Yes reducing your RH is the best bet. But not so much so that your heat rises to unmanagable levels. I would rather have lower rh than high heat.

I will use the wet towels and will mod the fan (is a cpu case fan, not compatible with an AC dimmer) to be thermocontrolled, a fairly easy mod with just a mosfet, NTC resistor and a potentiometer to set the low temp point (See Thermocontrolled FAN mod )

I am unsure what a wettex towel is, i presume some kind of kitchen disposable towel. Perhaps try a small basin hand towel, one that will retain water for longer. Ie, a bath towel could be just great, if you can fit it in, but the smaller the towel the easier to fit, but the quicker the evaporation will be.

Wettex is sponge cloth. Will try a smaller towel.

BTW I noticed I was not watering the coco correctly, previously I watered it just until I saw runoff; but it dried in just a day. The next time I watered it with a fixed water amount, slightly more than the solo cup volume, and noticed that although there was runoff, the coco kept abosorbing water.

I feel stupid, but lesson learnt, when watering is better to feed by volume than by "eye".

thanks for the tips!!

hi all!

yeah :D ALL PLANTS ARE IDENTIFIED BY NAME TAG, when there is more than one the subsequent ones get A, B, C etc atached.. so for example my second time of germing the ssh x ptk is called C2 (because the other keeper was the c pheno lol) and the letters C2A to C2D

mostly its less complicated.. i have coded name tags and i keep written records of the meaning of each :D hehe honestly this is the easy part :D

wow :D cool with people that know about electronics :D

its important to make sure the coco gets well hydrated from start - i especially in the start usew trays with no exit to keep about a finger of nute water mix in the bottom and put the small cups with coco in the trays and so the coco goes sucking up the water and gets properly humid.

dry spots inside the pots are dificult to rehumidify without a soaking in some container. once coco is bone dry - as it can get in airpockets inside the pot - the watering will just flush thru quick without doing much..

i agree on the low RH - if not, having many plants together creat their own microclimate with high humidity and problems related to that..

if not it would be impossible..

peace all! soon its time for todays growroom check :D just gonna smoke up first :D

Holy shit bone..:D..nice selection of plants.....lots of interesting sativas....I have a few of those crosses as well.

It is nice to see peeps still growing the Alibi. I think the selection going into f2,f3,f4 has been excellent and has only increased the potency and resin amount. I need to make room for some more :D

It will be fun to watch your plants produce flowers....

the DIVA G is from testers sent out on overgrow back in 2004. the lovepotion male is very sativa leaning.

diva G is from tuktukseeds

G13 Clone x Californian Sativa
60/40 Indica/Sativa
57 -67 Days Flowering time.
Average Yield.

the cross with Diva G has in test grows come out very sativa leaning with flowering times from 14 to 18 weeks. the buds are very resinous..

those nugs are just a small part of the greenhosue of my friend. he will have a nice year a head.. no doubt it will last past next harvest!

ok ..

been doing statistics on the sexed plants in flower;

2 diva g x love potion - sativa dominant
2 jamaica x uzbekistan - hybrid
2 cheese/trainwreck x PTK - hybrid
3 ssh x ptk - hybrid
2 Alibi f4 - hybrid

2 Beeniemans choise - ?
2 petenera - sativa guatemala - sativa
1 blockberry - indica
1 jamaican - ?
1 ssh x lp - sativa dominant

1 jotake - indica
2 thai/mex x banghi - sativa
2 mangarosa x banghi - sativa
2 verde limon - sativa
1 C pheno bush - hybrid (our keeper ssh/ptk)

sativa - 6 strains, 12 plants
indica - 2 strains, 2 plants
hybrid - 5 strains, 10
unknown origen - 2 strains - 3 plants

all in all sexed;

14 strains, 27 plants

it shows many (maybe half or more!) plants are sativa dominant.. lets see how long its gonna take untill the last of the first bunch is done! and how big they gonna get..

peace!

