I'm just speculating but when lemon juice and baking soda are mixed they react and you get a bunch of CO2 bubbles.
Peroxide only reacts with organic matter and you may not end up with as many scrubbing bubbles.
If the goal is bubbles, then you make a good point. I don't use h2o2 for bubbles, I use it to kill mold, spores, and buggers.
