This one was kindly gifted. It is labelled SMG x Mulanje Gold, but my understanding is it is SMG x Demon Latcher x Mulanje Gold. This is about 11 weeks. I have tried some and it is promising. It's grown under not enough watts unfortunately but doing ok. Smell so far is fuelly.
@Tangwena, you might find this interesting.

Thanks for the heads up brother. Yes it looks like its Mum the SMG x Demon Latcher it will be interesting to see how she finishes up.
I got several different phenos and they were all sexy as.
The high was very good and strong but sort of one way, intense sometimes.

I prefer the Mulanje which is very stoned, but happy and energetic, no couch lock at all just a ticket to the circus of life.
It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the mix. If any of the Mulanje comes across the high will be extra fun ha ha.
I have some growing myself but I dont think I will see them finish. I haven't got enough time before I leave in April. But I just couldn't help myself I had to at least sniff the flowers ha ha.

We had some insane humidity and I got a slight case of mould, so I have tried a bit already and so far seems great. Some intensity there for sure based on what I've tried, but also a feel good high. Some of the lower buds look almost ready, crazy foxtails. Good producer too. Have it next to a ThaiA5 and I think it will produce more.
I will get around to the Mulanje, but I went with this one first as the genetics intrigued. :gday:

Thanks for the answer, i’ve been trying to identify possible recessive trait from Mexican types (on some of the phenos I have), but I can’t seem to find a reliable image of Oaxacan or Mexican flowers.
what about this image?

That confirms lots of my guesses around my phenotype variations. I have one pheno doing more Colombian like flowers and the other one I can only think Mexican like flowers (after seeing your picture that confirms).

The type of foxtail calyx stacking of the Mexican is not the wheat like flower on some of the SouthE Asian variaties. I might be seeing some recessive Mexican traits given that this is a Jamaican skunk variation cross with a SEA (Skunk being Mexican/Colombia/Afghan in general terms).

thanks for the picture.

edit: I was referring to the crosses I am growing. I was hoping to identify Mexican traits.

Chopped the top of mango Thai second release yesterday. Couple of late flower nanas, so I few s1s to play with. I'd say she was up there was the flowering time of my original MT. But I cut her too early I think. Anyways here's a bit of bud porn before she gets cobbed into a candy bar

@ojd look forward to seeing how they turn out. Look amazing by all the other people I've seen growing em out.
Why do the leaflets catch your eye?

hey @BC LONE WOLF this is incense haze/sweet skunk from Chimera crossed with mextiza from Cannabiogen.

when I posted this pheno, one guy asked me if it is pure Guerrero sativa hehehehe
Thats a beautiful flower. Now that I’m sure about it, Mexican flowers are very unique and whatever genetic material making those flower can be very dominant. I like flowers like that one doesn’t need a big amount to get high.

Another signature of Mexican dominance I seen is almost all Trichomes are on the calyx with seldom to none on the sugar leaf. Calyx shape seem round on the Mexican with most purity.

Great Info thanks again.

you are welcome. I think it is typical for all true tropical sativas(look out Mexico has subtropical areas, and these subtropical sativas are different) that it has minimum trichs on leafs.

when I see resin on leafs, like at this colombian dom original haze, I have suspicion there is some subtropical hashplant mixed in...
