Stoney herbs I'll give ya a good tip from me to you. If you wanna have your camera take amazing pictures under your led while it's on this is what you do.

Take a white piece of paper put in your grow room or fridge let the light bounce off the piece of paper. Now take your camera go into your white balance settings you want the setting where u can manually set your white balance. Now when you are in that setting you should see a box where you aim your camera at the piece of paper with the light bouncing off the paper it will say measure select that option and your camera will auto adjust your white balance. After you hit the measure button and the camera does the adjusting back out of the settings and your done point and shoot and take clear pictures under your led.

Ok. No new picks yet. Its been over two weeks now and the blue hash is getting very sticky. The Royal is not sticky at all yet. I do expect the hash plant to be very sticky. But I didn't expect it to get sticky this soon. This is cool! I could see doing this for a living! (Legally).

Great journal, I was surprised it took so long for someone to post on it. Question: Why not just scrog if you are going to prune so much, more uniform light, you have the LST time with the extending veg. I like the approach of planting midway so you can fill it up after defol of the bottom three nodes to achieve new root surface area. Smart.

Hey thanks Dreams4dreamin! I have to admit that so far i am really pleased with the results. The only real problem has been the Royal. She was a finiky eater in the veg cycle but so far in flower shes been doing great!
The Blue Hash is excellent. She is so sticky and smelly i could not resist takin a couple of flowers early. I have to say that at this early point with the BH the buzz is very nice! I cant wait till shes cured.

I could totally see having a green house of ladies to tend to on a daily basis. The joy for me so far has been learning to "listen" to the girls. Of course i have a long way to go...But what a journey! :joint:

Thanks tact1 and welcome to IC. As for not scroging, i really didnt know what to expect. I did do some LST on the bottom branches to bring them out. I defoiled to get light to the bottom bud sites. So will see how it goes. I do have plans to change the setup for the next grow.
Thanks for chiming in. :joint:

U seriously didn't take buds off a plant that was only 4 weeks into flowering? Why would you even waste your time? I can see being excited first grow and all but that is a waste. Maybe taking a bud around 8 weeks if it's a 9 week strain then maybe pull a little nug off and sample it.

Also don't go by what breeders claim that the seeds will finish at I usually find most strains will go close to the 70 mark if the breede claims 55 to 60 days so keep that in mind. It would be great to have a microscope or a loupe so u can keep a eye on the triches so u can pull them at the right time when they peak.

I know it's your first grow and your excited but you will realize that picking buds early is a waste of time. You wait almost 4 months to grow and take your plants to harvest when they are ripe but pulling buds so early in flower is a waste of time. You will find this out when you finally harvest ripe buds.

Either way plants are coming along nicely.

True enough Mikenite69. It was clearly an act of desperation...and new guy impulsiveness.
Thank you for the insight on when to harvest. I will pick up a loupe asap so i can watch the triches. :watchplant:

Here is a pic of the Blue Hash in flower at 4 weeks. She is much shorter than the Royal Kush. She is more like a bush.

How long did you keep the Blue Hash in Veg?

Good luck for fat buds and good smoke!

Thanks Irael. Both ladies sprouted from seed aprox 10/12/14. They have been in flower for one month as of 1/12/15. So to answer your question about the veg cycle, it was aprox a month and a half. Of course that was from seed.
Thanks for chiming in. If you have any other questions please ask. Or pointers, i love information. :smoke out:

You really did a great job spreading that blue hash out she is gonna give you a very nice yield. Keep up the great work I swear if you didn't tell people it was your first grow people would think you have been growing for a while. That girl looks super healthy she is a nice branchy plant showing that u worked her properly. Great job!!!

Now just get her to harvest don't take her to early or else you wasted all those months keep that in mind but either way very impressive and Great job for your first grow.

Thanks Mikenite69 i really do appreciate the kudo. I do have to give most of the credit to alot of my fellow growers here at IC. If i had to learn this with out all you experienced people to help i would have killed these plants several times over. All i did was keep an open mind and follow directions. Like i said from the beginning... I am just trying to have fun here and learn along the way. :joint:

Stonyherbs....I'm with u on that! There's a few of the folks here on icmag that may as well have been sitting in my "growroom" doing my work for me with all the help/instruction they supplied.

Absolutely. I have had many nice individuals stop in and help me out. But this site has been a tremendous resource. All the different tips and techniques available. All you have to do is be willing to read and use some common sense. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am sure there are lots of folks here that feel the same way we do. :smoke out:

It's always sumn new around the corner to learn. I dislike the flashy know it alls & the overdoers.. All it takes is to b humbled, a little patience & dedication. that alone will help u conquer some the most difficult tasks. & this site definitely has enough information for generations, jus have to be willing to learn and put the time in. I definitely cant wait to see sum expansion from your garden. Frm 2 plants up to 10 lol. I believe u have what it takes..
