rush fantastic job!! I too am learnig the ways of hydro. My nute mix is between pbp and power plant grow and LK. my babes are taking off putting off dinner plate size leafs with the mix of half power plant and half pbp with a splash of LK. I have problems with my pbp being to acidic made some of my leafs wrincle so i droped my pbp down from 3\4 of my nutes to half and it seems to have ebbed off for now. But good luck and cant wait to see those serious girls finish. :rasta: :smoweed:

:lurk:

ok, check it out,

Today is the day I started 12-12 :woohoo:

The top pic is with no lights on, just the bedroom light.

Does anyone have an opinion on feeding throughout the cycle? or should I just feed during the twelve hours on?

Right now, I'm feeding every 4 hours, and it's working great. If I fed only when lights are on, I'll try every three? Also, my TDS reading from the rez is about 620. I'm going to keep this rez for the next two weeks during stretch, how much more do you all think I should crank it up? ballpark?

By the time i hit flower i was between 800-950 ppm. They are really going to be sucking the nitrogen with the stretch for at least 1.5 weeks jyi. Never done E&F but others i've seen feed like normal during lights out.

OH btw, that looks fantastic! Can't wait to see fat stick budz

Jimbob, pbp can be acidic and occasionally i did have to use ph up. I usually kept mine between 5-6.0. cal/mag get's locked out at the lower ph, and nitrogen gets locked out at the higher ph. Wish i could find a pic of my ph chart that listed best ph for different nutrients (N,P,K,cal etc)

below 5 and above 6 you will start to see deficiencies

I usually feed them two hours before the lights go out. Then again 1 hour after the lights are on.

I understand that the plant does quite a bit of building itself in the dark cycle, so I always try to make sure it has some fresh materials to build with before the lights click.

Looks really nice.... Are you running 1000 watts in a 9 sq area. I like it. I think running 75 to 100 watts per square foot lets you play a little.

Hey Rush....nice looking grow you've got going on over here. Keep the veg nutes going for a week or two, then switch. The plants will love you for it.

I got's to acknowledge my peeps....

bartender-glad to see ya here!

Chief-I'm at about 1000 ppm at 4 days flower...looking to run the rez about two weeks.

cob0-I'm waiting to see how many fat ass bitches I get....(this is the only exception I make loving fat broads!)

killabong-I'm feeding like I was with veg...every 4 hrs.

SirHarry- I'm always glad to see ya here bro...I know you're anticipating the end of this grow!

chosen- Good to see you too man...can't remember if I saw you at OG, or on the c-13 thread? anyway, I'm glad you "peeped" my thread.

Headypete- dude, I bought this computer in like '98...I do have a 30 GB back up though...... :woohoo:

Stoned- Cool to see you ....wish I was hitting a bowl of some Skunk #1 about now....always good shit!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's some new pics......4 days into flower. I've already seen a few females, not sure about the others yet. They smell skunky, with a real heavy sweet smell right now....smells awesome!

.

Also, I've noticed that some of the plants are a real dark green color, and others are a noticeable couple shades lighter? Is this phenotypes, or just some of the plants doing better??

You'll notice the darker plants on the outside the perimeter of the garden, aong the tent walls.

Glad everyone's here,
RUSH

Hey Rush, that darker color around the edges/shaded areas is normal. They tend to be a good bit lighter in color directly under the lights. This is something I've noticed every grow. Interesting enough, the buds seem to sometimes be frostier in the hidden areas than directly in the light too. I have heard this from many other growers as well, but I don't have the scientific explanation, lol! :smoke:

The plants directly under the bulb get more light and I find they yellow out a bit more than the plants on the side. If it is getting too much light or too hot photosynthesis can stop. Raising the light a little might not hurt.

Yes i had the same thing running at 100 watts per sq foot. Plants directly under the light would get a lime green towards the tops of the plants. I always called it "light bleaching". It would get real bad if i had the light as close as 6 inches so i would raise the light to about a foot or more above the tops. You many need to raise the light rush.
