Well you're right in that I'm not fully equipped for summer, so my next step is to quarantine the heat like we've been talking about. Just gotta get through the next month!

Cheers!

Make sure you wash your plant with soap and water often, then rinse it in alcohol before smoking it.
(the plants may turn against us and give us the COVID !!!). Lol

I feel like Picard with this bigger cab, constantly changing the number of lights.

There are now 5 lights, each 14 watts. My temps haven't cleared 80 and the room they're sitting in is about 72, so I think I'll be in good shape for a while! Still just using it for veg now.

JHxPG is at day 65 and is looking close. I'm probably gonna cut it on day 70, the trichs look good and mostly cloudy, if I cut it a little early I'm not so worried. I'm gonna try to reveg that plant, maybe give it another go. I like the bud density it's developed and would love to try taking some clones and getting a little more out of it.

My cloning space, however, has dropped in quality. Plants are at 14 days in the cloner and aren't looking too hot. Yellowing edges of the leaves and no roots to speak of. I might need to let these clones go and try again, but only when the plants they got cut from get big enough to have clones taken. Probably another week.

No pics right now cuz lazy

That mega cab looks rad!! Clean build too. I'm scheming about building a bigger box too.
Thanks for swingin by!

I built it out of 3/4" melamine boards I got from Home Desperate, It's really heavy. When I build more I'll be using thinner material.

I spoke too soon! I havent looked at the roots of my clones in a few days, just looked at the leaves and assumed they weren't doing anything, but I've got roots on 5/8! One died because it lost moisture, wasn't in the medium deep enough to maintain contact. My Conifers have the most root structure, and only one of the DWxCONs has a tiny root developing.
Still, maybe a week before I can put them all into their own pots.

JHxPG almost done!

I've been really surprised with this plant, especially these last 3 weeks of flower. She really packed on some rock solid buds and has definitely gotten to the quarter-ounce territory.

I plan on revegging this plant after harvest. Definitely wanna give this another go :joint:

Today was the day. Harvested my JHxPG. Smallest harvest yet! These buds smell like sour grape candy and are pretty dense. The top buds have a lot of purples in them, but the bottoms are a vibrant bright green. Trichome production is good. Not unbelievable, but I'm really happy with it for such a budget space.

Drying bin is basically a plastic tote with a nylon mesh fabric holding everything up. Passive air intake on one side, low powered pc fan as exhaust on the other side. I have a hygrometer in there that generally reads between 55% and 62% humidity, so that's freakin' perfect.

I think I'll have this dry by the 20th! I'll at least be able to sample a bud, aka 15% of my crop

Yesterday morning I was bored and sorting some seeds. Was trying to come up with a way to share some for this month with friends, and in doing so just ended up bagging a bunch of 10-packs of my sour urkle x vulcan. I found some questionable ones saved in the whole bin of seeds, and decided to just see if they were worth anything. I threw a few into a damp paper towel and tossed them into a drawer.

Today I took a look at them, and what do you know, at least 4 of them have tails!

This SUV line is what I have the most experience growing. I've probably popped 90+ seeds in the last 2 years of this strain. Barely took any photos of these plants for some reason, so at this point I might as well do a little online documentation. I already made F2s of this, but they've not been tested so I don't wanna share them just yet. The F1s, however, have been thoroughly tested, and I can definitely say that there's at least a few keepers in this little bin here.

Check it out! Just about 2 days and 8 out of 9 seeds have sprouted! These weren't runts at all...

JHxPG is drying a lot faster than I had expected. I had it in a box with a weak fan pulling air through it and it seems like that was too much. I gotta leave the fan off for most of the day for such a small harvest, the general ambient humidity will dry it out slow enough. Stem almost snapped today when I was checking it. Whoops!

BBGs and the chuys are looking pretty and healthy. BBG's are definitely packing more bud than the jhxpg and the chuys. Fuckin bagseeds are beating my seeds. lol.

8 SUV seeds have sprouted above the soil and are in full light. These things are just as vigorous as I remember. That's the first thing I liked about this cross. Almost all the seeds popped within 2 days and they all grew pretty quick. Unfortunately I would end up with mostly males. I wonder if that trend will continue...

Jack Herer x Purple Goat is all done drying for the most part, so this morning I trimmed it up and jarred it. It dried a little faster than I expected, but my town got such gorgeous weather this week that the ambient humidity dropped from a normal 55% down to below 40%, so I had to actively slow this down by keeping it in a tupperware to dry rather than a vented bin.

Anyway, it looks gorgeous. 6.2 grams after trim

Little text up date

JHxPG dried really quick but I saved it with a boveda pack. Should be testing out the first crop on the 20th. Plants in flower (BBG and ChuyxPG) are in great shape. Temps are staying under 80 and they should be done within a month.

SUV seedlings: we now have 7, one died from possible over-watering. They're well ahead of why I expected and I suspect they'll have their 2nd set of true leaves by monday.

Clones are in great shape, getting plenty from the conifer parents. I should have sex of those figured out in less than 2 weeks since those clones will be put into a flower cycle this weekend.

Stay safe everyone :joint:

I wasn't looking for keepers when I threw these Chuy x Purple Goat seeds into pots... Day 43F and I've just now taken clones from the bottom in case I can't reveg this gorgeous plant. She smells like oranges and cantaloupe

Big weekend kept me off the site for the most part. I basically spent the last few days super stoned watching star trek, and it was awesome.

JHxPG test smoke was potent but obviously too fresh to really get a feel for it. Very racy and spacey high, scatterbrained thoughts and lots of anxious energy. That might calm down a bit as it cures. Flavor was unnoticeable since it's only been 15 days since harvest. I anticipate smell and flavor to build back up in the upcoming month. Final weight was 6.3 grams fully dried. Not bad!

The other plants in the 1x1 flower cab have a few weeks left! 2 BBGs and 2 ChuyxPGs. As photographed above, CxPG#2 really came out of nowhere these last 2 weeks. The BBGs are definitely the leaders in mass production though. Fat buds that just dwarf the other few plants I've flowered in this cab.

Once the plants in the 1x1 cab are done flowering, I'll move everything around and turn the Mega cab into the flowering cab. I've almost made the switch a few times, but I gotta make sure I have clone backups of some of these plants before I do something like that. Who knows, maybe today is the day!

Chuy x Purple Goat #2, day 46F (yesterday)

Thanks I'm super excited about it!

Seems I'm in the shopping mood since I can't go anywhere... I've found some lighting systems that might work for my mega cab and help with the heat. There's a company called SolStrip that makes some cool samsung LED light bars that would work really well in my bigger cabinet. They're too large for my 1x1's but that's to be expected.

https://solstrip.com/shop/strips-and-stix/solstix/solstix-x3
Really interested in their SolStix X3 since there's an option with far-red diodes! I haven't seen anyone post any reports about these lights, though. The price is pretty good, so I'm really leaning on getting 2 of the X3's with a dimmer and just run them at 50%

Well yesterday the mailman made me feel like it was Christmas. More seeds came! I've gotten more breeder packs this month than any other time in my life. Seems while everyone else is hoarding lysol and toilet paper, I've been building up a seed bank.

Got some chem & 88G13HP crosses from bodhi, and some Sour x AO from catnip!

I don't know if I'll be growing any of these strains out this year, but we'll see what happens. I've got a shit ton of plants to dig through currently. I'm hoping that one day I'll have a bigger grow space available to take advantage of some of these sativa strains. I'll definitely be testing out some of the Hashplant D that I got though :D