:D i hope the buzyness will be rewarding lol :D but yeah.. if i get 20 grams from each plant (and i will most likelly double that on some or even more) i should be looking at an interesting harvest. its been years since things looked this promising.

a lot of is thanks to you guys for giving me faith in the lower nute regime. i am stoked allready hehe and i bet i will be even more later.

peace and respect all!

i shuffled around plants today.. in the veg area i moved the vegging females to a better suited area.

also i have started tying down one of the keeper SSH x PTK moms - its allready branchy bushes of about 1 meter tall.. soon i will transplant them - in a few days or so.. and also cut them back a little bit - because i want a bit mroe clones - and like that i can fit them better into the space i have. in the coming months they will have time to multiply in size before flowering..

in the flowering area i moved around plants to get a "stadium" kind of thing going on in the canopy.. just to get the light to penetrate as much as possible - so the taller plants go along the sides/walls and the shorter and newly put in to flower in the middle.

im quite positive one ESCD x OGK is a female.. these girls are so slow growing its amazing! the rest of the un-sexed plants in the HPS room look a lot like they might be females also..

im seriously considering moving the smallest indica dominant females (like the ECSD x OGK) to veg for a month more. i just want both to be well sexed first. with the size they have now - no real harvest could be possible unless it suddenly explodes in growth - its diminute.. but maybe i should just go ahead and flower it anyway - since i got more beans - and maybe i should find out the quality first before spending lots of time and money on vegging a slow growing plant.

im going to take a decision soon..

also interesting in the HPS room is the enormous vitality the ALIBI F4 has - its the tallest of them all - maybe a bit open structure with long internodal distance - but its a strong and re-insuring looking plant.. it looks like it should perform well.

the big ssh x ptk and ct x ptk are getting seriously nice to look at.. just cant wait for the flowering to start properly.

some intersting smells are starting to develop..

also its fun the ssh x ptk keeper i first pretended to flower under fluoros also - it never really started vegging under 24/hps light - butsuddenly it seems a bit more stretched out branches - not much - just a tiny bit.. but the flowering did not stop at all during those weeks - nor did it reveg.. so it just keept producing white hais - now its looking like the nugs are going to get particularly fat. this lady got very many smaller branches cut away before flowering.. maybe its part of it..

the slender beatyfull peteneras are keeping to grow up reaching for the roof.. one is in a 6 liter pot and the other in a pot of maybe 2,5-3 liters. they are pretty much the same in looks and size. maybe the pot size will affect flowering more.. they dont use a lot of water at all surprisingly for their size,

all plants are loving the 20 ml A+B regime..

i should ad at this point i DONT water every day.. most flowerin plants are in 12 liter pots - thats 3 gallons. they dont use up the water that quick - and to get more oxygen in the roots (to prevent root rot - i had issues before) i let the pots dry out a bit..

a few of the THAI /MEX x Banghi doesnt look to good. they got some issues it looks like.. maybe they are in the coco mix the darn cat peed in... i mean they are looking a bit burnt and yellowish.. well - they got time to resolve that during flowering if the THAI traits are active hehe :D

i moved over the last Manga rosa x Banghi to the HPS room. they should like that light a bit more..

i need to find out a way to make bigger info tags that are resistant.. now i cant buy em - gotto save money on something.. also i saw a cool humidity meter and temp meter - analog for 15 euros.. but i cant spend it now :D i got more important spendings ahead..

the Jamaica x Uzbekistan looks VERY sativa-ish for the moment.. lets see if it gets productive!

the DG x LP are slowly going for it..

the SSH x LP allready in flowering is not particularly vigourous at the moment.. but maybe i can find some info and know better what to expect :D

peace..

indeed! gonna be interesting show. Sure takes some job but hope u find a good balance with results. Dont forget to tag well!!!!! :muahaha:

B

bonecarver_OG

hehe i keep name tags well organized :D

but i dont mark the flowering time start. next round i will work out tags that will fit more text - and write the date the plant entered flowering..

anyway i will know if a plant takes longer or shorter time to finish :D but its cool for reference to know more or less the flowering time on the ones im going to work with.

so the next bunch of ssh/ptk x ptk going in - where i will look for a male etc - i will note the date they enter.

if any female is very interesting she will go in for an other round of flowering as soon as she gets revegged and cloned. that time will have the flowering time shorter because of it beeing a clone - and at this stage i think its more important to know the time it takes to finish.

peace all! :D
