I am still working with about 100, 1980s Southern California, well selected bag seed. This is the source of the aforementioned 1983, and 1984 cultivars being bred. I find it interesting that the true Skunk devotees are also Sativa purists as well. Perhaps most interesting is the decades old Sinaloan Highland seed my friend got to germinate after working with 100+. Out of 200 of the old bagseed, only the 1983 and 1984 have lived to maturity. These old seeds are a royal pain in the ass, full of frustration, but they will help "unbottleneck" the cannabis gene pool a bit perhaps.
