after chatting to the coop partner, i feel like planting a few seeds
the fact is im going to have a lot of empty space while the next bunch of clones have been taken and are rooting, and the moms have gone to flowering.. i got rigth now a few square metters of empty space
ill think about it for a while... to decide what strains etc
doobie nah man i decided finally to let them go a little bit more i got the flu and lots of work so i dont get energy over to trim hehe
please show us some pics mate! hehe you know i was checking out sunflower seeds today for the next years guerilla hehe i might do a patch like your daffodils but with 4 feet high sunflowers gotto decide but lots of time left!
hehe a little moment ago, the guys that get the clones from me for their outdoors, asked for a BUNCH of clones of our SSH/PTK cut.. i said no hehe and for the moment im saying the reason is because we are missing the flavour and we will flower all cuts ourself.
later some day, for example next time they ask, i will explain a bit more maybe. just gotto be very politically correct since we are talking about partially familly and friends of theirs and i dont want to create tension...
feels odd to say no to sure money in times like this... atm moment im between projects pretty much and i would have needed the dosh. but out of principles i say NO.
today i had a new look on the ssh/ptk x SSH/lp that i got flowering, and its definetly bulking up quickly. at the same time as im VERY temped to let her flower to just see how she will get when done, im forced to reveg it very soon to make sure i will stay with the cut. for further work.
i will let the selected males continue flowering, while i wait for the ones at my coop partners place to get sexed. hopefully they are going to get sexed soon enouogh and get going flowering too hopefully in time for a nice polination.
i have been thinking hard about the meaothai/ptk cross to see what to do really with that, and i think i have decided to polinate one or more females with several males to get more variety in the offspring for having more selection material for the next round.
i didnt have time to cut down any plants today i dont mind letting them go for a little longer
i still havent decided 100% on what seeds to plant this time too much to choose from
harvested a few plants today and spread out the remaining in flowering as i could specially the snowdawg is looking quite tasty even though she went thru some heat and all thru the last months of summer next up will be one ssh/ptk followed later by 2 more. all of them of good sized, but still there is weeks left before all of them are done.
after that lets see... i bet soon enough also some of the seedlings will get done enough for evaluating a reveg
stoked with new flavours to try when it comes time !
its dificult to say how much rain we get here during september-october. it varies year to year. but the thing is, when it does rain, it rains like there is no tomorow, and we can get 100's of liters in jsut a few minutes.
its common that people DIE every year, because the rains come so quick, people that are for example walking along ditches and rivers, might just get swept away.
sometimes the currents are so strong they sweep away vehicles etc with the mud, to distance of several miles, most of the time it takes long time to recuperate the bodies of disapeared people in those conditions.
jsut a couple weeks ago a woman and a baby i think i remember, died when swept by a flood, just a few minutes by car from where i live.
exactly where i live, floodings are quite rare, since its a big valley twich used to get flooded 1000's of years ago, similar to the nile basin. but the arabic when they came, made a great job digging ditches and canals.
more history?
but in the end this is a region that has been far more humid in the past, so green and lush, the arabic travellers 1000's of years ago said if someone claimed this is the origin of the biblical eden, they would NOT disagree. the arabic claims in different old writings and books, this region was so fertile, that if one seed was thrown to the ground, seven plants would arise they also made comparisons of this region, to the nile delta and the fertile plains there around.
got woken up today by a tremendous storm with lightning and thunder and fortunatelly RAIN in masses. maybe we got around 100L per m2 - everything is lightly flooded around here. if we get more rains there will be trouble for people around here.
anyway i filled up all the reserves of rainwater again.
if this winter continues like this its going to be a blast! its a dream to be able to use 0,3 EC water, and the plants that normally tunr out very nice indeed, now are getting maybe even better if i can say that
soon enough there will be some new PICs
the seedlings are all getting going properly flowering some are very resinous from the start. specially interesting seems the JAGGEN x ssh/ptk/ptk, that is producing a big amount of stalked trichomes on the pecioles allready. its just starting to produce white hairs, and its quite early to get resinous. this might be a nice smoke - gonna keep my eyes on her also an other of same cross, has about 2-3cm long hairs in the flowers, and its quickly filling up the tips with more hairs, but this far not too resinous.
today it suddenly occured to me... since the outcome of the SSH/PTK x SSH/LP is looking so good, im going to take one of the males that is a bit taller of this cross, and cross it again to my SSH/PTK keeper. im going to store some of same pollen to polinate later the female of SSH/PTK x SSH/LP also. later more good males and females might turn out and we might use even more of them for variety.
i jsut put in one smal clone of SSH/PTK to flower, to get something to polinate ASAP. the male is flowering nicelly and im sure he will continue for a while more before beeing done, there should be time to polinate the first bundles of hairs on the SSH/PTK clone just put in.
also soon its time to polinate the MEAOTHAI x PTK for making the second generation.
there is still left one jaggen / SSH/PTK/PTK and one Amnesia Haze / SSH/PTK/PTK to flower at my place
then after that i will flower the beeniemans i got vegged
its a shame with the spider mites, but at my place they seem to keep out of the nugs, so picking away the leaf solves it
ssh / lp has to be reveged very soon - i noticed going thru the pics, there is a few brown hairs allready,. i dont know at all how long flowering it could be, so i want to make sure the reveg is succesfull
my flowering area is more or less dominated by tall stretchy hybrids right now the jaggen x ssh/ptk/ptk is looking interesting also the amnesia haze x ssh/ptk/ptk look like they are a new thing alltogether and 3 of 5 are almost identical this far. one is not topped and a bit taller but seems to be of the first pheno also, the last one is a big leafed very tall funny looking thing, that has nothing to do with the first lot.
the Karmatrain f2 of CLONEMAN is looking nice.. its in a shaded spot but there is not that much space left anymore, so that will do for now.. soon i will harvest some plants and shuffle the whole lot around again.
the meaothai/ptks have 2 of a tall very sat dom pheno. and one that is a lot more compact, and has a whole lot more bud sites than the 2 earlier mentioned, although she went in last of the bunch.
i have to make space, and take time to transplant the last ah x ssh/ptk/ptk and jaggen x ssh/ptk/ptk, and put them to flower as soon as possible. the beeniemans choise will go vegging untill there is more space. i transplanted all of them today. there seems to be a chance of 1 male and maybe the rest of them is females. atleast atm its looking so..
i transplanted 2 Blockberry clones to become moms for a while
also i think one of the amnesia hazes moms actually seems to have survived, and might actually perk up again. i will transplant it as soon as possible to see if it gets going...
snowdawg is also sorted for the future and ready to get cloned, but the SSD looks like it might not make it in the end lets see later
