prayers for buckeye-leaf

I have been really depressed lately thinking of him, he was my best friend and mentor! I cry so much sometimes I get sick and have to lay down. I have dreams of talking to him and when I wake up I hurt so bad. He would want me to be strong but I can't it's too hard! He was like a father to me and now all I can do is go to his grave or pray. Seems like I'm in a bad dream. Much love ICMag for getting to know him and thanks for putting your arms around me!

Thank you Trichy much love ma'am! I went to his grave this morning to put some new flowers and an angel statue, and there was a man and woman holding each other crying that I have never met. Turned out they were homeless at one time and he let them stay here gave them money for food and to help their children. And now they both have jobs and a house. He could always see good in people and know when to help. I remember when he was going threw chemo and would ask me to hold him up so he could go see the garden, I did it with a passion. His kitty will go into his bedroom and meow alot he loved animals so much! If you have a moment listen to Dust In The Wind and say a prayer for my beloved uncle Buckeye! I know he will watch over us from heaven and make sure we are ok.

there are not as many good people in this world as there should be,,

but the good ones like buckeye's possitive actions reverberate through time and in the people whose lives they continue to light up in memories,,

Man this sucks, I just found out about this right now, I spent many a day and night chatting with Bucky in the chat room back in the day. I remember we would talk quite a bit about fishing and sports.

Hey Nephew, Uncle Buckeye would be real proud of you, thanks for letting us know everything and anytime you need people to talk to you know where to find us. Try not to be depressed there's nothing you can do about it, you'll always miss him, try to do things that you know would make him proud and you'll live a very good life.

You all are so nice I know why he loved you so much! It makes me proud that I have his genes. He was definitely a different breed of a person he took it after grandpa. The vegetable garden is doing great I pick lots of cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet corn, peppers, watermelon he had a greenthumb. I remember when I was maybe 10 I walked into his bedroom and in his closet I seen a light glowing and went in there, maybe 5 plants and the tops were about big as my arm. He was a really great man every breath I take I miss him! Much love ICMag!

Geez, this is the first I saw of this. I'm so sorry to hear that cancer has taken you away from your family, here and there. RIP buckeye. You are in my thoughts brother.

Welcome to ICMag BornToBeWild. Glad to have you here. I wish it wasn't under these circumstances. Your uncle was a great soul and will be dearly missed.

Trichy the vegetable garden is going great, Hammer I know he is thinking of you and all his friends here as well. On Aug. 23rd he has been gone for 2 months and I was getting really emotional could barely type my hands shook so bad. Him and his buddies planned a trip that he had already paid for so I got to go with them, an island in North Carolina. Brought back some very great memories, when I lived in Florida as a child he would hold me in his arms and take me out into the ocean. Each day goes by it still feels like a bad dream you all knew him the way he could make you laugh, smile or just talk to you if you were sad. Has been a tuff summer for IC I noticed Elemental passed as well, 2 guys that definitely had so much more time left. Good thing is we will have their memories with us a stories to share! Much love IC!

This morning has been a tuff one for me. College football is here and I remember the Saturdays unc would wake up bright and early and make a breakfast fit for a king! I can close my eyes and almost smell the biscuits and gravy he would make, him already showered and dressed by the time most are just rolling out of bed. His friends here have rallied around me and I'm so grateful and honored to have your support in these hard times I know he is smiling! He changed my life as he did many others and it hurts that I don't get to see and talk to him each day. As each day passes the things he said and how he lived will always make me think twice when I do something, I miss you unc Buck I love you!

I hope that when my time comes I will have left an impression on someone like Buck has with his nephew.

QFT - I never knew Buck, but as a long time lurker (not my first handle) I got a tiny sense of who he was...and just like everyone else is saying - he seemed kindhearted and genuine. You're a lucky man to have been mentored by such a good person :tiphat:
