ive been thinking today about what really to do with the pollen from the PTK i collected the other day.
i got to the conclusion i will only polinate the females i allready know and like. besides the obvious xtra ones.
how ever i got to freeze the PTK pollen - since there is no way i think its time yet to polinate - i just want to make sure the buds are bigger untill i do it.
also found some good info in an article that makes me now regret to have cut the both X18 x DC males that got female hairs later on.... well u learn something new every day

ok now i got:
the males:
PTK - fairly fluffy - flowering very early. smell is not interesting at all. very light lemony.
Cascadia - big floral clusters - strong skunky/rotten-sweet-fruit smell. fairly late flowering. hasnt opened the bananas yet.
LDS - very late to start flowering - it has just started developing the clusters. cant really have an opinion of it yet
from these 3 the cascadia male - looks like the best contestant, smells the strongest, and has biggest floral clusters.
now i dont think im going to throw away the other males - i will just use them much less.
the whole point with this "excersize" is to get the hang a bit of breeding - now since im a coplete noob to breeding - i have done lots of reading up - and all i can say is the cascadia seems to be the winner of the males.
so the PTK will get frozen untill the females are ready - if it keeps flowering ill use fresh pollen - but i will not take this one too seriously - because - i see it a bit desperate maybe to take the first (and only) PTK male i get and use it for back crossing the SSH x PTK - now something good can definetly come out of it - but since i dint have a selection - it seems not a good idea to use it too much. cant take it seriously, if u know what i mean.
now on the other hand with the cascadias - i did go thru a lot of them - so the male i kept is the most interesting really of all of the males cascadias..
the LDS i also got a couple of them planted - and since i had a few males - and i went for the shortest most stubby male (thick hollow stem) wich seemed nicelly DC influenced - i think this one also is really interesting.
so the plan is to use the PTK male to polinate:
SSH x PTK
Astrofog
(and thats it - maybe also dust the mozambique (for experiment) )
the Cascadia is ready in about a weeks time i think something nice is going to come out of that, no doubt - i cant wait to taste the SSH/PTK x cascadia - this 2 really smelly babies should make an authentic stinkbomb - lets see

need to sort out a place for the females to keep them while the pollen is doing their job fecundating them.. not very easy at all.. im definetly running out of space. well - im going to look for a corner where i can keep them.. - not easy - got a lot of work now - and to have all this in my head is getting messy hehe

some non cannabis photos from todays sundaywalk - if u like em ill post more.
all pics taken with digital SLR full manual. some got cut etc. but not much more - didnt even feel like using filters or anything besides the UV. the color is the natural as is.
still waiting to get my macro tubes.. a few weeks more it seems maybe..

i like flowers.. hehe above are cactus flowers from ym gf's collection of cactie and some pot from our tias garden
the ant was a willing model - and didnt get harmed in anyway.
the yellow - red flower IS real !

hey GAIUSMARIUS - hehe she is actually gotten to become an active part of the grow - she has taken on to like the misting of the clones and to watch them grow so its all good but she cant wait untill we move and she feel safer - she allready given me hands free for the 100m2 of basement we got hehe but ill use a fration only - i promise hehe

i pretty much solved the mold situacion on the walls by washing them down with bleach. looks and smells "clean" around the grow room.
ill do it again every week. floor and walls where its humid gets scrubbed with bleach - end of source of infection. also under the trays etc.

all is well working a LOT.
- also took clones today - 20 astrofog and 10 SSH x PTK,
- collected pollen from the males - but the lds didnt give much since it yet hasnt started to open most stigmas.
- watered all plants - started to lower the nute dose and put up the PK a notch again.
i can soon start to make some polinations - i got sorted out a temporary space for them while they get fecundated
all plants are budding along besides the slowest ones - for example the budular balls x destroyer is allready touching the roof - but its not stopped stretching hehe
lets see how crowded it gets in there hehe - as soon as the earliest ones are ready to harvest there will be more space for the ones finishing later peace all!!

just gotto specify a bit about the bleach scrubbing - its the walls and floor outside - and underneath the trays - its a space where the bleach in no way can affect the plants. the reservoirs etc have lids so nothing will get inside.

now the most dificult part will be to keep track of what is where - the rediculously easy solucion is to use different coloured strings and make a knot on the branches. the colours i have choosen is:
