Ron Paul understand the system and would do away with alot of the programs and policies that help keep the rich, rich, and keep the poor oppressed and unable to fight back...He is for the middle and lower class, but he has a different approach to helping them....and I think hes right.

Not going to retype the whole thing.

For 60-70 years politicians like Obama, Romney, Newt, and Santorum have led us to the place where we are now, as a nation. In the last 30 years, they have done less and less to hide the real agendas and in the last 12 they have basically said, "kiss our butt, we are going to do what we want". Now, they have passed laws so that they can enforce that with our own military.

There are a few candidates out there that want to restore America to the hands of the people. Right now, there is one candidate in the spot light that has consistently stated for 30 years where we were headed.... and low and behold that is where we are.

C'mon guys, you think they are doing those helicopter drills for another country like Iran? Think again!

Vote Ron Paul! Give America a chance before it is too late, if it is not already!

Peace

Paul says he has no intention of dropping out

GORHAM, Maine (AP) -- Ron Paul said Saturday the Republican presidential race has "a ways to go" and he doesn't intend to get out or get behind another candidate anytime soon.

The Texas congressman was campaigning Saturday in Maine, which holds caucuses beginning Feb. 4. He spoke to an overflow crowd at the University of Southern Maine and held an outdoor rally outside the famed L.L. Bean store in Freeport. He picked up the endorsement of Linda Bean, the granddaughter of the Bean company founder and a prominent Republican activist in the state.

Paul told reporters that it didn't make sense for him to campaign in Florida, which holds its primary Tuesday and awards all its 50 delegates to the winner. Polling indicates Mitt Romney is leading the field there.

"Some other campaigns have many, many millions of dollars to run a campaign," Paul said. "We maximize the delegates the way we're doing it."

Paul planned to campaign next week in other caucus states, including Nevada, which also holds its caucus on Feb. 4, and Colorado and Minnesota, which hold caucuses Feb. 7.

Paul dismissed suggestions he would back any of his GOP rivals.

"I think that's premature. We have a ways to go," Paul said, adding he was glad they were speaking favorably about some of his libertarian-leaning views.

"I'll work with anybody who wants to come in the direction of Constitutional government," Paul said.

He noted that Newt Gingrich had endorsed his views on monetary policy in a nationally televised debate this week. Paul has called for the Federal Reserve to be audited and ultimately eliminated, and wants the value of the dollar tied to gold.

Paul said he hoped the former House speaker and others would also adopt his non -interventionist foreign policy views, which are far outside the Republican Party mainstream.

"If he says `I agree with Ron Paul, we should bring the troops home from Afghanistan,' my ears would pop up," Paul said.

Ron Paul made it to May 27 last time around. Unless money becomes an issue, I wouldn't expect anything earlier than June.

Paul earned 25 delegates in the last primary. But as the primary draws close, these delegates get restless if their candidate doesn't appear to have a shot at victory. Ultimately, Ron Paul lost 19 of 25 delegates to another candidate.

Ron Paul (shockingly) is using his money in the most fiscally conservative way possible.

Fl give ALL their delegates to the winner, and was stripped of half their delegates for moving their primary earlier.

No point in wasting money where you cant get anything in return.

i still dont see how he plans on WINNING. Kingmaker maybe, but i dont see a win.

Perhaps if Newt and Rick dropped out...
Paul polls just as well against Obama as Romney does...
He needs to continue to highlight he is neck and neck vs Romney against Obama.

I can't see Newt and Santorum not dropping out. They're not on the ballot in 5 states. No way Santorum surpasses that obstacle. And I'm 99% sure that Newt can't get around it.

Im not sure (and i havent heard any of the squawking heads postulate) if Santorm didnt buy TV ads in FL because he couldnt, or because he wanted to save the money for later.

Like I alluded to in my last post, Florida is pretty unattractive compared to other primary states. Its expensive, winner take all, and now only counts for 1/2 as much.

