No scientist, this is what you said...

"Yea, you can water every 6 hours and still use less water. Dont apply till its dry. As a matter of fact the less water you give them the more often you have to water them. From what ive read so far your idea of a good watering schedule is flooding the piss out of a plant every day and depriving the roots of oxygen."

You were talking about the benifits of never watering to runoff. Bullshit then, bullshit now...

Peace

Dude you friggin-diggin now. My whole point was clearly this WATER LESS OFTEN AND YOU GET MORE AIR TO THE ROOTS. Um yea so kiss my ring already.

Water less volume not less often thats what i mean. Keep the coco lighter. The only time you want runoff is if your flushing, even then runoff isnt neccesary. The coco wil spread the moisture pretty well. If I were to water my plants till runoff It would be 3 days before i watered them again. And thats with 5+ ft plants in 2 gallon bags.

You said what??

I find this part particulary interesting:

how can you flush without runoff ??????

i agree with more times but smaler amounts of water, keeps the coco nice and airy, i never feed with runoff.

when i flush i flush the amount of water tru the pot depending on it's size, 10L pot gets 10 l of water with a low ph +- 5.6 but lowerd with Citric acid cause it breaks down the remaining sals and stuff that's left in the medium.

Alright....just read this thread. . . . .I must admit. . .non biased opinon.... The

Scientist was right. Although, I do feel maybe the wording could've been

better Scientist, but for the jist of it, he was right. Give the man his

props.....he took the flamin well, and remained mature about it. Better than

most would've.

So Scientist +rep to ya for stickin to your guns. . . . .Always good to learn

something new here at ICmag

coco has more than enough oxygen present whether its wet or dry. That trumps your theory that by letting it dry out your allowing more air to get to the roots.

Yeah your grow looks OK, looks like you have alot of fans dying, I hope you are flushing them for the harvest?.. but even so, all that shows is how adaptable of a medium coco really is.

For best results water daily. I use half a liter for 1 gallon pots. Coco also does great in drip systems getting multiple feedings a day. I feed my top drip coco 3 times a day durning lights on for 5 minutes a watering. Works great for me, and so far haven't had any problems with salt buildup even though I have not flushed them AND I am using chemical nutes.

but I guess if I were to stop feeding them 3 times a day and start letting the medium get dry before watering my plants would be greener, and my buds would be fatter and frostier... right scientist....that what your saying...right?
