"jimmys grape romulan, many great things tbh he has a full romulan line up and now GS is saying its all fake?"

I never said it wasn't Grape Romulan. I said it wasn't Joe's Romulan. Please don't misquote me. Peace GS

but if you go back to my quote i stated that its listed as the original romulan with grape flavour , any way im off it been fun :)

Guy I have been in the lower mainland of the BC coast since 96. If its a cut from here, I have encountered it personally. Can Jimmy say the same of his contact with this plant(Joe's Romulan}? Peace GS

ps. perhaps some one should refer him to this thread

Subcools TGA Vortex has Romulan and it is top notch fire. Compared to many of teh " latest and greatest", can hang against any and all. That good !

Re: Romulan these days ... any good?

Jimmy actually makes no claim to 'Joes romulan'

Pretty straightforward saying that its Next Generations version.

His loose description is grape redbull funk.

Guy fawkes let this one get way outta hand.

I would love to see a Romulan in seed form at SB again. Reg. seeds or S1s of a cut. Hope some breeder(s) make that happen in the next few years. Take care 1

I once asked Sub in a chat about his Romulan, he said nothing close to piney{Like Joe's}. Rather grapey though. Peace GS

I got a pack of Romulan off the bay a few years back. I though it was kinda unique. Some of the plants had a grape/herb taste, they turned purple. But there was two that stayed lime green and frosty. They had a fresh bell-pepper smell/taste, kinda herbal. It didn't yield good so it was later crossed & tossed. The high was warm and fuzzy.

Fake or not, I find Federation's Romulan to be top shelf gear. Here's one that I flipped 2 weeks ago (from 2 packs circa '02-'03 - have 5 beans left). I've gotten 8 females to date, every one was kickass. Lost a mother a few years ago that produced some of the most dense, potent buds I've ever seen. Pepper and pine through and through...I'll let you know how this one turns out.

Peace

and its more expectation than attachment . you cant get attached to some thing youve never had lol

Don't feel bad. I've been severely deprived for the last decade or so and haven't tried any of the famous strains everybody talks about. Until I can afford a vacation someplace greener, I'll be stuck just waiting until I can grow some out myself and hoping my technique is good enough to not produce total shit. :)

I'll 2nd that notion. The romulan I had was a great smoke really, lacked yeild of any sort but you can't have everything.

Loads of good info posted guys, and Raco TY for the link, solid read there.

This is true. He told me personally that he used Next Generation`s Red Bull Pheno for his crosses.

checked out the CLS seeds section to try to find some pics of his 20 year old romulan line and read on the second page that his romulan is the romulan from federation crossed to romulan max from next generation seeds.

still sounds interesting to me though. have you grown it?

I think the Romulan x Romulan Max was a different release... Here's classics info and pic

ClassicSeeds said:
Romulan Joes IBL what can I say, I have worked it for at least 25 generations picking the strongest, fastest flowering ones ,everyone who tries it says it should be rationed because it's too strong ha ha.

Most are smaller like a classic indica, it can be done in as little as 8 weeks but its far better if you give it 9 1/2 or 10 weeks.

Indoors, this plant loves organic soils and does not like a lot of chemicals in regular planting mix. It's a true wonder plant and can be grown outside in dry locations but is very tight budded and does not like being sprayed or rained on.

It clones like a dream, very easy to clone, thc is definitely 20%+, and this plant has a good taste after all the generations of selection its been through. A personal favorite of mine
