"There are no limits on attendance, so if Romney was trying to stack the vote (as Ron Paul had done in past years)"

So when Romney does what Paul has been doing all along, he's stealing the election...

Romney probably cheated and also buys votes.

money wins almost every time. this is the fucked up political system in which we live...

he with the most money wins...

therefore, i still say what i have been saying. Mittens wins the nomination and Obama wins the general..

just sayin, that's the way things work :tiphat:

yeah... i dont know the bible...

i know Jebus said it is easier for a camel to pass though the eye of a needle than a rich man to get into the kingdom of heaven.
I wonder what Mittens thinks of that one...-

The eye of the needle is/was actually a narrow gate/door way that entered a city/town. Not a sewing needle type thing. A camel could get through it but it would be a tight squeeze, hunched down process but could be done.

Yeah, the bible does hint a rich man can get into Heaven - after he gives away all his money. Folks understand they can't take it with em so in affect they're giving it all away. :chin:

If there's a God, I wonder if he forgives flippant justification?

A huge campaign issue for him every achieving the GOP nomination, is his record as a businessman who exhibited poor judgment, wasting billions on a tunnel that was faulty and constructed with substandard materials.

As Governor of the state of Mass., Romney headed up the disastrous Big Dig of the tunnel in Boston’s Fort Point Channel. The major capital overruns in the expenditures of this project indicates Mitt Romney’s lack of judgement and his careless misplaced leadership skills as an intelligent businessman.

The tunnel was only 3.5 miles long to reroute the Central Artery Interstate 93 into the tunnel, plus construction of the Ted Williams Tunnel, The Leonard Bridge, and the Rose Kennedy Greenway where the I-93 elevation existed.

The initial projected cost was 2.8 billion to be completed in 1998, but the end result after criminal investigations revealed shoddy materials and four deaths were much, much higher. The final costs when the Big Dig project was completed in 2008, ten years too late, was 14.6 billion dollars which was five times the initial cost projections. After you calculate the interest on the tab, and make adjustments for inflation, the cost will likely be 22 billion dollars to the taxpayer. The cost will not be paid for until 2038 which is in another 27 years!
On July 10, 2006 a concrete ceiling panel of the tunnel weighing 12 tons fell onto a car killing a passenger and injuring the driver and the tunnel was closed for a year.

Through an investigation it was discovered that the tunnel was never designed to include ceiling panels that were badly constructed with faulty fasteners and Governor Romney was on vacation.

When he returned, he ordered the closure of the tunnel and then had to pay for a 20 million dollar survey of the safety of the tunnel, which was finally inspected from stem to stern. More problems were found with the ceiling fans, the fasteners and the contracted company that built the tunnel.

Thousands of leaks were found, substandard materials, problems with the frozen ground and lighting fixtures just to name a few discoveries. Just about everything in the tunnel had defects, problems and cost overruns plus a very badly executed capital investment project hailed by the overseer Mitt Romney, in the city of Boston the heart of the state.

Romney was implicated with accepting campaign contributions from that contractor, and bears the ultimate responsibility for causing a death. Further, a list of over 2000 maintenance problems over the next year were still an on going problem for Romney.

In May of 2008, another large contractor of the Big Dig McCourt Construction Company, pled guilty to charges of defrauding the government, by over-billing for three years and by lying about what work was done by workers at a higher rate of pay. McCourt was paid 245 million dollars for their work on the tunnel but that was not enough they also over charged $ 314,494.00 more. Yet another electrical company attempted the same practice and over billed by $80,000.00 that they were not entitled to receive payment.

In June 2008, the Modern Continental Corporation that had earned over 3.2 billion dollars and who were the largest contracting company that built the tunnel filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company hid shoddy workmanship, and were held criminally responsible for the collapse of the ceiling in the tunnel.

The corporation attempted to protect its assets from further lawsuits which they knew were coming by filing bankruptcy protection. Another example of shoddy business decisions Romney made to work with such a contemptible company.

On August 10, 2011 a report from Engineers in Boston indicates a space under one section of the tunnel has opened and cannot be fixed. The soil during construction was apparently frozen, to keep it from collapsing and now under that soil is an opening. The repairs to this tunnel has cost taxpayers 15 million dollars in subsequent repairs, millions more due to the shoddy construction. The financial settlement to the family of the person who was killed was 28 million dollars and there were many lawsuits.

