alright i got a nice little package from the states

last to make it to my collection are:
(from jim morrison!):
some had gotten crushed by the nasty postal workers but the wast majority are whole and sound

going to spread around a few of them but keep enough to have a good selection to go thru to get a few keeper fems and males to do further work with.

nice!! - i made a while back a test shaking of the PTK and the cascadia males over the SSH x PTK clone i put in with the males i can see clearly there is seeds on the way! those seeds will not get sent to any-one since its not controlled at all - all the females getting seeds in the maleroom PTK, X18xDC, SSHxPTK are a results of a wild shaking - i have deliberatelly been shaking the males over all fems - to get interesting adventure mix for myself! hehe

im going to do a third collection round of pollen right now. i have accumulated now enough for a whole bunch of fun.

collected the pollen - seems im going to get an other occasion later since they havent given up yet.

also there is seeds on the way in the X18xDC and the PTK female. the PTK female has - when i think of it - only recieved PTK pollen - i will grow them out separatly and have some fun with it.

im selecting the first bunch of females to get polinated.

i realize i got to make limitacions. i seriously doubt i will have enough pollen for all crosses i want to make, but if i start now i will find out soon.

thats where all the pollen finished hehe it seemed to me the pollen i had frozen had gotten humid in some way, so i took all the pollen i had including the fresh and used it all, hope something comes out of it

i expect to get a bit more pollen in a week to pollinate a few of the following;

Super-G
Cheese/TW
budular balls
rox
specialmix

Love that pic All of your plants are lookin' great bones! I've had my eye on the SSH x PTK, as ya know, and good to see her get sticky and resinous so early on

the SSH x PTK is awesome, very resinous and one of the more potent weeds i have smoked - but all pleasent no paranoia etc. rather it seems quite a big porcentage of smokers (who arent as heavy consumers as in the coop) just seems to slip into a half-comatose state. im not sure they enjoy it though. it was funny to see anyway! hehe

not all my plants are looking good

latelly the plants right under my light are getting the leaf a bit toasted - but thats because i can not rise the light up any more than it is. u loose some u gain some

i just finished repeating the polination from yesterday - the same plants getting an other load of pollen from same males - just to make sure the pollen will work - i got scetchy the pollen i froze will work - so i just figured to do it again to asure its going to work ok. i feel much more confident using the fresh pollen - since im sure its viable.

also made one more cross - Cascadia x LDS - seems interesting

at the moment i dont think im going to make anymore crosses - it seems enough with the ones i got allready - i prefeer to let the rest of the females get properlly evaluated and later use my faves - i think i made enough wild-cards to play with for a while.

the females i selected are:

Cascadia - a short and very smelly pheno, compact, and very resinous. got dusted with LDS, PTK and Cascadia to make F2

Mozambique - this lady is atleast 2 x more compact and got the double amount of calyx to the other moz. even though this one does not have a lot of resin - i think the outcome should get interesting due to the hybrid factor. (i only dusted it with the IBL PTK)

X18/DC - this girl is very nicelly fruity smelling - a almost chewingummy smell. very nice - short and resinous also

SSH x PTK - well this is our keeper for a while now. nuff said. i dusted it with LDS and an other clone with PTK. should get itneresting both of them. im tempted to take out an other clone and dust it with cascadia. seems interesting also the outcome of that. maybe tomorow - lets see.

DC - got dusted with the PTK pollen to make cripple creek "backwards" hehe since in the original the dad was a DC

well - now id really like to do just one or two polinations more, i really want to use the astrofog and the biggest JD and LDS, and that should be it. the dad i though of using would be PTK on both of them. also im really interested in using the huge budular balls /destroyer female too - but its a very late flowerer and i doubt i will be able to keep the pollen well for too long. i hope the PTK will still be producing more flowers in a weeks time or something.

im trying to decide on if i will use the Cheese/TW, Rox, Super-G, Lovepotion and special mix.

but it seems really at first thought better to save all of the ones i can reveg for that. i rather wait to make more seeds but its so dificult to stop polinating now when i started hehe

the females i got left that im interested in using and the fathers i think might give an interesting outcome.

I didn't know you could use different strain males to pollinate....I thought folks took a specific male and just let him do his thing....you got a gangbang goin' on in that growroom

u can keep and use all males u want

geneaology tells us the potenciallity of a fathers future daugthers can not be seen in the father - so the more dads u have the more fun.

i have kept 3 different males: Cascadia, PTK and LDS.

in the controlled polinations:
the females that get dusted with multiple males get separate branches polinated - one branch per male. this way obviously all is controlled etc. i can imagine more or less what will come out.



in the wild bunch:
females get polinated with 2-3 different males. - it only means there will be even more variation in the seeds - its basicly my own adventure mix. the fun part is to plant them and find out wich is what if i can not that it is necesary - these seeds coming out of this will each and everyone be a lottery.

but since i know all males - and i have selected them out of 130 plants - because they have some caracteristics i found interesting.

the females in the wild bunch: PTK F1, SSH x PTK, X18 x DC - all of them are well seeded and will most likelly give me a deacent amount of seeds to play with.

the wild bunch is for my own private use only (including all the coop of course) and i did it for fun.

Yea you guys are definitely working with good genetics....I saw some great stuff on Raco's thread I'd love to run that SSH x PTK....I've wanted SSH for a while now, now that I think about it.....lol....

Thanks for sharing your breeding insights.....it's a new hobby I plan to undertake...for the same reasons you've disclosed...for fun I see what you mean , multiple males, phenotypes/genotypes producing some interesting results....
