Pure Thai Seeds?

It was originally sold by Nevil during his Grail hunt distributed by a guy that went by RIMMEO.

Edit- (Don't know where to currently get seeds and I don't have any of these to spread around myself.... sorry people).

Southern Star seeds have Gold Rush which is Nanan-Bouclou x Mullumbimby Madness. I will hopefully run this at some point. Zamaldelica is one of my all time favourites though. Sometimes i feel I don't really need anything else!

I would just save your money in that case. The SS offering is half Mango Haze x Mullum Widow and they don't have a pure MM to breed with never have as far as I have heard.

In the f1 or f2 ?
Lao x skunk1, fastest of the f1 was a 14-16 weeker.

And an hybrid containing african and indian genetics crossed to skunk1, f1 were quite fast (max. 12 weeks) but in following generations long flowerer did come out ( as soon as f3).

But as willy said, it's all up to the selection. Generally commercial breeder discard the slower indivuduals, no matter what generation they comes from.

Medusa's Beehive AKA Thia....

That is what my favorite Sativas look like. Beautiful photo.

All great information thank you everyone.

Highland Thai definitely satisfies part of my search for pure Thai seeds though I am still in search of those Thai grail strains as the Highland Thai states the racy/paranoid is not present in the strain and honestly I want the most extreme roller-coaster, rock-climbing with no rope, terrifying soaring Thai sativa possible. :woohoo:

I will order the Highland Thai and roam through the seeds and see what emerges but my eyes are still on the prize of ultra racy, terrifying, heart-pounding, hyper-aware, infinity psychedelic, Thai.

As far as psychedelic strains go how does Malana compare to Zamaldelica and Thai strains?

At this stage in the game I am surprised there is not a seed company that focuses on producing the most psychedelic, tallest and longest finishing sativas, instead of the shortest indicas and hybrids.

I imagine if the laws were not so pervasive and we could grow as we please without trolls with badges, a checklist, and an army infantry policing an aromatic therapy herb, as we currently do with most every other plant -- fruit trees, rose bushes, pumpkins, etc, then this variety of companies and strains would explode and America would get fat and happy real fast and all this fake race war the media has everyone gabbing about would go away but yeah as the thread started out there definitely is some type of agenda to keep us all in a box and only have access to a limited variety either through laws that choke how much effort we produce (6 plants or a field of 60,000 i.e. landraces everywhere), enough hemp to produce gasoline, biodiesel, housing insulation, etc.

I have heard rumors of ~25-30ft Sativas with 12-18 months start to finish time or even some that take 2 or 3 years to finish if they are directly on the equator.

All things considered it makes since Nepal/Papa New Guinea would possess the most out of reach sativas with the modernization of places like Thailand.

I read an article earlier talking about ganja in Morocco and everyone knows how legendary their strains are or used to be since it's practically a canoe ride from Spain and the Americas, and even those local farmers have tens of thousands of ... Dutch strains in their fields.

Who knows maybe landrace "washes" the defects away and keeps the hybrid vigor around.

In any case we are very lucky to have Highland Thai available from The Real Seed Company but wow I wish there were 2 or 3 other varieties at least to try out -- the racy lowland varieties.

Okay and a last tidbit, the 1 strain that seems most holy grail to me, at least my #2 to the thai, is the strain that Franco and Arjan discovered in the Congo on their strain hunting adventure. Every plant was 1 stalk strain up, a pure stimulant with ~8% THC, 8% CBD, 2% THCV.

This was a while ago and GHSC never did release these genetics.

They did release Franco's Lemon Cheese which looks like a promising hybrid.

And honestly maybe I am not "oldschool" enough to know why so many people hate on the two. They seemed like regular guys trailblazing with passion to spread the culture and awareness of this plant and it's people around the world. And all the people telling me this is their "front" I just will never get their reasoning. The only people in this industry I despise are the real criminals using violence to keep the plant away from man or to eliminate other men in the gang mentality. There is enough abundance for us all on earth. More than half of all plant life is under water ..

I wonder why breeders and seeds banks insist in contaminating the genepool of a good Thai or any good South East Asian NLD with Skunk or any other thing with BLD genetics, if they get no advantage. They get not an inpressive shortening of the flowering time but instead they ruin the high of a pure high quality NLD.

Call me conspiranoic, but it seems they don't want we experiment such types of trippy psychedelic high! Or perhaps they want you cannot reproduce at home a true breed strain or heirlooms so they only sell hybrids, as it is happening with tomatoes, peppers, watermelons, eggplant,...

At this stage in the game I am surprised there is not a seed company that focuses on producing the most psychedelic, tallest and longest finishing sativas, instead of the shortest indicas and hybrids.

