I figured as much S2D. Just in some applications Panda is a pain. Like in my basement where I have ducting and water pipes, etc. The Panda was just a pain to hang and its already starting to come apart at the seams in some spots.

hazy Hey man! This floor will repel water no problem. Armor Seal is a serious coating that can stand up to forklifts etc. The vent for the time being will actually be coming from in the dining room I believe. In the future, I would actually love to do co2 once I can afford it. This room will be perfect for it when I get done.

TML16 Definitely NEEDS plants!! I still have a good bit of work to do...so many minor, time consuming things...We'll get there though!

yamaha1fan You could spray the whole area out with a good 100% acrylic latex flat white. This would pretty much give you a "clean" area to work with, but still wouldn't seal it all for using co2 etc. Basements are a challenge when they are unfinished.

I'm gonna get the room real cold in the last of flower,and see if I can get some purps happening in there.These should all finish about the same time,one of the diesel crosses i just got into a bucket tonight,so it may be a week or so behind the others.

S2D I meant to tell you that room was coming along nicely, looks nice and clean. Too slow for my taste but nice.

The basement is temporary anyway. a few months and it will be out of there anyway.

Hey Core! Room's coming along pretty good. Like yamaha said, slow, but good. The biggest thing slowing me down is health and budget. Thankfully, this is just my personal, sacred grow, but I could sure use it done before too long.

That's what sucks about being poor and having medical issues. You can't get shit done when you want it. If I had the budget, I'd find a way to be done yesterday.

The good news is the room is looking very sweet, and should make a wonderful space for the plants.

hey sponge bob,anything popping yet?ya know,the t haze is the only one that has been getting any kind of nutes,the others have been on pretty much a water diet.i just now put the other pgsd's on flower juice last night and this morning.gonna explode now.

all i need now is cooler temps and ill be set.i got my exhaust fan on a shelf now freeing up some floor space,and i have two more plants in the closet to sex out.

Nah, no seeds poppin yet. Still have to remove that door and patch the wall inside and out. Gotta get some kind of baseboards. Trying to work out the light that shines STRAIGHT through the window a/c. The whole inside is styrofoam, so light pours right through the damn thing. I'm going to try painting the styrofoam flat black with some latex cuz spray paint just eats styrofoam. Theo (the old lady) is trying to help my budget with the room but that's going to be slow too because without me working, bills take up too much of her income. Ahh the struggles.

At least I've got some GOOD stuff to pop when I get there!

right on bro rooms coming together, for your light leaking from window i actually watched a vid a friend gave me few yrs ago. duder set up his grow in a-dam i believe the store front writing looked dutch , this person made a box insulated box to cover window but this is what he 1st done. he screwed window open 1/2 inch for fresh air then he hung a bamboo curtin in the window then he placed a black speaker cover over that. then he had a custom box made 1 side was for fresh air intake other side was for exhaust. he had 6 x 600w hps in the room no light leakn out. wish i could remember the vids name i cant even find it now but i noticed alot of very usefull info, duder went to hydro shop bought supplys went back and step by step built the room. turned out very nice he was growing i think blockhead but i really liked the window covering idea worth i thought for sure bro

the speaker covering should be abel to be got at a upholstery supply store

Hey Major, I remember that video. Wish that would work for me, but I can't block the front of the a/c or it won't give me enough air. I've got the unit fully mounted, it's just light coming in through the a/c itself. The guts/ducting inside the a/c unit are styrofoam and just worthless. Light comes right on through. So, I've taken the cover off the inside and I'm seeing if I can't paint that inside black and get the light to stop passing through.

all the ac units are like that now. Styrofoam divider-between-inside-outside/duct thing. and you're right, light shines right through big time. the black paint idea has got to be the answer. damn details like that just keep coming don't they.

are you going to use the straight pipe connectors between your buckets?
the mechanics of the whole hydro system(all kinds) still spooks me a little. still a little mysterious in my soil growing mind.

maybe i should just do a hempy bucket. i could handle that maybe.

patternagainst - Hey man! Thanks for the props. The room is a beautiful sight, no doubt. It's been real fun creating something out of nothing all for my own purposes. In light of that, I am not too troubled by how long it's going to take to get running. Have to remember I am on a non-existent budget at this point, and still need a couple hundred bucks worth of supplies. Innovation and compromise will be the key to getting it going I'm sure....

hazy - What's up buddy? :friends: Doing some searching I am positive at the very least ALL frigidaire units are like this. Of course, my luck is equivalent to murphy's law. If it can go wrong, it will, lol!

For the buckets, each will have a 3/4" feed line and a 1 1/2" pvc drain using the uniseals as usual. I am going to see if I can get a 6" uniseal to work and have those 1 1/2" lines from 8 buckets connect to one central 6" main back to the res using uniseals.

The 6" line should be more than enough to handle the return flow from all the buckets rapidly and give me a somewhat fast recirculating system with extremely good aeration that is thoroughly mixed and not hospitable to the bad guys. I may actually be able to do away with an air pump if I do it right, but that's something I'm not concerned with...

I just got to looking at the smallest of the g13xsd plants,and it is female too,I'm wondering if I should get a few milk crates to set the bubblers on,the plants are about 4 feet from the light.4 females out of four beans,I hope you get the same ratios buddy.

Hey, that's GREAT news! I have decided to run the G13xSD and the SD IBL the first time around if all 8 of those pop. If not, I'll pop a couple of something else to fill the system.

I think I'll put all 8 in, see what's female, clone those, kill males, and let the girlies veg a little. About that time, I should have a momma rooted, and she can veg in there a little too, pop a few clones from her and throw them in while the others flower. Then I can just keep it flowering perpetually while I pop and sex other strains.
