As I have said no one can ever concretely say what Bubba smells like. If u read enough about Bubba you will find many people describe it differently also many people get confused over pre98 and katsu. Katsu is more often described as coffee. Pre98 has elements of coffee but it is not like opening a fresh bag of coffee beans. I know I have ore 98 becuz mine came with another extremely rare cut. The cut I got it with only a handfull of people have so why would someone that had that be passing around a fake bubba. Also I have grown bubs many times I've seen it grown mediocre I've seen it grown perfect. I know without a doubt Bubba can look wildly different yours does not even look right if I was judging on medicority. I've read all there is to read about bubs so much so without a doubt I know mine is legit.

hey whatever, I have no reason to doubt the guy who gave me mine is legit either, he has many other legit cuts too. I've read all the threads about bubba on this forum and some threads on other sites. most people say it smells like coffee chocolate and gas lemon, mostly coffee. they also say it vegges slow as hell and yields shitty. vegged the first one 3 months, the second one 2 months. first one looks to be yielding just under an oz including all the larf. second one, is only on week 4 or 5. hopefully yields better. but like I said came from a legit guy and meets all the characteristics I've heard about. only thing I see different is most people have stretching and lots of space between nodes. but I attribute that to i'm using mh to flower and I vegged under 12/1 cycle which made them preflower. that's why the 1 and 3 finger leaves.

I got no reason to doubt mine, I don't even doubt yours. this furniture smell you speak of is what I get from my plants that I push too hard. maybe try cutting back on your nutes a little next round? see if the smell comes out more.

Dried buds are the tell tale sign, dried pre 98 buds should have a white resin coating with little tufts of orange hair. I see buds just in the last few pages are 100% bubba. I'd say the thick orange red hairs are a good qualifier. Ckayill's dried buds are text book bubba, and noyd666's pictures are a perfect example of what pre98 looks like in veg.

if it help this is a picture of a clone i'm vegging. i was on the 12/1 schedule but that caused this plant to start flowering so I switched back to 18/6. that's why the plant I showed you before has 1 and 3 finger leaves. been about 4 weeks since it rooted and it's about 4 inches tall.

hiding in the haze. what's your average yield on bubba?

I dont really weigh or pay attention to per plant yields. With bubba it really all depends on how long you veg it. It needs a very long veg to grow tall and have any branching what so ever.

I find when I aim for lower yields the quality increases, if I push it harder and shoot for higher yields the quality diminishes slightly. It's not poor quality by any means but its not the best bubba I can produce. The best quality bubba I have ever produced was grown on the edge of the light and produced less, frosty as hell though.

PBH's is not real bubba I can tell just by how long and thin the lateral branches are compared to the over all size of the plant. Bubbas lateral branches grow very slow and are very thick.

so what your saying is you don't know what it yields?

No. I generally only determine a good yielder vs a poor yielder with how many half gallon jars it fills.

I will say I have some large yielding bubba that was probably well over 6 oz's but it took a years worth of veg, it was LST'd and topped probably 100 times and was flowered under 1k.

Over all it is a decent yielder, buds are very dense and resinous but its not generally a large yielding plant unless you have put in some serious veg time.

It's not horrible like GSC but it wont break any records either.

It grows like a snail you pretty much have to have it the size you want it to finish in veg because it barely stretches at all when put into flower.

what's your bubba taste like?

Hard to explain really its not a flavor you can be like 'it tastes like banana's"

It's got elements of lots of stuff, from hashy bubble gummy to old antique shop smell it basically tastes like it smells.

Taste is such a hard thing to ask anyways, when someone asks about taste are they referring to the burning product, or like a unlit hit on a joint.

The two most noticeable characteristics of bubba should be the mouth coating flavor, and smell after its smoked. Both of these are hard to describe, but the smell when burnt, is better than the flowers growing or fresh, it's hazey/frankincense ish.

I agree, I liken it to walking into an antique shop full of old wood furniture, it's a light smell that fills the whole room, that sweetly musty smell incensey smell.

We are currently running some "regular" Bubba Kush F2 plants from the seedline Katsu Bluebird did with some Bubba pollen he received after he got the green Bubba cut off GreenCrackMan for $500... there are 4-5 beautiful males and 9 sturdy females so far.

Looking forward to find our very own particular Bubba keepers and make some seeds too in a similar way Huesos did with his Peyote Purple line. I'm looking for different traits other than the classic coffee/earthy terpenes, so hopefully we'll find some interesting medicinal plants.
