Yeah if that's how YOU want to ask...you're likely not going to make it far in first place, no matter whether that be with growing or else.

OR you can call and ask if you have this "incredible new invention called Smart Meter @ your place installed" because you have seen on TV how much easier they can make it to save energy.

They will give you the answer desired.

I have called a couple differnet electric companies to test out theories and said the ceramic class at the local college was cut due to funding, so my classmates and I really need a studio, so im setting up a 3 kilns in my barn and all my classmates are going to fire their clay at my house since we no longer have access to the college workshop. Ask them if you can calculate how much electricity the workshop will use and how much that will cost so you and your classmates can split the bill. that way you can let them know you have 3 11,0000w kilns at your spot, and they wont ever bother you. you might have to get permits for the kilns, but make sure you clarify its for hobby. you will need permits for any home business. if you want a business account for power you need a taxID number. which means you need to have the IRS involved, but thats not a huge deal, save your recipets and file a small amount of income at the end of teh year.

high bills are never the first piece of info to investigate a grow, first its a snitch, then its your bill. the stupied article about the mexican guys running 230,000kw is foolish as the reporter misquoted, considering it was an apartment, just like every indoor plant is worth a 1lb or $10,000 on the street

only one way to hide youy electricity pattern imo if you have a smart meter, run ballasts 24/7, with relay switches on timers, that way there is no spike in your electricity consumption and you can have 2 rooms both on 12/12

you say that are running almost non stop, you run a flip flop, so the power draw is constant, and of course there will be flux and flows but that is normal, if it was completely steady then it would look weird

the power company doesnt have time to monitor daily flux in electric use, you have justified the use and the spikes

and the spikes dont come with labels haah I get what your saying, they assume its a dryer or a tv ect.

for veg with a flip flop, all you need to is throw a tek5 in the room that comes on the for the other 6hrs to keep the plants vegging


in all honestly, 36k for a home is waaay to much, unless your on a farm or have a legit business that the city permitted and a IRS taxID

That's why they use automated programs for that.

And please when you read the below don't pick out just the part suiting your post.

Those programs pick out unusual high consumption as well, not just spikes.

right, they know the average kwh a product uses so they can pretty much guess what it is. so it your ballast are 24/7 thats a straight line, then everytime the AC turns on or the chiller it spikes a lil then goes down, all looks very normal

a flip flop is the only way to break that 12/12 cycle which could be very detectable,

a few of the companies said if I could run the kilns from 8pm-8am they would give me a discount for off-peak hr hahahahaha I said I think I might be able to pull that off

And doesn't a registered business get safety inspections?

its all good info strain man, you gotta plan carefully to avoid these smartmeters, leaving the smallest 12/12 foot print is your best choice. flip flop is a must for smartmeters

this place is only for flowering. so the flip flop will work. goal is to keep plant numbers below 100. not tryin to get any jail time if some piggie decides to boot my door down. under 100 shit you could have 100 1000wbulbs and still walk away slap on the wrist. all about plant numbers here.

Be careful Aero, If this place is zoned as commercial you lose your basic rights of privacy that we have inside our personal homes. A commercial business can be FLIRed with no warrant since it is not a home. Not sure what other areas they can screw you but if they suspected you were growing they could use inspections or such to gain access.

Any commercial location that has an occupational license is open to inspections.

Ya'll act like these so called inspections are the norm in every county. Like hell they are. Inspections are mostly carried out on the county and municipal level. If you stay out of municipalities and counties that require inspections then thats one less thing you have to worry about.

OSHA, ha! They just dont go out and inspect businesses willy nilly. If you can keep your local petty officals out than you're golden. Do your homework and you won't have any problems from them.
