Yes she is. Going to be large and in charge by the time she’s had her say. AM shots as she begins sunbathing for the day.

Man... that is one gorgeous plant right there. Just beautiful. Tall and lanky but thick in all the right places..... looking like a young runway model working her stuff on the catwalk up in here :biglaugh:

Thanks, OZZ! All goes according to plan, this will be the biggest I’ve grown and in the grove the P Haze x Malawi is the biggest girl. She gets not quite nearly all day sun compared to a few others that are only getting 4-5 hours direct. She’s more like 7-8 hours. I gave the grove plants a light dusting of organic feed granule today. Hope to be back up here in a few days but it may be a week. Temps are really climbing. Low to mid 30’s C. I really should add some silica to my PM organic oil spray to help them along as it will be upper 30’s over the next months.

One more full over head sun.

1.25M. I watered deeply today after a small handful of organic dry ingredients and some aluminum sulfate powder. I’ll PM with oil and some silica late next week.

Can’t believe almost 3 weeks and no updates. Sorry all. These aren’t the best shots. I’ll get some full sun shots tomorrow. This girl is going to need a lot of stakes for support.

I’ve a question for anyone who’d care to listen. Should I chop those lower branches to fix more energy up top? They get hit with the irrigation spray anyway.

Hi Ur Humbl Nr8tor,

Usually an old indoor mother with old trunks moved outdoors requires more support than a fresh clone of the same plant. The structure of your Purple Haze x Malawi is fine imo, don't see many lower branches taking the energy of the plant, anyway prune as per your taste.

Thank you for that dubi. I should have built a better support structure to begin with. Now I’m trying to figure out the best staking options. Hard to find stakes longer than 8’ and I’m not sure how tall she will end up. Any thoughts on final height?

I think she will easily double her size when the early flowering stretching is finished approx in early October.

Thanks dubi. That will put her well over 3.5m to finish. I think I’m going to have to buy some 6m rebar and cut it to around 4.5m. Drive it into the ground and then can either wrap with trellis netting or just use the rebar as anchors for tying and holding stems as the colas develop.

Here she is in full sun this morning.

My buddies clone is yellowing and think we’ve got it pegged to his house water. Hopefully sorting that out.

My plant is showing a tiny bit of yellow at the bottom. 50 gallon hole dug for a 200 gallon girl...so...Another handful of rich organic granular tomorrow.

Beautiful Ur Humbl Nr8tor, these kind of Oldtimer's Haze x sativa vigorous F1 hybrids indeed explode in growth these weeks of August prior to flowering.
You can feed her with a gentle balanced organic liquid fert to avoid lower leaves get more yellow.

Hello, dubi. I’ve been adding a couple of hand fulls of dried organic feed the past few weeks. It’s a slower uptake but hopefully will keep the plants fairly green. I will make up a pH’d half strength nutrient solution and feed next week if I’m seeing more yellowing. Also I plan to add some pelleted molasses. Sunshine shots.

Hopefully better shots tomorrow, but overall she is looking great. I am starting to pound in rebar at 3.7m around the plant and will add some netting for the flower.

I made up a pH’d liquid feed at 1x and fed about 4 or a gallon. Foliar sprayed at half strength. Both with silica and probiotics (EM). Tomorrow that will dilute out with a handful of organic powdered feed in the regular grove watering.

We are in extreme heat time. I only made it this far with the girdling of the PHaxe x Malawi but it’s progress for when the heavy branches come on.

Only slight yellowing on the lowest set of leaf. I’ll probably just keep adding a handful of organic dried feed on a weekly basis and hit with some high P guano again when I start to see some real flower set. I’ll add another layer of netting as well in the coming week. Wondering if I should also wrap around the poles to give another dimension of support.
