In my experience, the urkle has a average calyx to leaf ratio and smallish buds that are dense as f*ck In fact the densest Ive ever experienced. She gets insanely frosty as evidence by the pics in this thread, and to me she smells kinda like perfume with a bit of a fruity scent as well. Knockout stone (for me at least) one of the few strains that can act as a sleeping medicine for me.
Nice photos! Shes for sure the Urkle. It turns way dark if you keep your room at 65 degrees when the lights are out for the last couple of weeks.
Peace.
For the sake of identification, Urkle WILL have these bright orange pistils, they DO NOT have brown pistils. There are clones being touted as Urkle that are simply NOT Urkle. Be careful!!! If you see a plant that looks like Urkle but doesn't have these ORANGE pistils, it's NOT Urkle. Some folks will defend their non Urkle cut to the end, but without ORANGE pistils, you're looking at a different clone.
I've seen Urkle knock-offs that look somewhat similar, but without orange hairs, and without the barney the purple dinosaur colored calyxes, you're looking at a different clone. No matter what people say, if it doesn't look like this it's simply not the real Urkle cut.
Beware. We REALLY don't need a fake Urkle cut going around the grow scene any more than it already has. KNOW YOUR URKLE. They ALL have bright orange hairs and flourescent purple calyxes after about 45-50 days. When her leaves start to turn purple, they take on a tiger stripe look across the leaves.
If you identify an Urkle without bright orange hairs, you're not looking at the real deal. It's as simple as that. There are PLENTY of knock-offs around, and we are seeing them surface recently. Pride prevents some folks from admitting they might have the wrong cut. But again, no bright orange hairs, no Urkle. Protect your gardens from imposters. Imposter plants can be good in their own right, but if you think it's a particular strain, but isn't, you're being fooled.

Notice this classic Purple Urkle's bright orange hairs and purple calyxes.
Hey CC.....That last shot of Urkle you posted looks Sweet.....Remember when i first thought that this was the Blueberry....And then you helped me Identify it as the Urkle.....It does have Orange hairs too....I love this Strain....She will always be a keeper for me....Even when you break the buds open there is crystals and Purps everywhere.....Nice potency too....~ogr
^^^ Now THAT's Urkle right there. Barney the dinosaur purple with glowing orange hairs. It's so simple to tell, I don't know why there's so much confusion.
Nice shit. The real shit too. Once you've grow her out a few times, you can identify the real Urkle in an instant.
aeric, I honestly don't know about her being mold-prone. My gut feeling is that she's just not fat and sweaty enough to be any more mold-prone than the average plant. I've never seen mold on one personally.
Real Urkel won't always end up like that - kinda depends on how she's ran. My best hydro batches look close to that but i've seen her finished with just purple tints and mostly green. That's all gh hydro tho. Gonna run her 100% organic in a few days and hopefully use some tips i've learned to push her to her limits
