I had the night to myself, so I decided to wash some hash. I pulled out a 211 gram bag of half dried Grass Fire OG from the freezer. Soaked it for about 30 minutes in ice water to rehydrate it. Then I ran the washer for six minutes.

This is the first pull of the 45-159 micron.

Second pull ran for nine minutes.

Third pull ran foe twelve minutes.
Picsart_22-01-31_21-27-50-118.jpg

I ran a fourth run for 15 minutes and called it a night. It all went back in the beer froster to “freeze dry” for a week or so. Once dry I’ll bag it and press it for rosin. So far it looks like a good yield.

I still have two more 185 gram bags in the freezer to run when I get another night off.

After a week in the beer froster, the hash is dry. I yielded 33.82 grams hash from 211 grams of 1/2 dry buds for a 16.03% return.
Picsart_22-02-08_22-00-46-000.jpg

This particular press was about 8.5g of 45u-159u "freeze dried" hash (1st through 4rd pulls), double bagged first in a rosinevolution 25u, then a 160u bag. Pressed at 78*F on my DIY press for about 3 minutes between parchment by blacklabelpaperco.
Picsart_22-02-08_22-03-23-046.jpg

I pressed three more packs, then collected all the rosin together and homogenized it. I ended up with a total of 21.81 grams rosin for a 64.49% return.
Picsart_22-02-08_22-04-12-464.jpg

Finally, I split it up into six 3.5 gram containers and put them in the hash fridge. It was getting empty.

So the other day I was trimming up my dichondra cover crop. I accidently clipped my Blumat tubing a couple of times, and repaired them. I must have bumped one of the sensors in one of the beds. When I checked on the reservoir it seemed like there was a lot less in there than I would have expected. So, I went to check on the beds and there was water on the floor and one of the beds was overflowing. I picked up about two gallons between the tray and the floor. I tightened the sensors up to turn them off and will have to re-adjust them when the soil dries out in a couple of days.

The hash I washed last week is dry and ready to be pressed. I got another 28 grams and expect a similar return on the hash I washed this week. I'm out of 160u bags, so I am waiting on those to get delivered to press the hash.

The GG4 RIL turned out to be male. I'm still playing with the bonsai, but will probably cull sooner than later.

The autos in the notill bed have finally reached the bottom of the pot and started upward growth. I took the leftover buds from making hash and mulched it in the beds.

I transplanted the Solo's Stash into party cups of a hot/moist coots mix. I let the soil dry out for a few days and didn't add any water this time. Hopefully I don't get as many damping off as I did last time with the GG4 RIL.

I'm still playing with the bonsai GG4 RIL despite it being a male.

And another, auto bonsai. Haven't done as much with this one.
Picsart_22-03-08_23-18-04-669.jpg

Finally the autos show signs of pollination. They are about 34 days from germination. They seem to be showing some early yellowing, I'm not sure if it is from the dichondra, it is really aggressive and completely covering the drippers.

I had a bunch of food grade (220-160 micron) hash, so I decided to try and make some hash rosin carts. I went to two different stores looking for some small small canning jars, but couldn't find anything smaller than this honey jar I already had. I then went to find my carts, but only found one, and it was broken. I went to three different vape shops before finding these.
Picsart_22-03-08_23-19-17-021.jpg

I took about 9 grams (I didn't weigh it) of the food grade hash and pressed it out to about 4 grams of rosin (again I didn't weigh it). The rosin was immediately put in the jar and sealed it. I then put it in my toaster oven at about 225°F for about 30 minutes until it stopped bubbling.
Picsart_22-03-08_23-20-20-919.jpg

After it cooled, I sucked it up in the syringe and filled the carts. I then put the carts in the the toaster oven at about 100°F for about 30 minutes to wick them. So far the two hits I took are doing the job, I will see how they hold up to daily use and how long they last.

Some of the plants are not doing so hot. It is likely a combination of me turning up the lights and the plants shifting into a seed production mode. The dichondra isn't helping either, that stuff had totally overrun the beds.

I lowered the light back levels down to 70% and will see how they will react.

Been pretty busy lately, but got some time to play in the garden tonight. First thing I did was a little more training on my male GG4 RIL bonsai. It's amazing how flexible these plants are.
Picsart_22-03-22_18-51-44-901.jpg

Here is a small auto bonsai I did. I didn't even think this one would live.
Picsart_22-03-22_18-52-42-635.jpg

I am down to 3, maybe 4 of the Solo's Stash I planted in the hot/wet soil. I have since tossed that soil and made a starter mix with two gallons perlite, six gallons peat, and a cup of lime (oyster shell flour). I planted the only five JLo F4 I made in it to test it out.
Picsart_22-03-22_18-53-50-753.jpg

I also trimmed up my GFOG bonsai mothers.
Picsart_22-03-22_21-52-22-332.jpg

Finally, I trimmed up the dichondra that has been overgrowing wverything. That sad looking SAD plant had a Blumat that was too "tight" that explains it.

Finally got around to moving my light over. Now it's centered better. Did a little bit of plant shuffling while I was at it.
Picsart_22-04-02_20-56-10-811.jpg

I decided to try a perpetual auto SOG. The plan is to plant one feminized autoflower every week and eventually harvest one a week as well. I'm going to use these 32 oz. Subway cups I've been saving. This week is a Fast Buds Mimosa Cake Auto.
Picsart_22-04-02_20-56-49-039.jpg

These are the four Solo's Stash that didn't damp off in that hot/wet soil. Moving along slowly, but gaining some traction now as the root system develops.

Working on some solventless hash rosin carts. Here is 7 grams of broad spectrum (45-160 micron) hash rosin. It has been decarbing in this sealed container for about 10 hours at a temperature of 150-175°F. I plan to let it go about 24 hours, then I'll let it cool before opening the lid.

Random stonned musings...

So if I pollinated a GWK with JLo to make my GLo F1 then used that to pollinate a different GWK, is that a Backcross? What if I pollinated a GLo F2 with the GLo F1 pollen used to male the F2s, is that a backcross?

Ill likely chop these before the lights come back on.
