Rapper Lil Wayne Detained In Texas Over Marijuana

Top rapper, Lil Wayne was detained by US Border Patrol agents after drug dogs found marijuana on his tour buses in Texas. He was coming from a concert date. A dozen people in his entourage were detained and eventually released, but charges may be filed later.

Lil Wayne, known for his marijuana use is scheduled to begin a prison sentence in New York in February for gun charges. That same day his new CD will be released.

A recent article about Lil Wayne's effort to sell his Florida condo, noted that the condo's intense marijuana smell has made it more difficult for agents to find a buyer.

why are snoop and dre, why is seth rogen allowed to cross the border? not constantly harrassed?

Lol my post got deleted....Ill say it again though. He is a degenerate and contributes nil. We definitely need people aspiring to have metal in their mouth, guns around pot making all of us look like criminals. And the way he talks, DUMB!

^bingo, know this didin't start from dogs detecting MJ odor..then again it is little wayne so maybe everyone saw this coming including LEOs "waynes in mexico, lets net him on the way back"

Yea well it's not like he's a "big fish" or anything... he might have a lot on him but I'm pretty sure he ain't servin... do they expect him to flip on his dudes or something??? This whole saga is just retarded.

The way he talks? Are you kidding me? For someone that never finished school he is pretty damn eloquent if you ask me. Did you see his interview with Catie Couric? He actually espoused fairly conservative ideological positions. What makes him a degenerate? And even more importantly, what is wrong with guns? I grew up around guns and there is no reason in hell that exercising your right to grow weed should preclude you from owning or possessing a gun and exercising your 2nd amendment right to do so.

They were detained by border patrol because in Texas, and probably all states that border mexico, there are check points that you've got to drive past and submit your ID while the drug dogs get walked around your vehicle. It was stupid to have weed in the bus in an area like that.

There is nothing wrong with guns. Pairing them with weed is just asking for trouble and I doubt lil wayne is a freedom totin gun carrier... Also, yes he is more intelligent than he leads on...that's the sad part. Guy sounds like a complete tool and his music is terrible (subjective issue - im sure many disagree). I called him a degenerate because he embodies a sizeable handful of the issues that I think are plaguing western culture.

I don't care about trouble. Growing weed is asking for trouble. It is a our right and so is having a gun so fuck the politicians and anyone else that wants to curtail our fucking rights. It is time to stand up to all those pricks that want to curtail our rights, not condemn those that choose not to follow their laws. Is Wayne a constitutional lawyer? No but his argument against the controversy over his "dixie cup" drink was that it was "HIS cup." This idea of ownership of person and property is important because personally I believe it is what underlies our right to have cannabis and every other drug, that it is our property, our body is our property and we may destroy it if we wish. So you don't like his music, thats fine but the fact is that much of his music is deeper and more profound in subject matter than 90% of what you hear on most stations today. That probably speaks more to the lack of good music than Wayne's being terribly great but fuck man I will take an introspective rapper over miley cyrus any day of the week. How does he embody these things and what are they? Fuck the man tours all year, he doesn't sit back like a fat cat, he lives on that tour bus riding around making music and playing shows so he can be sure his kid is taken care of and his mom doesn't have to move back to the hood. I dunno, as far as rappers go, I think he is one of the more credible to actually look up to. Peace.

I always wondered if by me making this Lilwayne name here would make or break the real lil wayne? Since ive made this name here, ive seen lil wayne rise and fall... perhaps its just coincidence?

It really makes me wonder if this name has anything to do with anything?

LiL Wayne wasn't in Mexico. He never left Texas.

"The tour buses were en route to Laredo, Texas, from a concert in Hidalgo, Texas."

Many people don't realize that the border patrol have sub-stations miles from the US/Mexico border, on all highways heading north out-of the rio grand valley.


Many people are not aware of these border patrol stations, and as a result get busted.

he's only doing a year. that's punk ass time, he's got too much paper for this to be an issue. he'll become even a bigger household name when he comes home and i'm quite sure he doesn't care about anyone who does like him or his music. small blip on the screen
