i agree SKELETOR is right on with the intermatic suggestion. Too easy and reliable. Quick question for SKELETOR or ??- you wrote, "into a 4 sq inch box holding 2 duplex receptacles(4 outlets for 4 fixtures)" Do they make duplex 240v receptacles? I have only seen 120v duplexes. Are 120v duplexes okay to use?

i love all of u who helped me...and discouraged me, cause it made me want to do it even more... this thing was not even the slightest problem to build (thanx to stonewall and buzzzzzz) and is working like a dream.... i'm so fuckin happy i didnt buy the intermatic. i reallly think this is easier if u have a dryer plug setup. i'm using the double pole double throw relay rated at 40 amps, just not using the extra pole lol... i exchanged it for a 120 volt coil and voila! i wanna post pics but me have no camera... sooon!

i just really weanted to thank those who helped, cause u guys saved my ass!!!! :kissass: :kissass: :kissass: :kissass: :kissass: :kissass:

Billbob they do make duplex 240V receptacles but I live alone and just use 120V receptacles, this way you dont have to cut the power cord and install a 240V cord cap(plug)The weakest point of any electrical system is in the splices and I've just dleted one using 120V receptacles.I'm not suggesting anyone else do it.EDIT Wayser I'm glad it all worked out for you,as for easier than using a WH40,I dont think so bro.Yopu could have mounted the 40 dollar WH 40 right over the dryer plug and come out with 6 inches of wire to the receptacles.Your supplies are the WH40 and a couple receptacles and box