It wouldnt have made sense for Santorm to blow his load in FL, when all he might need is Newt and Romney to keep attacking each other (and by defacto Republican policies).

Santorm would get Newts backers probably > 6:1. Most of Newts backers are actually just "anti romney" backers.

If Santorm sees the writing on the wall (that Dr Paul is DEFINITELY going though super tuesday [March 6]), the smart thing to do would be to save your FL money... but thats not the normal move.

Obama seems to be for fracking, but continue to spin that he is the boogieman, its an effective tactic, and best of all, no viable alternative needs to be offered.

Peak oil in the US was in the 1970's, we have ~120 years of natural gas if we fracture the shit out of our underground rock tables.

Investing in renewable energy (and then getting fucked when china manipulates the market) is not same as trying to lower our living standards.

tin-foil-hat much?

L.L. Bean heiress backs Paul

Freeport, Maine (CNN) - Linda Bean, an heiress to famed Maine outfitter L.L. Bean, came out in support of Ron Paul on Saturday as the candidate made a campaign swing through the state.

Bean, who is a part owner of her family's company and sits on its board, said she is a longtime supporter of the Texas congressman. She backed his 2008 presidential bid, but hasn't made a public endorsement in the current race until now.

Follow the Ticker on Twitter: @PoliticalTicker

"I've been for Ron Paul for years," Bean said. "I watched his House races in Texas, and he's just true blue. He doesn't waver from the Constitution and I like that very much."

Bean made her endorsement at the lobster restaurant she owns in Freeport, situated across the road from L.L. Bean’s large flagship store. She singled out Paul's appeal across the political spectrum as a reason for her support.

"He's very electable, he crosses all ideological lines because of his strong message," Bean said. "He's for the gold standard. I think people want stability in this country. He's for helping America domestically, and staying out of aggressive wars. We're just spending ourselves down the drain in these countries year after year with occupation."

When asked why she wasn't supporting fellow New Englander Mitt Romney, Bean said, "I've always been for Ron Paul."

Bean ran for Congress herself in 1988 but lost the Republican primary. She ran again in 1992, winning the nomination but going on to lose the general election to Democrat Thomas Andrews.

Paul is campaigning in Maine while his rival GOP presidential candidates focus on Florida ahead of its presidential primary Tuesday. Maine holds presidential caucuses, which the state GOP recommends take place between February 4 and February 11. Some towns and municipalities, however, are holding their caucuses as early as this weekend.

Maine’s presidential preference vote, which will determine the allocation of the state’s 24 delegates, will be announced February 11.

Rather than hitting all of the early voting states, Paul’s campaign is focusing on states that hold presidential caucuses, including Maine, Nevada and Minnesota. This Tuesday, when Florida holds its primary, Paul will be in Colorado. That state holds caucuses February 7.

You must not understand the urgency of this election for america and its citizens. Petty issues dont matter anymore... its about the big issue.

The news medias can deny paul all they like. But to this day. This FUCKING DAY i havent seen a SINGLE not ONE sign, bumper sticker, shirt, hat, flag or ANYTHING for ANY OTHER candidate besides ron paul and barack obama. but for every obama supporter i see 10+ paul supporters. And im not just talking at a college campus or anything like that. I see people from all age all races support paul. Last night i was at the grocery store and I met some old lady that hada shirt that said "I hunt gang members" and a hat that said "END FASCISM - VOTE RON PAUL 2012". we got to talk and turns out this 93 year old lady carrys a loaded colt 1911 at ALL TIMES. and shes a die hard american constitutionist who is in FULL support of ron paul. one of the coolest fucking ladies i ever met. reminded me alot of my grandmoms.

RON PAUL 2012. every other politician is a joke in comparison to this american patriot presidential candidate

Without repeating nearly everything you've said here, I am living and seeing nearly this same example in my neck of the woods verbatum. No other rep. candidates are appearing on bumper stickers. None.
