A metal cab...I like it! :)

You know Heph, if you ever wanted to sell that thing down the road, I bet you could get some decent $$ for it from the right buyer...
Yep, I like to work with what I know... Aluminums a bit of a learning experience for me; but a little closer to my normal than wood... I can't do wood... crowns, grains... bah!

LOL - don't suggest that, I've got enough to make 5-6 more of these - and I learned a lot off this one :smokeit: Who wants to start the bidding at 100$ :tumbleweed:

Well getting further along

Xbox fans installed for some air movement... Nice coat of white paint inside...

Ventilation done - 3/4" pvc feeds light area, and passive intake sealed up.

Starting to work on mounting the bits n pieces for the growshield... Having to redo the keypad mount... Dangit - slighly misaligned... It'll drive me nuts...

I love sundays... Productive days :)

Got some wiring done, got some tubs in... Fans were powered up (xbox fans had to be flipped around) - toshiba 2amp 12v wall wart - more to come on that, see if I can scavenge up a terminal strip tomorrow... 5way gang valve mounted; penetrations almost all done (just RDWC feed/drains left)

Yes those are outlets up top - Cut up a nice 10ga extension cord to supply that...

Maybe tomorow we'll have her up and running if all goes well...

Heh - Between you and me, I'm a really good photographer... Good from afar but far from good :joint: Or I'm just OCD... Quite possibly the latter, cuz I've seen my vacation pics... :joint:

Went into operation yesterday (in semi - temporary form). Installed a 2x55w coralife fixture for now (slid right into that 2" space for the lights). Plants in Tubs previously pictured. RDWC & aquaponics plumbed in.

Fan vibrates the front door off.:wallbash: Guess I'll have to put a lock/latch into the mix.

Going to have to upgrade the primary drawthrough fan; air temps are hitting the mid 80s with just the 2 55w in. DWC tubs however are staying 72-73. So perhaps that's ok - but when the 4 bulbs go in... We'll have issues (though I'm wondering about that - as ballasts will be in the utility area; not in flower chamber below - should reduce that heat a bit)

Almost flooded yesterday - roots... RDWC... Drain plugged - caught it just in time...

And it begins :)

And it begins :)

Aquaponics tied in... RDWC right now is running a 20/20 schedule; mostly because thats the minimum on the timer - arduino will let me change that out to 2 on 20 cycles or similar...

Girls take up residence!

Still gotta get proper lighting installed, finish up the monitoring, and utility area... Get that arduino running the works...

Well got things pretty much finished except for the arduino controls...

Lights in - pair of 2700 and pair of 4100s

Plants in and happy:

Will have to upgrade the ventilation - temps running in the 85-88F range when closed up... Leaving the front duct taped about 1" open to keep temps down...

I'm liking it :) Aquaponics is the way for me I'm thinking...

Almost Killed off the other big one last night; decided it wasn't showing pistils yet - had to be male... Luckily I got couchlocked :D Today it was showing pistils! Repotted the smallest of the girls - She was massively rootbound. Had a brick of coco - decided to give that a whirl. Got some random leaves curling down - think I got the nutes a bit too strong, so did a 3-4g water change). pH is holding REALLY nice and steady with the new setup; have only added 1/2ml of vinegar since setup - to hold in the 6.2 range.

Going to have to do something more here about smell - Not sure why but the place is reeking of maple syrup (Dunno if you guys have ever heated maple syrup in a frying pan - but that's the smell - exactly!). Carbon isn't cutting it - my therapure 300 (google it - uv, ionizing + hepa; rather expensive do all filter) isn't making a dent - last grow it kept the skunk smell down to nothing (and it's got a new hepa filter now).

That's looking ace, dude. How do you raise the P for flower? Wouldn't it kill the fishies?

PO4 is one of those common nutrients in a fish tank... I'm boosting by feeding frozen mysis - in juices (usually in the aquarium you try to rinse off the juices to avoid the phosphates).

Since I'm still figuring out the details, finding I need to give things a bit of a boost here and there... So to some extent I've been using other sources... flowering I've been using the occasional dose of shultz cactus & ??? (2-7-7 liquid fert - clearance .97$ at walmart :joint:)

:smokeit: That first cab got plumbed in today - Running 2x25w CFL and a 42w CFL... Mostly for vegetables; well... And some strawberries

Trichs appearing on two of the original plants to sex...

Next generation is looking good - Third gen... Not very happy, didn't like a FIM + repot (coco)... Luckily she showed her sex this week - was about to scrap her as a male...

Don't know about being top notch - more of a good from afar but far from good :joint: Definitely happy with how they've turned out. I'm not a big fan of wood working; especially when water is nearby or humidity is high... Still have a bit of work to go, Noticed a few light leaks on the veg box I'll have to deal with... Using some thinner PVC in the recirc feed - and it's letting a lot of light over into the flower box; and out the bottom where the drain is. Thinking duct tape on the drain (no other good way) and a aluminum shield (painted white) over the Recirc feed... To try to keep it down.

Bright side of the day - noticed the PLL's have radically dropped in temp output; I can close up the front face without temps exceeding 85F now. That's a positive improvement!

Well few new shots for today...

Full system setup; veg & flower cabs side x side...

My first clone to be re-introduced to the system! You'll note it's in Coco - using a wick to help get nutes into the young plant until it's roots drop down into the DWC

More clones coming I hope...

Rest of the Veg Cabinet... Another SWC tub... Yes those are tomatoes; lettuce and those lil green spots are strawberries :) Along with a few more plants/clones on the go...

Full Flower chamber shot...

The big girl... Gotta figure out why the new leaves are suddenly curling down like this...

Root porn... Spread/separated - nearly 2' long...
