nice op! i have thought about this as well but was snagged on explaining sound and a/c in contained room...then i thought i could use portables for a/c and sound proof room....


then thought more.... maybe some kinda trip wire/sensor that would shut of all main components and turn on cfl's +send alert thru e-mail text mes....


there was always the issues with balast but i thought i would just create a panel type room with its own ventilation system inside sealed room.... but looks like putting them on top is much better...

Hey skunk just wondering about the ac

I want to build a sealed room but I dont have the ac thing figured out yet. Urban grower uses the big swamp cooler things cause the energy ef. and quiet but I heard the big ones use 5 gal. of water a minute ouch! Cant do that so I was wondering if you could take one of those dual hose units put the ac part in my room and the outdoor chiller part in my basement next to my room or are those things meant to be outside cause there bad for your health I hope you understand what im saying. My worries about using a window ac is it seems that it would be forcing air into a sealed room and squeeze air out of the room or break the ac i dont know???? Anyways I have a 5x15x8 room with 3x1000 I want it sealed no in or outake I have the co2 burner and the dehumidifier just need help picking the right ac thanks

ahhh this isn't my thread just to let you know.
i'd suggest starting your own thread, but a quick answer is get at least a 12,000 btu a/c and dehumidifier with good air circulation. no swamp coolers they add humidity.

Hey what's going on everyone. I haven't updated the thread in a bit, simply because it pretty much is what it is at this point. I just have to hook up the irrigation in a few days and then start on the other room.

I've mainly been working on getting the first room filled up with ladies.

It's getting a little warmer, so I went ahead and installed the 12" Vortex to get rid of all the hot air from the building:

This thing really sucks hard.


There didn't seem to be any questions to answer this time, other than how I got the place without a Tax ID and SS#. That, my friend, is a closely guarded trade secret, and if no one has let you in on it yet, then you may not be ready .

I'll update whenever I do something new growroom-wise. Plants-wise I'll be doing a grow diary.
