After I thought about it, I got mince from a guy with a serious rep in the cali game about 8 years ago now and I asked him and he got it 11 years prior to that

the thing was.. i got the pre98 bubba. in horrible shape.. i had to get her back to health.. and now.. shes great. does great things..

i made a few bxs with pre98 bubba x afghani.. x pre98 bubba x afghani..

and im going to hit the pre98 bubba with a male from that bx..

because.. i keep finding more vigorous but very pre98 bubba phenos... and that was my only complaint.. toooooooooooo SLOW to VEG..

like i had clones of p98 and gg4.. same time . the p98 is like 20 inches.. while the gg4 is like 35-40..

and the pre98 has like almost 0 stretch.. hit 12/12 and it just buds.. u get what u see.

Fuck! There's one last option that this cut may be. This could possibly by Kyle Kushmans cut PK that he said blows the Bubba away. That's the last thing that I could hope for now. This cut went through 2 people's hands to get to me. The first guys hands got the Illuminati from KK's people so it may be possible that this also came from those people as well. I'll know in a couple weeks when I meet with them. Thanks for the help! I know I don't have Pre98 now.

Still under impression here that Moss Cutty pased out S1's of pRE98-BK with a possible cut from Cali being used as the Blueprint for sales heheh.

I have seen a few Bubba Kuts from that offering back then but they were all effected by growers and environments in the long haul like most clone only types. Tarzan has one of the many passed out but he was told not to share it ? It is just another S1 though and a spindly one but hey Tarzan loves his Bubba heheh and all is well


I have one possible Pre98 off base from the rest in Mi and I have one that looks like yours as well lol ..The one shown below is said to be a BK but it came with the name Bertha Kush as the lies and smoke around this all here in state really put a spin on Pre98 and its infinite copy cat and selfed versions.

Either way I like this Kush cut more then the Pre 98 I got from Moss, but that one was ok too, but just did not yield out like this one from Wolverine Underground Growers Associations collection..

Here is the Bertha Kush I suspect to be a Pre98 S1 Not that it matters. I find the whole clone only thing to be a waste of my time and effort. They are all overrated and each has its own negative attributes. I preffer at this point not to settle on others picks and cuts. They never fit in here regardless due to my methods and environment being unique ...

Here is a 100% original Pre 98 bubba cut I had back in 2004-06 gifted from an old OG member. I ran it inside and out with great results. Had some crap go down and lost it along with a ECSD cut as well. The two that got away if ya will.

has anyone had the chance to see/smoke/or grow a strain called Bubba's Fire (Bubba Kush x Fire Lady)?

I have one that is about 3 weeks in to flower in a hoop house outside... her leaves are big and fat and her preflowers are beginning to form trichomes and purple up a bit.

I'm hoping for a dense, purple, lemon, coffee type flower that is gooey with kush grease!

if it was a bubblegum cross, the S1s would segregate and we would get bubblegum phenos - which is not the case.

the pre-98 S1s all come up very similar to each other and to the cut. (the only additional smell i detected in one plant was the 'cheese' terpene (which is supposed to be an afghan trait)
this, and the lack of vigor of bubba, all points to it being an inbred line imo.

im not sure you would get bbg phenos. an s1 would only be able to contain a mix of the genes that the parent has, both dominant and recessive. the bubba could be a bbg cross buy yet have not bbg traits in its genes. in which case you would never see a bbg pheno. most s1 are similar to the parent or a slight variation.

hi sifted, as i understand it, an S1 would show the same segregation of traits/genetics as an F2 (but it's being crossed with itself rather than a Sibling), so if the bubba cut was a hybrid you could expect to plants that resemble both of its original parents.
obviously if the cut was more of an inbred line then the variation would be much less.

that said, if the pre-98 and the katsu are different phenos of the same genotype, there is a fair bit of variation right there just from looking at the two of them, never smoked the straight katsu myself, more's the pity!

took her down @ 56 days. didn't turn purple for me or get striped leaves. i'll try running it longer next time and doing a longer flush. I got another one in there around 28 days, i'll take it 70 and start flushing at 56.

I'm sure it's legit. when I walked into my closet the other day I expected to see this guy in there for a second. the leaves only have 3 fingers on most because I veg 12/1

I don't know I've been growing Bubba for 5 years it doesn't really look right. I also don't get the coffee smell like everyone says. When ppl say coffee it's just likening it to it I'm the smell cannot be locked down as any one thing. I grow some of the best Bubba I've ever seen I know a thing or 2 about the bubs. The leaf stems look too long

if everyone is getting coffee and you aren't...what makes you think you have the right one and we don't?
fwiw mine grows exactly like what ckayill posted when you top it. barely 25% stretch and thick sturdy stems. each branch weighed an oz wet and leaned hard but didn't come close to breaking. I didn't even need that stupid stake I had in the pot.

I stripped her the day I flipped and again at like 25 some odd days. the leaves aren't gonna look like your because of how I grow. notice all of our pics show alternating nodes whereas your pics show 2 buds per node.
