Q3corn's dank mini adventures

I'm just speculating but when lemon juice and baking soda are mixed they react and you get a bunch of CO2 bubbles.

Peroxide only reacts with organic matter and you may not end up with as many scrubbing bubbles.

If the goal is bubbles, then you make a good point. I don't use h2o2 for bubbles, I use it to kill mold, spores, and buggers.

I'm just guessing about the bubbles.

As far as I know, both lemon juice and baking soda can kill stuff but h2o2 is way more effective at it.

I wonder if it kills the COVID?

DWxCONs hermied!! Fack!
Gonna watch them like a hawk! I'm starting to wonder if these were even pollinated by Conifer, and not just hermied seeds on their own? Both of these plants look and smell identical to dogwalker. Huge chem and OG nose, fat leaves with short petioles...

Maybe I just go get a dogwalker clone and do this again

Oh whoops! I haven't updated in a while!
BBG's got chopped down 4 days ago. They look great and are probably about 7 or 8 grams dried. I did my usual h2o2 bath for them.

CxPG's will get harvested in the next day or two. They look and smell gorgeous!

I haven't mentioned this part of my project, but I have 5 Conifer plants that I'm using to open-pollinate to get to F2. I just put them into one of my 1x1 cabs last night. 3 ladies and 2 dudes. I got a few clones of the ladies so I can smoke them sans-seeds, but my main goal is to make seeds with these.

Thanks I'm super excited about it!

Seems I'm in the shopping mood since I can't go anywhere... I've found some lighting systems that might work for my mega cab and help with the heat. There's a company called SolStrip that makes some cool samsung LED light bars that would work really well in my bigger cabinet. They're too large for my 1x1's but that's to be expected.

Really interested in their SolStix X3 since there's an option with far-red diodes! I haven't seen anyone post any reports about these lights, though. The price is pretty good, so I'm really leaning on getting 2 of the X3's with a dimmer and just run them at 50%

Did you end up buying any LED strips ?

I did! My lights should be coming in the mail today!

Didn't get a DIY kit, I got a prefab'd kit that was on clearance from the Solstrip company. a light built with the lm561c diodes, so it's a little bit older tech. Dimmable range is I think 70-200 watts, so having it nearly all the way down will be perfect for my larger cabinet. And with the driver separated my temps will be under control!

There's no details about the light online anymore since I bought the last one. I'll post specs when it shows up!

I'm sure it's way easier than what I'm doing for lighting.

Old tech is only a couple of years older...

It's a lot cheaper.

In two years, the new tech will be old tech and will be 1/4 of the price.

Well it showed up! Great packaging! Except one crucial flaw...

I must have made a mistake in ordering it. The rep I spoke to said it was dimmable, but I wasn't sent a dimmable driver, just sent an HLG-150H-24 constant current constant voltage... So I've sent the rep an email asking about it.

Maybe I fucked up, maybe they were misinformed, who knows! I wasn't gonna be hooking this up for another 2-3 weeks anyway... But as it stands, I got a good light! I turned it on and it's bright as hell, and the fixture does get warm to the touch, but nothing like an SIL.

So anyway, regardless of what happens with this driver, I will be getting another one that actually works for my environment. Some time.

Have you checked your driver for something like this??

There could be a hole through the case with a potentiometer underneath.

There's no openings on the driver for any screws, and the label doesn't identify it as being dimmable

I'm thinking they sent the wrong one. Hopefully I won't have to pay for the right one!

Suspicions confirmed, they sent me the wrong driver. Just gotta mail it back to them and get the right one... Shouldn't be more than 2-week turnaround.

On another note, Chuy x Purple Goat plants are gonna come down either today or tomorrow! Just gotta watch the trichs...

Let me know how the light works out for you.

If it were me, I'd probably buy 5 of them and mount them on the walls too. Lol

It's a square panel light right?
