GG thanks for dropping bye . I will be fighting the tops for sure. I was at the site today to brace a few of the big girls up. I have to figure out how to get to the top of them so I can string them up. if I can't I will just build them a hammock so when they bend over they will have a place to rest there heads lol

hope all is good with your adventure buddy

thanks madmac sorry to here about the slugs brother. what a pain they must be. I will be looking forward to see your outdoor adventure. as far as my weather I have no problem seeing these make it as we have no real frost to worry about. the only thing that bothers me is keeping these things up write.

orfeas unbelievable how they resemble each other your's seem to be fuller nice job. I go out early morning when most people are still drooling and slobbering in bed lol. they get full sun from 9 am to about 7 pm. the sun is not up over the trees when I go out. do you top yours or is there more than one?

Glad to hear about sunlight, ten hours is way more than enough...

I top only when height issues and this one has been topped for she was going to be given away but parting was hard so I kept her...
The bamboo stakes around her will support heavy colas when necessary.

Huge is the answer. I reckon you might be 3 metres plus by the time they are done.
If you need help smoking her, I'm happy to offer my services :)

When I grew Malawi in the bush in south west Australia 4 to 5 meters was normal, but they were not topped. Yours being bushes will be wide and tall as well, maybe 3 to 4 mtrs, there going to be big, but thats how they normally grow outside get ready for a bumper harvest mate ha ha

Prepare for monsters sir. If you prepare for something huge then if it's not needed, no worries.
Better that than having to try to sort it when they are huge.
Good luck, this is going to be interesting :)

baron I think I am ready at least for 12 footers but if they end up more than that well it will be most interesting to say the least my friend

just had to break the necks on my phxm due to height. I tested one before I done them all and no problem. seems like the stretch is starting now. just laid the top's over to see if it slows them down if I just let keep on the sky would be the limit. does it seem right that my Malawi p3 are shooting pistols already ? they have jump some maybe 2 ft. in the last 1.5 weeks that makes them around 6'. have pic's up in the next few days

Hi flboy!
This is what I've been telling you about cane supporting...
She's over 6 ft now and just as wide, amazing thing is that side branches grow like individual plants that's why one gets confused as to the number of plants, I mean one may think it's more than one plant...mind you the base of the stem is wrist thick  ...had I sowed earlier she would have been nearing 10 ft by now but it's alright for the higher the plant the more conspicuous it becomes...

Dam man you have the nicest Guerrilla plants on here this year. Some backyard farmers wish they had plants that nice. I like your support job, I need to something similar.
Did you just push those branches in the ground?
Cheers GG
