Yeah, man - I hear you. The neighbour is one thing, the Mrs. is quite another.

I've been really good to this woman - never raised a hand to her, never TOLD her to do anything in 30+ years, always paid my bills, never been arrested. Our vacation in Jamaica was because I wanted her to be treated like a queen. I've actively parented our kids, set a good example. Not growing because she's against it, not buying much because we don't have a lot of $. Never dissed her family or her friends, never told her to stop wasting her time & our $ on her church.

I'm disgusted with her & more with myself.

Sounds like you need to get out of an even shittier situation.
I've always said that kids are not a good excuse for staying in a bad relationship & tell others the same. Your children can feel any animosity their parents hold for each other no matter how well you ACT in their presence.

Thanks for kind words - part of why this neighbour thing hits so hard is that I really try to be good person. I lend a hand, always smile and say Hi - I'm not that guy on the street who everybody hates because he's a dick 24/7.

Lack of respect for me & my property has me pissed - the Mrs holding my leash so I can't act has hurt me quite a bit.

If you are that worked up about the wife, then TALK TO HER AGAIN. Tell her exactly what you said in the post where you explained how much you have done for her over the years. Tell her, that this is one time you would appreciate some back up, and figure out as a couple the best plan of attack.

One thing is for sure, if you do nothing, it will get worse. Grow some balls, get the wife on your side, and make things happen.

OT. I respect your feelings on the matter and that you respect your wife enough to listen to her view on the situation, nothing wrong with that . She may be right about leaving it alone for a bit. You have shaken the tree ,now waiting to see what falls out may not be a bad course of action. I have always said if it were not for my wife's calming influences (and good weed of.course)I would be sitting in prison somewhere now .. so even though it is not the way you wanted to go now ,in hindsight, it may work out ... But if I saw any vermin around the pile I would be pointing it out to her LOL... May change her viewpoint on the matter.
