves are showing good fading but trichs still have some maturing to do. So much for timing mother nature.

I've been reluctant to post, since all I have so far is wishful thinking, but here's my SDFC 'heritage' strains in my first grow, day 51, started flush today:
Kaya (thank you GT. I can't compare to your grow of her but she is as you said, resilient and able to tolerate my most severe missteps):

I cannot take a good picture of the Dubtech to save my life. She has had the least frostiness of all of my plants but has what may be the meatiest of the leads of all of the plants, except maybe the Adubs

again, not a good shot but it shows the better cola development. Adub was the star of the grow by far, so much so that I had to severely handicap her, worse than Seabiscuit even, just to prevent her from completely eclipsing the light from the other plants

Thank you to all who have helped me to get here. I hope I get through the flush, harvest, dry and cure intact. I don't know if it will all time out with the upcoming get together but if so, I'll bring what I have.

Malawi (inspired by Mr.LED his self, Terpene) and Yeti Fuel (No particular inspiration here, beyond the coolness of the Loompa Farms name and the heritage of the parents, Loompa's Yeti [aka a later generation of his Headband] x AJ's Sour Diesel). Yeti are the 6 plants on the left, Malawi the 6 on the right. Yes, with a 5x5 tent and a home set up not ideal for OD growing, I am fucked if I get a lot of females, lol

Hello there kindred spirits, my name is Graehstone on the net and I am a disabled Vet that lives in the SoCal area and I suffer from Degenerative Disc disease, Scheuermanns disease, Scoliosis, Migraines … I have been a MMJ Patient for some time and due to living in a single income household it is difficult to be able to afford the Meds needed to be able to go through the day as a Man and not an Invalid hunchback.
The Narcotics I am on just make certain things worse … but I am sure most of you already know the stories that go along with sentences that start like that.
I can very easily imagine many other folks being in the same boat that I found myself in as far as affordability or even availability of Meds goes and that being that there were none or if so waaaay out of my price range.
So a very intelligent dear friend of mine came up with a (at least I think it is) brilliant idea on how I might be able to fix my problem.
Ideally I would love for someone to rent us, for very long term, a little house where the wife and I can live happily ever after and grow my own meds and veggies and … you know the little Cottage house from fairy tales … sigh, lol, but seeing as how we live in a two bedroom apartment that kind of puts a little damper on things.
This “closet” growing was something new to me but I was soon to be amazed.
It’s not really in a closet but rather a 50 gallon barrel that was painted white on the inside with a few strategically placed holes for hardware and ventilation, a false bottom to hold the water reservoir, and that is a very simplified version of what I got.
The entire thing sits inside the cardboard box that the Fridge came in and is in one corner of my bedroom.
There is also (just in case) a smoke detector and two timers, one for the lights and one for the watering system.
The temperature inside the barrel has never exceeded 26 degrees Celsius even on very hot days.
The electricity that I am using "extra" made almost no noticeable difference on my bill with this system either.
For those of you more technically inclined, here is what it consists of.
Lighting: One 150w HPS (high pressure sodium) lamp in a 4” wide cool tube
Three 40w 20” floro tubes (6500 Kelvin for blue spectrum enhancement)
Air circulation: One 120mm, 55 CFM, extra quiet 12v fan cooling the HPS cool tube
Two 92mm, CFM 12v fans exhausting out of the top of the barrel.
Nutrient delivery: Six distribution line manifold powered by a 2500cc per min Hagen air pump.
Now lots of you are going to go “Ahhh,” and “I see,” and stuff like that, then there are those (like I did) that are going “Heh?” “Does it work?”
And I have to answer with a resounding “Yes it does!”
And here’s proof.

No kidding! It reminds me of the Trailer Park Boys trash can grow box setup. Very cool idea - must be vegging pretty rapidly that close to the bulbs!
I remember Adub being taller in veg and surprisingly stretchy in early flower. Its been a hell of a long time, but I think all the branches ended up needing support because it was so spindly it would just flop over from the weight of the flowers.
Ona - doing great. You are plenty ready to go molasses and water on the plants you have in flower. That GG4 looks like its already finished.

I finally got my new outdoor structure to the point I can use it. It was a design as I go project and uses a lot of recycled stuff. The floor is made from plywood I used in a grow space back in 2002. It's builds like these that I point to whenever my wife gives me grief for keeping old building supplys

I really hope to get 2 years out of it. It didn't cost much but stretching the shade cloth and getting everything to the point that my OCD didn't nag me too much took a long time.

Thank you. I have no doubts that they are not at an ideal flush. I just don't know how to know what that would be. I've been combining what I know about my strains typical flower cycle length, physical changes, like color of the pistil filaments, etc. If they are too green, that's one I have let get by me. I figured if I waited to 7 1/2 weeks to start flushing, I'd only be moderately wrong for the gg4 and the other strains I have (Dubtech 7, Adub and Kaya). I have one GG4 that seems further along that the other 5 plants and I couldn't really run parallel feeding/watering set ups with multifeeds, so I just said FI and flushed.
yes, the Adub clone I have has been very stretchy from day one of veg through around day 20 of flower. It had pretty spaced out internodes initially. Very vigorous growth. only have a few weebly wobbly stems, mostly undergrowth. I cloned them down, LST'd them, then super cropped them and even had to supercrop/bend them a week into flower.

Turns out she was...she was dumb ditty dumb enough to commit her conspiracy to email! Ugh. They were basically getting away with it too, having retained 90% of their proceeds, then instead of helping she seals their fate.

my adubb x aliendog f2 are super stretchers, now i know its not my fault! i think adubb elongated structure comes through a lot in this cross but my speculation is purpling and cherry flavor are from the aliendog side
