Man you guys got me wanting to smoke some bad.
I smoked some bud the other day called old school purple.
That was alot like urkle. But not as tasty, IMO. It got me fiending for the real urkle.
And so do these pic's!
Excellent representation of Subcool/TGA's fanatstic medical genes. All of TGA's strains I've tried (Jack The Ripper, and Sububble mix) were amazingly potent and with BOG's Lifesaver in JTRipper, it cures "all that ails you".
BTW, *********** stocks most of TGA's line at the lowest price in the world.
Looks Absolutely Beautifull CC!! I've got a few that i just flipped. I'll post a couple pics when their poppin. Thats gotta be some of the most visually stunning herb ive ever seen and i hav'nt smoked her yet, but all i hear is good things, also good to know she does so well in GH 3pt cause i have ran into some Calcium/Magnesium probs with PBP but Cal/Mag + has helped clear that up.
No, Subcool didn't create Urkle. hahaha maybe he's using Urkle in crosses, but he certainly didn't create it himself.
As for purpling up with organics, this one here was done with General Hydroponics nutes, no organics at all. The purpling isn't a matter of cold nights with this one, it's more a matter of proper nutrition all the way til finish. I've grown this clone with organics that never got this purple. It's also a matter of strong light. The better the light source (fresh bulb, good position in the garded) the better the colors will be. Allowing the full term of the plant before harvesting will bring the color too... but I tend to think strong light is what makes the biggest difference color-wise.
B.C. if you're hoping I know the answer to that question, sorry, I don't.
I do know Urkle is quite unique, and anyone who grows it and pays attention to such things would know Urkle when he/she sees it up close.
Funny thing is... I'm flowering a new clone called Purple Kush right now. It's CALLED PK, but I KNOW it's actually Purple Urkle. I suspected this even in veg because it looks identical in every way to PU. I'm not saying the real PK is the same as PU, I think I got the wrong clone. If this IS actually PK I have, then it is either a renamed PU cut, or VERY CLOSELY related to PU. I'm thinking, however, that it is in fact a PU cut mislabeled PU. It's funny because I've had the PU cut for a couple years now, and I thought I was DONE with it... then I find out I'm growing it AGAIN! hehehe Just can't seem to get rid of it!!! hahaha! Don't get me wrong, I love Urkle, but we gotta constantly bvmake room for the new varieties.
CC- more often than not, and after the many norcal parties I have visited, urkle still shows up as purple kusk, grape purple kush, grape ape kush, and I am sure there are more. It may not be mislabled, as many believe the above to be true.
Yeah CC I thought you might know where it came from.Doesn't really matter though.I might jus have ta give this one a run.I don't give two shits about the color (outside of identification),color is as color does,(Forrest Gump lol) nothin.I'm all about the flavor and high.Sure looks like this one fits the bill.....The folks in the other thread I spoke of earlier purdy much said about the same thing Elkslayer said about Urkel.Makes ya wonder huh?........Hey Rez is that the rare kibby's and bits pheno,if it is there's a hermi bud in the middle of it. lol j/k or could this be yer way of sayin color aint that important? hhhmmm...Take care...BC Btw I've lerned more than jus about urkel in this thread, thanks fer the heads up guys.
I know one way to know an URKLE, its very slow in veg, it can drive a person a lil batty when a plant looks and obviously is healthy but it just wont get gowin'!
Nice Urk, CC!
It does get purple with organics to, heres one fed mostly teas with an enriched cocopeat medium. This is an early pic of it. It turned almost black by harvest, and I kept my room at 85°. Irie, Bud
