A friend has passed me this photo. Above it says Haze 19. Has anyone seen it before?
If I'm not mistaken, Haze 19 was the clone that Sam gave to the Positronics seed bank to make the original Haze.
It doesn't seem very nld or wild like other original haze plants.
Thh comes from positronic, maybe that's where thh plants come from that look more "indica"...

If haze 19 was a cutting it couldn't be both male and female, maybe it's nirvana's old 19 x skunk haze? It had several pheno ranging from slender sativas to fat skunky indica....

I'm not sure but I would bet that photo belongs to positronics.
I remember reading here or in another post that someone asked Sam about haze from positronics.
He said that haze 19 was the one they liked and about the male he said he did not know what they used.
So, either they looked for a haze male from the original sam seeds that I don't know if they had OH seeds or they used another male that we don't know which one it is.
Tom Hill got the haze in 1995 and this positronics catalog is from 1996.
Flowering times don't match tom hill haze.
Either they lied about flowering times or they sold tom different haze seeds than the ones they would sell a year later...
If you look closely, they have haze19 x skunk#1 in the catalog just like the photo. That plant comes out planted. Will it be a photo of when they made the crossing?

It may be that they put fewer days of flowering...
I grew 30 Tom Hill Haze plants and there were both male and female columnar plants that did not exceed a meter in height and others were around 2 meters...
I know that phylos is not very reliable but I would like to know if it could be related to skunk or another short flowering
as much as tom says that his haze does not have "indica".
It doesn't look like other strains like Old Timers Haze which is also Colombian.
If tom didn't add something to the mix, positronics did.
It is only my opinion and without analysis it is just talking for the sake of talking.:tiphat:

Thai, the secret recipe is thai, and selection (and who know whatelse)...
Obviously haze has always given rise to a series of discussions, there are many ways of thinking ...
I have grown Tom Hill Haze, and it seems plausible to me that it contains Thai, probably what is called "highland", but I repeat, they are only theories, hypotheses, nobody knows what is really in haze...
Same thing for Ot1haze....
Just my 2 cents

thats not Haze19 pic., I guess a misunderstanding.
This is supposed to be legit pic of Haze #19, you can find these phenos easily in THH.

That haze is closer to 16 weeks than the 10 weeks listed in the 1996 catalog.
Those photos are much more recent, where did they come from or why do you think it's haze19?
It's a shame sam doesn't talk here anymore...

Currently and according to positronics they have used haze 19 in one love haze.

"The forgotten Haze #19 was chosen for this work, which represents an advance in terms of earliness, harvest time and unbeatable production, common handicaps in sativa varieties."
70-80 days flowering.