Hi my friend, I think that is because they have no shortage of customers. Whatever they sell. Western people usually grow in small cabinets. Also most people younger than 40 have never smoked an actual pure NLD, so they don't know what they are really missing. They truly believe overrated hyped polyhybrids are the best weed grown ever in history

About GHS and their Strainraider adventures. They never sell the landraces they collect. They spread their hybrids there promising the farmers higher yields and more income, but they don't explain to them their brightly colored seeds are polyhybrids that will contaminate the same strains they were looking for and taveled so far literally risking their lives to get their hands on those seeds.

What can you expect from people who only sell feminized seeds! They keep those heirloom seeds in the frezer because they know they will be extinct in not so much time. But they are not going to sell the keystone of their business. Never!

P.S.: Moroccan strains where nothing great. Believe me. Nothing legendary, and no quality. Their hash is and was crap The only atractive is you can visit the fields safely and enjoy to be sorrounded by huge fields of kiff, and also buy there som hash straight from the farmer. But compared to a good Thai bud the best Maroccan stuff became into nothingness.

I really love the high of pure tropical sativa, usually i grow them, but I believe that hybrids have both production and flowering advantages, otherwise they would not have had all this success,if you grow a Neville haze you can perfectly understand what I'm saying ...and the production of thai x skunk(or nl5 x haze,or skunk haze....)is superior compared to "pure" form...
we must also consider that a huge part of the market has not the slightest idea of what they smoke, people want just a good weed...
another factor, if you compare a bud of Oldtimer haze with one of Silver haze, the hybrid is more aesthetically commercial...

i forgot....the good hash of marocco is very good,(not powerful, good,it is different)but today the market has imposed the Dutch hybrids with abundant and powerful resin ....

I can't believe there is only a handful of unadultered landrace genetics on the seeds market, and literally a single seller/breeder to get some landrace thai if you're in the US

Talk about a bottleneck. I guess nobody make it out of those regions alive unless your GHS strain hunters lol

Nobody is breeding for high. big mistake because this is where future seed market is going (overall potency/effects/terpenes).

I see a lot of breeding for plants that look good, look "frostiest" and finish fast.

nobody even makes real deal dry sieve hash anywhere outside that country.

Its this gooey resin balls of "bubble hash" which is supposedly superior but i'd rather have a brick of tightly packed trichs.

no, we make it out alive. but very few are looking to make money off of it. So they dont show up on the market.

GHS were openly exploiting people and posting it on the internet,
too arrogant to realize that poor people have access to the internet as well.
and too foolish to realize you dont mess around like that in the Congo.

That looks to be a very handy suggestion.

About the Moroccan, I heard it from one person they were mugged in the sense of actually kidnapped and then forced to buy hash at gunpoint. Nothing is actually stolen in that case.

That Vice episode with them in the Congo really was fkn nuts. An entire village with machetes where trying to wack the GHS crew but they got saved by some dudes with AKs. Looked like an intense situation to say the least.

But I believe malaria killed Franco not voodoo and I don't think anyone in the Congo purposely gave it to him.

Onto the Thai again. Another one I am hoping to get through at one point is the Thai Stick Sativa from our very own Gypsie Nirvana. I really hope someone purchased enough stock to properly reproduce that variety. Kangativa found his Gypsie Thai out of about 30 plants and seemed to like it quite a bit.

I was joking around with a friend that the only I502 in the entire state of Washington that would want something like Mullum Thai would be Kiona. The rest would not touch a 16-18 weeker let alone the ones that go +24 weeks.

People aren't educated about sativas enough yet but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Until they understand that bag appeal is not everything it's an uphill battle.

I only grow for myself and I enjoy that type of smoke but I honestly don't think it would move in the retail shops.

But make proper concentrates and the satties are back in business. Take the bag appeal out of the equation entirely and they have a better shot.

Good example is a friend of mine had some Wedding Cake from Cali last night but I kept sneaking away to the parking lot for some Stardawg x Zamal. I did enjoy smoking on the WC but I knew I couldn't keep it up all night. Yet with a nice African or Thai no problem.

Imagine if some foreign dudes break into your crop and steal your seeds. Luckily for the raiders they have paid to the government troops to act as mercenaries. And they saved them.

How do you feel if you find people stealing your crop?

It seems Franco died from brain malaria form. I am sorry for him.

Ironically they said he returned to Congo to teach people there how to use cannabis for malaria treatment. It seems it is not very effective. I love ganja, but for malaria Artemisia annua works much better.

About GN Thai Stick, I purchased some packs. But seeds didin't sprout very well, and males are really scarce in the strain, because I only found one. I don't understand why people want feminized seeds because in some regular strains males are really strange. Since the male appeared in 2015 I am trying to make seeds, but the male and the females don't flower at the same time. So I am still trying to make seeds. It is the first time I am unable to make seeds.
