I may have missed it in the later posts, but do you have a pic of the fridge setup?
ISM2. I dont believe i did post any. In the next few days i will try to get some posted.
In this setup i use LEDS but they are on large flat heat sinks. The fridge still works. But i rewired the whole thing. And the cool air blows across the heatsinks to cool the lights and it removes humidity as well. :joint:

Here are two pics of the fridge or "growth chamber". The lights are custom LED. They are not all on in this pic as i have not flowered yet.
The cool air from the fridge blow out across the light banks to cool them. Then down through the chamber.
I have completely rewired this unit for my needs. Added digital T-stat to control temp. And i have added a humidistat to control the RH. I do need to add more air circulation before i flower the ladies.

If you have any questions please ask. Thank you.

I doubt it with LEDs they don't really create to much heat. I bet the conditions are pretty ideal in that setup.

Are you having issues with RH levels going crazy or heat?

No issues so far. But i figure it will be easier to add more fans now then when they are in full bud. Plus if it turns out i dont need them then i can remove them for the next grow. :joint:

With all leds on there are approx 140. 3watt leds. It can get pretty warm. Not compared to HID lights though. However i figure to err on the side of caution and provide the extra air flow now. I can always remove them for the next grow. Plus i have the fans on hand any way.

I love the experimentation of the learning process. :woohoo:

I did forget to mention that the humidistat is connected to an external fan that draws out the air to reduce humidity. (There is a filtered inlet hole at the bottom of the back.) This does allow for fresh co2 exchange for the plant.

Looking good stony....as u approach flower have u given thought to carbon scrubbers to take care of odor?

Absolutely. The air that is exhausted is filtered through a very large carbon filter. It was actually too big for what i needed but i am making it work for now. So hopefully with its large capacity i wont need to change it this go around.
Actually to my surprise these ladies have quite a scent just in veg. I cannot wait till they flower! :woohoo:

Your setup looks top notch. Been contemplating doing a fridge build with a working fridge but I was worried that there would be issues with condensation. how did you combat that? Also how do you keep the fridge from constantly running? Would think with a heat source, even as mild as a led fixture, the fridge would constantly be competing, which would take its toll on the compressor.

Right now I'm in a small pc case doing micro....next time you feel like you are in limited space just think of that! If I switched to a fridge and still used the same techniques (budsicles/sog) It would be like having 10 of my pc cases....that would make for LOTS of nuggage.

Anyways, I enjoy your thread. Excited to see it progress....and even more excited the hear some smoke reports!!

Well so far theres no condensation. Like i said i rewired the system. I removed the defrost timer (This keeps the compressor running if the tstat is calling for it). I by passed the door switch.( if u notice in the pic at the top where the wire comes out for the frige light. I use that to power my lights. And yes i checked the wire size for the amp load of the lights fans etc. Its well within range.
The Digital thermostat keeps the unit 75-77.
When the compressor runs it naturally removes moisture and also the humidistat that draws out side air keeps it in check. The out side air also helps keep the unit cool. So wear n tear on the compressor is minimal. And worst case senario...i do refrigeration.

For those that like detail. I found two more pics of the fridge during the build. These show the lights a little better.
