oh yea building rooms takes soooo long. but in the long run you will be very glad you did.

It will really start to look like a grow room o0th3d4nk0o - Yeah, it's taking a little while, but that's only because I'm working with a 60+ year old man and we haven't put in an honest 8 hour day yet We'll have the 3rd and final room (the veg room) boxed out tomorrow. About 5 day's work. I'm blown away by how quickly it's going. I just wish I could stop spending money!! I can't say the craftsmanship was mine, it's all the old man's. I told him how big I needed the rooms, he planned and cut all the wood, I just put it together. All I did was follow directions.

getting the second flowering room done. I didn't think I'd be building the 2nd flowering room for at least another month.

Yeah, I see now the pictures are rather lame. Like I said, I have no more room. From here on out, I'll just be posting pertinent pictures of the grow, ie. ducting for the lights, hanging visqueen, etc.

~deadwood~ - Wow, a job like this solo, for me, would take forever. Plus my skills are nowhere near what my friend's are. Back in the day when I was a teenager (*before I had status, before I had a pager* LOL, I had to add that as I proofread), my boys and I would always be building mini-ramps and vert-ramps for skate boarding, so I had a bit of informal carpentry experience , but nowhere near over 30 years of everyday doing it for a living.

moses224 - Thanks bro. I'm hoping these rooms have a lot of potential too, I've been growing for over 10 years and I think I may have finally gotten it right. I won't count my chickens yet tho!!

Well, all 3 rooms are built. The 2 of us really knocked the shit out of it. I am eternally grateful for his help. I really wasn't even planning on building the 2nd flowering room for another month or so, but he said, "Fuck it, let's just bust our ass and get it all done." The veg room is 12'x8'x8'. No floor for the veg room. It really isn't needed, as I won't be sealing it or anything. I planned and laid everything out such that there was just NOT enough clearance for the two doorknobs on the flowering doors to swing past each other once everything was built. So I replaced one doorknob with a deadbolt and now there is just enough room.

Still left to do:
Line walls of flowering room #1.
Go over all the cracks with Great stuff.
Cut holes for ductwork and AC and wiring.
Hang lights.
Cut a hole in the roof and install 12" exhaust.
Get internet hooked up.
Install security cameras.
Wipe down EVERYTHING to rid fingerprints.


I'm sure there are a few other things that I'm forgetting in my beer buzzed/stoned haze right now. But my goal is to have my ladies in there by Saturday.

I got a late start today because I had to meet my new probation officer. He is cool as can be.

I was also on my own, so I didn't get too too much done.

But I did hang some plastic on 3 of the 6 surfaces. It was my first time doing anything like this. I feel like I did a pretty good job. The 3M super strong adhesive spray is pretty good shit and it's gonna help everything be sealed up well.