A major pipe also had to be replaced costing 1.2 million, plus this new problem which cannot be fixed. it has been 9 years of a financial fiasco for Bostonians who have had to put up with Romney’s mistakes.

So much for the Businessman in the Real Economy. If Mitt Romney mislead taxpayers on the Big Dig safety, he can hardly handle the whole USA economy and it speaks to his great problem of ethics and sound judgment.

i know, its confusing. but God's cool with slavery (even your own daughter), anti-semitism and spousal abuse, so i think he'd be OK with a bit of flippant justification. but DO NOT expect God to forgive the government forcing birth control down his boy-loving church's throat. this is 2012, and we need to get back to our roots. and the faithful are just gonna have to ride bareback for Jesus.

the proccess explained simpily from a e-mail i got

(primary vote is a completley different vote than the caucus)
two different votes two seperate places.

I am the volunteer for the RonPaul2012 Campaign who just called you. Thank you for talking with me.
Here is a summary of what I said with some more detail. Look especially at the last two lines of this email.

Although you can vote for Ron Paul in the primary even if you are "unenrolled," you can only vote in the XX caucuses IF you are a registered Republican.
Why would you want to vote in the caucuses?
The caucuses choose the delegates, the people who go to the Republican National Convention and vote for the nominee.

Now here is the trick. On the first ballot the elected delegates are sworn to vote for the victor in the primary.
BUT if the convention does not produce a winner on the first ballot (50% +1), then the delegates are free to vote as they please.
In my opinion the first ballot will not produce a winner.
So it is crucial that the delegates be committed to Ron Paul. There will be Ron Paul delegates up for election in each of the caucuses throughout XX.

The caucuses will take place in each Congressional District several weeks after the primary. Three delegates are elected for each Congressional District in XX.
Who gets to vote for delegates? All registered Republicans who show up!!! That could be you. But you must be registered Republican by Feb. 15 and remain so until the caucuses are completed. Then do as you wish.

How many people does it take to elect delegates in each Congressional District? As few as 50 in a district, possibly even fewer, can carry the day. These caucuses do not exactly draw a Superbowl sized crowd. The caucuses last only a couple hours and usually take place on a weekend morning. We will keep you informed.

Whats the current situation has 'our Ron' got any chance?

It is strange that a lot of major news outlets never really 'got' Ron Paul. They can't really rubbish his views because they make so much sense but they can't be seen to agree with anything he says because well. It makes too much sense!

Any vote for Dr Paul is a vote for Barry Obama.

No matter how enthusiastic and dedicated Dr Paul's supporters are, and I count myself among them, there aren't enough of us to win him the election, only enough to ensure the Republicans lose.

So if you want another 4 years of this shit, vote for Ron Paul and Obama is sure to win.

Peace, SOG

so if the the deligates at the RNC do not produce a nominee on the first vote, they are all free to vote for whoever they want, BUT ron paul deligates will not leave,so in theory we will only gain more votes from the other cannidates deligates ensuring a nomination.

so barring any type of huge voter fraud ,he has the best chance.

BUT THE KEY IS TO BECOME A DELIGATE OR VOTE FOR ONE

"The caucuses will take place in each Congressional District several weeks after the primary. Three delegates are elected for each Congressional District in XX.

so your chances are good if you wish to become or vote for one but ron paul needs as many as possible to go to the RNC in FL.

It seems that you need to research some facts.....SANTORM didn't get any delegates in CO and RP got all 13! RON PAUL got most of the delegates over the last two weeks. THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA LIE! They act like RON PAUL don't exist, RON PAUL CAN WIN!!! In some caucus states the Delegates have no ties to the STRAW VOTE so RP didn't contest there, he just nabbed most of the Delegates......In others states like NH RON PAUL got second in the STRAW POLL and he fought in Nevada because they do have to vote for the winner on the FIRST BALLOT....but no at a brokered convention DELEGATES are not bound to vote for the straw poll winner.

No offense but perhaps you are too young to remember Ross Perot so i'll say it again ANY vote for Dr Paul IS a vote for Barrack Obama and his failed policies..

Despite what YOU think, Dr Pauls take on foriegn affairs is too far out of the mainstream and most of America believes his policies would weaken us as a nation so they will NEVER vote for him.

So if you feel as though Obama has failed and you want a change, Rick Santorum is the best choice, ...i may not agree with everything he says but I believe he is a man of integrity who means what he says.

Peace, SOG
