I actually have to take claritin / flonase / steroidal inhalers (and take a shower) after I get done playing with pollen or I get all the typical signs of hay fever. You can pick up generic versions of claritin / flonase at just about every CVS/RiteAid.

I used to breed insects as feeders for my reptile breeding business, I developed an allergy to certain types of insects but not all of them.

Are you certain you have an allergy to cannabis pollen in general or just certain types? I'm in no way condoning snorting lines of pollen to figure out which are good and which are not...

Maybe a down draft hood is something you might look into. And/or a HEPA filter/DIY HEPA type get up that I've described below.

Claratin D 12hr for day time, Diphenhydramine at bed time, that pretty much keeps me from dying most of the time.

If it gets bad I add a 4mg Chlorpheniramine Maleate around mid day.

The whole shower thing works so long as your air is pollen free, I use a $12 box fan and a 20x20 DuPont ProClear Ultra 9200 allergen filter taped to the intake side to get near HEPA filter air quality, problem solved. Obviously a HEPA filtration system could do the same or slightly better.

In other news;
Is that Zamaldelica pollen from an ACE Seeds plant? I am for sure using that pollen on Affy 3 and "Superstition" (Affy 4 not "Superstitious" from Bodhi Seeds) in an effort to get as close to 10 weeks +/- 3 days as possible.

Can you tell me more about the (Mauritius x Ethiopian) male? I was thinking of hitting our 65 day SSH with pollen from that male.

Oh good! I was hoping you guys took the Zamaldelica x Ethiopian pollen - he's such a nice looking / smelling plant. The growth habit is primarily ethiopian influenced (call it 75/25), vigorous, strong branching with huge space between internodes. His leaves have that signature thai leaf tip outwards curl but with african "bulges" mid leaf. As for a nose on the plant, he's very lemony with somewhat floral undertones. Anything with Zamaldelica in it is a winner, I have yet to smoke anything stronger than Zamaldelica. Well grown Adub is close, but its too mellow to even be in the same ballpark as trippy/psychedelic Zamaldelica..

The Mauritius x Ethiopian is a bit more of a potential unknown. The male you have is heavily on the Mauritius side which Dubi describes as being a wild, untamed sativa (read: 14-20 week flowering duration, huge nodal spacing). Though in my setup, the Mauritius leaning plants were very compact, almost Malawi looking with strong stem development and relatively tight nodes. Stem smells on this cross are very "forest floor" - rotting wood, decaying mulch, dank, somewhat again like Malawi's "used gear oil" smell. This may change a bit more toward the lemony side (ethiopian) as it matures.

Mauritius is an extreme long flowering pure tropical sativa (14-20 weeks flowering time) with 0 indica or western influence. Very wild sativa, similar to the more delicate and low yielding Green Haze phenos in behaviour (regarding plant structure, flowering time, stretching, flexibility, mold resistance), not very tamed for indoor growing yet. Its flowers are airy, without much resin production (at least indoors).

There are 2 main phenos: the woody/fruity pheno, which is more potent (higher THC content too), with a very electric and uplifting african sativa effect, with 0 body stone. The other pheno is the 'lavender' pheno: it has a softer, kinder, more balanced/feel good sativa effect, not so anxious like the first pheno, with lesser THC content, but it has very nice lavender aromas and better terpene profile. It's an interesting landrace sativa that we are still exploring although we already keep selected parental plants in our mother room that have been analyzed for both cannabinoid and terpene content and ratios. We need more time to keep exploring its potential.

You can sorta see the differences in phenos in this shot, 60/40 ethiopian leaning left, very ethiopian middle, mauritius right:

The plant on the right is the female counterpart to your male - similar forest floor smells, growth habit and general "bushiness" for a sativa that reminds me of Malawi's growth habit. The other two are stretchier, will require topping whereas the Mauritius leaning plants will probably be fine with LST.

I love the anxious buzzing head feeling of the current ssh...I didnt grow much of it for close to a year and I got lazy without it hahaha

EC- Missed ya at abra, went friday night to check it out but it was pretty dead, left within about 10 min after not seeing a medtree banner or booth...you gonna be at the meet up next weekend? LOL I'm gonna keep harassing ya about that strawberry diesel! I just found some 6 year old strawberry Diesel x Tahoe Og Pollen I got from a pheno out of a PO pack...thinking about dusting the soups with it, but I think holding off to Bx would be a good idea if I ever find that cut again...don't know why I even cut her from the lineup tbh, won the first lv420 cup with it, should have held onto her for sentimental reasons if nothing else
