Pure Thai Sativas

Hi Highs; Maybe someone can tell me what in the Thai stick strains gave me the matrix highs? I have heard the CBG acting as catalyst. for sure it can't be the THC. Thanks for any advise.

You mean that out of body, light tracers, floating, tripped out, no ceiling buzz that lasts for hours and hours?......plants that have this type of high are not common. I can't tell you which or if any seedbank strains will give you this type of high or how uniform they are but going from the many Thais (and other equatorial landraces) I've grown in the past (from seeds taken from bales and bags of bud that was good ~ excellent), if you grow out 20 or 30 females there should be 4 or 5 that really stand out and out of these standouts, maybe one in 30 will be remembered forever. But genes are just part of it, you need to grow out these plants until they are really fully mature (which usually means harvesting in December, January or February), then stored for several months for best results.

I think that plants grown in the ground and under full tropical sun are best, the plants get big but the best high from a Thai I grew was a mutant grown under fluorescent tubes...and the best high I ever smoked was a Zamal (a landrace from Reunion)..the high from this plant was like being transported back 10,000 years to a African grassland being buck naked with spear in your hand combined with the dreamy floaty effect ala the Tibetan book of the dead (but in a good way)...I could literally fly with this grass. One common thing among the best highs from landrace plants I've grown is they were all harvested a month later than you would think they would of been "ripe" and ready....never harvest an unhybridized landrace sativa early, when in doubt, wait a month! Harvest tripping grass early and you will get an edgy, nervous, caffeine type high from the airy buds, but harvest it when all the leaves have dropped and the airy buds have become hard and you might be remembering the high on that one forever

I'm on about week 19 on an indoor Thai. I know it is not pure, but it is close. It is Gypsy Nirvana Thai x Neville's Haze x Mullumbimby Madness. I grew it with something earlier, and probably messed it up by using too little fertilizer and flushing too much just before harvesting the Oaxacan it was growing with. I used the same nutrient solution for both plants. But it keeps on keeping on. Many of the little foxtails got blanched and are dying, but more interior foxtails keep growing and filling it out. It is putting on more resin than ever and smells like cat piss and lime. I touched a bud to rearrange it, they are falling over from the weight, and my fingers smelled like key lime pie, so sweet and limey.

One day I'll grow a good pure Thai, but I want to show off what I have got so far:

Can you see the green new growth on the inside of the bud? I keep alternating the organic hydroponic nutrient solution with a little more nitrogen, then a little less. Green growth gets stimulated, then fades to yellow green, and the oldest growth spurts are now gold and red. Rainbow bud! I have been growing it under 11.5 light and 12.5 dark cycle. Since it seems to have less amount of fresh pistils, I changed it to 11 light and 12 dark. If one day I find no white pistils, I'll probably go two more weeks before harvest to make sure while doing a final flush to tone down the greenest parts. I'm afraid some of the oldest foxtails will be dead and brown by then, but it will probably be better than harvesting too early.

B.T.W., I was reading the African strain thread, and a guy posted pictures of the Swazi Red Beard that shows about half the foxtails die before it is ripe. Looks a lot like the bud pictured above. He says that is how it gets the red beard. The dead ones cure red. If it doesn't work out, at least I'll know precisely where to dial in the fertilizer level for an experiment that will last another 6 months of my life.


It's all worth it if I one day get that special high again one day. I've been fortunate to have had it a few dozen times before, and I've been chasing it ever since.

Next up is a Jamaican Ganja, then I plan on growing a daughter of one of those Zamals that you are talking about, Zamaldelica from Dubi and Gypsy. I can feel that deep seated introspective power in those. I just need to find the right one for my tastes, with the proper amount of euphoria, energy, and visual focus.

May everyone experience those special plants at least once in their life.

What a great post. I can tell you have surely been there.

I forgot to mention that some really excellent tropical strains also give a cartoonish, technicolor effects with all the colors seeming to be photoshopped with extra saturation levels, especially in bright sunshine...I like this type of high.

Thanks, they may have some similarity indeed! No that was my first time, but i doubt she could finish outdoor here. So really soonish i'll bring her back inside prolly behind my patio door ... i might have to add a 200W cfl in addition.

Besides wouldn't a 1st water rinse put a sleeper on the ultra awake original Thai stick potential. Thai stick was Famous as the clear high so contaminating it seems right off the top an indication of a different source without maybe the 20 feet or more of filtration stems grown in high clear atmosphere over 4,000 feet. It seems to be known that the first water rinse applications occurred later & never did I hear or read that it was said, oh the Thia has gotten so much better. Anyway Thanks; it's just that a neighbor suggested the same a year or two ago so I had lots of time to research it. Yet if you can show me my search was too small I'll be another step closer to the truth.

Here's some more pictures of Lao brick and the other pic with the red string is Thai Thai stick 100% I was told. Elmers right, the Lao brick is the dominant staple for Thai smokers unless they grow their own or have good contacts to get better quality.

Hi buddy, how's life? You're right, this big Thai looks a lot like the BLB Thai (different strain to the super Laos)...the BLB Thai is of the very clear, euphoric type high that really couldn't be nicer, though maybe stronger...

It circulates in Thailand, but mostly comes from East of the Mekong in Laos .

Since the Junta took power there have been regular busts on the Thai bank of the Mekong .
Been reading Thai media most every day for a while now .

Thanks tropicannayeah; A friend told me their Thia grew almost 30 feet with 5 to 6 foot buds(or colas?) & only seeded accidently so what you say re: harvesting reveals much to consider & perhaps even why it's so difficult to find medical Thia like I need since they tend to minimize grow time. Now as far as the high more & more I'm beginning to consider that most folks may not have realized the Thia was enhancing awareness of the earths matrix frequency vibrational field & therefor never considered to focus on it; like passing over a weak analog receiver frequency; as nothing worthwhile verses fine tuning to it & finding an exceptional clear link with the earth fields. I've felt that it was this frequency that Christ used to walk on water & said that we could do likewise. The question is why only Thai stick gave me the matrix pitch awareness to tune to? Nearly every sativa medical strain I've tested so far has given me greater awareness of the wire in my head & none with any matrix awareness that previously made me aware that the normal state without the plant of renown is a nutritional deficiency state of debilitation in all the senses for persons like myself. Yet I know some persons here are with powers & energy like unto the angels in important respects. I'm not ignoring your experiences, just can't relate; only in my dreams that were much better in the matrix days. Later

Looking good guys. Got a swazi red female and gypsy nirvana thai stick fem going nice n healthy/happy. They both have a male thai stick next to them;I swear they are happier when u let 'em f***!. Started flowering at only 8" tall but I suspect they will get much bigger! Growing in 100% organic native tropical rainforest soil, no nutes added.Will post pics in the coming days

You guys have got me worried that my Thai will never mature. The plant is now over 7' and has a million little buds up and down every branch. Sorry for my confusion but when folks say their Thai never finishes would that be like my Thai having clear trichomes in December. Does using nutes like MOAB or other bud enhances help speed things up?
I'm in South OC, Southern California.

I have a thai from Greenhouse that they claim is a pretty pure sativa that will be done in 15 weeks. I am gonna add 2 or 3 more weeks to that estimate. Also it's worth noting that a breeder mentioned to me that the Thais bud usually mature at different times.
