Raist: None of that panegyrizing is necessary man.....you're making me feel like some sort of mother teresa and it's an undeserved reputatation. The reality is: I saw a friend with a problem.....so I assisted in a way that I could. I guarantee that you've done something similar in your life for your friends or family. I appreciate the sentiment and I'll be happy to accept all the "rep" people want to throw at me (LOL).
You know my ultimate hope is to have you have healthy clones available 'round the clock.
But I'll digress for a second: before I came to IC Mag......I grew for years...and have known quite a few growers. Those growers never had alot of beans to crack, but they always seemed to have a few strains they kept alive via clone for years. It's only here that I've been exposed to a culture where people routinely crack open beans and run them through flowering. I see it in countless threads. There's really NO problem with that at all, and I applaud it...however....how many times has everyone run across some bean they grew to completion....and regretted not keeping a clone alive so they could have it again and again?
If I'm not mistaken, Raist: you mentioned that you had previously done a run of "Chocolate Chunk". You said it was great and you'd highly reccommend it....then I recall you stating that you couldn't really get your hands on it easily anymore. The sole picture you kept from that "CC" grow was your only memory of something that was lost to time.
Having this EZ Cloner ensures you NEVER have to endure that again. You can crack beans until your heart's content...but inevitably you'll want to keep some things intact for the future. Right now I have friends in the midwest that have kept 1 particular strain alive for over 20 years. They have NO idea what the lineage is, where it came from (it was just a bagseed initially)....and they've never seen anything like it again...anywhere. To date, they claim that they still have no tolerance to that strain. If they thought they could find it again......they wouldn't have to keep it alive for over 2 decades.
Beans are exceptionally cool to run. We live in an era that seed proprietors like seedbay and the boo can get you what you want right now, with relative safety. There are limitations....I'll give you the ultimate for instance:
I've been trying to get my hands on TGA Subcool's Sputnik V.1 and V.2. They are SIMPLY NOT AVAILABLE ANYMORE. At the time of Ed Rosenthal's Big Book of Buds V3....when it was first publicized....there were only 40 seeds left on the planet. Now they're gone. I could offer to pay tens of thousands of dollars to acquire them....but they don't exist. They're lost in antiquity....
That happens to strains left and right.....there was a laundry list of things I wanted to purchase while in the 'dam. Over 40% of what I wanted was no longer being produced in favor of other "more popular" "new fangled" strains.

Now I've gone on yet again...at length...forever. So my original and really only salient point: EZ is my ultimate good vibe for you. You use it in good health. I'm certain you'll do us all proud.

I have to say thanks again to all you boys and girls for motivating me. The bubble cloner I built worked like a champ, I posted a pic of the already transplanted 12 day clone in the FUCKEM thread.

Smoked it, plus plenty of other things that have gone the way of the dinosaurs...
My Long Island buddies and I are working on getting it here again. There are only 3 hiccups:
1) Bringing it here. It's clone only....and they're a bit more than half a continent away. 1a) The first problem is sending it safely....I already have some great ideas sent to me via PM. 1b) The second problem is that our mutual friend moved away years ago...and we really don't get around to speaking with him much....upon contacting him out of the blue to see if "that" strain was still around he was happy to hear from us....but really ultimately wants someone to come out, socialize....hang out...stay for awhile and then leave with it. Since we're all older with families....travelling has been kept to a minimum or "as-needed" basis.
2) Once we get it: segregating it from the population of stuff we already have...I don't need any mites, aphids, whiteflys..etc. One of my boy's rooms in Long Island is constantly infested....and he refuses to take the right steps. So I never accept anything from him, but I bring him stuff.
3) Space: We're all on full tilt with beans and/or clones. Got our hands full...very little room to experiment....although this "rarified" clone would certainly be an exception.

Lastly, it wasn't a midwest strain. It originated out here somewhere.....and travelled to the midwest....When some of the old school growers retired or moved....it left also. At that time, most of my other friends weren't growing...so they went on looking for other people to buy from and it wasn't considered a big deal. In retrospect....they regret the loss. Good news is it's out there...somewhere...waiting to come back for a sequel.

If & when I get my hands on it.....you can bet your bottom dollar that it'll be a keeper...and of course you guys (F.U.C.K.E.M./E.C.C.) are welcome to a cutting.

the apes didnt make it.......I was pretty hurt cuz the smoke is very tasty....the cut that did make it was the PA Bubba haze which im very fond of....big ups to my homie for sharing it....u know who u are.....yes there chilling in the cmh mini cab....the sour bubble x toxic lemon are getting bushy heres hoping there chics...lol...I will throw pics when there ready....im going to buy the items needed to build my bubble cloner thanx to lou grew....

a few tips though, when taking close pics have your settings on the flower pic should say macro
hold steady as you can or prop the cam on something
but lots of practice bro, take pics all the time and play with your settings till you figgure out whats what
you could even start a thread and ask the pro's for help, that would be your best bet i would think

The air hose attached to the air pump should go through the notches on the long side of the ez. Dont know where that bolt goes unless it is the one that attaches the aero unit to the water pump. There should also be a filter that should go in the water pump.
