Run 4 - two tents of Sativa

I have no science or validation to back this up but I’m convinced that too much LED light in early veg brings out more males. I even went 0/11 once and a couple of heavy male runs before I put the right light in the space (basically the difference between 100 watts per 4 square feet vs 65, 4k spectrum from HLG for both) Once I put the new light in my ratios went back to normal and nothing else was different. Just my $.02 but thought I’d share as it was super frustrating.

I think the OHSK beans are just all over the map. A pheno deal I suppose, but this totally different phono thing is new to my newbie azz.

This one is doing fantastic, I wonder how she would have fared with the vigorous male I culled early? Vigor baby!

The best best plant of this run so far growth-wise is this OHSK. Lotsa flowers all over.:.

While her (sister?) in the other has not shown any sex, has made no flowers, and has to have a stoopit net to train her. Same pack of seeds. VPD got them maybe? Plants look OK, just way different.

Speedy Lady looks great!! You can try decreasing light to 11-on 13-off or even 10-on 14-off for the stubborn, slow to get going Sativas. It saves on power and kicks them into gear.

Looks like the AG (such nice consistant plants) wants to start a grow contest with the tall fast OHSK. Fine with me. The DP in the right rear is being left behind in the dust. The lights are at around 750+ umoles. Funny how AG prays, DP's leaves are flat, and OHSK droops the leaves. 12/ 12 lighting with sunset and sunrise.



In the other tent, some bobbing and weaving is going on. No flowers yet. I have dropped the lights from 11:45 to 11:30 today, with sunset and sunrise. Rockin about 600 umoles.

Well, at least I don't see any ballz. This stuff MIGHT be ready by next Christmas. Star Crash, this is the tent I just moved from 11:45 to 11:30. I can drop it down further if that will do any good. I'll go to 11:15 today and see. They are still stretching after the net pulled them down.

No doubts about his OHSK in the other tent, which is still rocking 12/12:

good morning …What’s your flowering photo period 12/12 , 11/13 , or 10/14 ? If you want them to flower quicker I would suggest you go to 1014

The longer the dark period, the stronger/faster the flowering response. When i grew original haze i vegged it on 12/12 and flowered on 10/14

That’s the way to do it switch to 1014 as soon as you’re ready for them to indicate sex..It’s a quicker way to shock them into response

Well, first this situation has to work itself out. Maybe in 4 months there will be some flowers on these girls. At least I think they are girls! I may have get another net to support any flower that may appear on those spindly stems after they get taller. They are at 11 hours ON now. OHSK in back, OHLP in front.

Two totally different deals going on between these two tents! This tent may need to run until into April or May. I give the other tent a max of 2 more months.

Have a stash built up before you run the NLD. Slow slow slow. But hey, at least it is not making ballz. Here is OHSK. It has a ways to go, like till April.

Slow tent is at 10:15 ON, with sunset and sunrise. I dropped the light power to 70%, about 500 umoles, to see what less power does. My run 5 should have a less powerful light, so I am dropping the power on this one to have something to compare it to.



Pre-flowers still. This is slow stuff indeed. The tent is filling up, so we'll see. I could probably use another layer of net to support and even out the canopy.

The other tent is chugging long, but has a disturbing lack of frost, so far. Lack of trics and frost is a problem I have.

At least the soil can grow vegetation.

Edit: After zooming in and seeing the trash on the bud, I went in and removed it. That was some loose soil from pulling overgrown cover crop weeds earlier today. Blew right off.

Heartbreak in the NLD tent. OHLP has decided it wants to dye itz hair pinkish purple and blue, and pretend itz a boy. Damn luck.

The front plant is a male. Removing it will make a mess of the tent. I am pissed.

As for the other tent, things are just fine except for a lack of frost. I have something for that coming (carbs), I hope it helps.
