Potty Time! Bathroom to Growroom

Thought about that. only problem is, using that shower to grow, it's an either/or thing. Can't get to the shower and use the rest of the room. So I'd be trading 6 buckets for at most 3 if I went into the shower, and lose about 3 feet vertical space, and waste all the floor space.

hmm idont quite get what your describing but i know if there is a space there it can be usd without depleting from the main grow, its gotta be able to be done. can you cut an access hole in thr other shower wall? can you rip the shower out? is it tile or a one peice fiberglass thing.

I was afraid I wasn't explaining it well. Hopefully this pic will help.
The shower is a one peice stall type insert. In order to make use of that area, I'd have to rip out the entire stall assembly and the wall containing the plumbing for the shower. That's too much renovation, and would cost me the veg/clone Linen area.

Everythings getting taken down. Outta the blue the landlord decides to give us 30 days notice he's terminating our lease.

I feel yah man, I just got "that notice" as well.... glad it happened when I was just starting to get the bigger room going...ARGH.
Im sketched, I might have to go to an APARTMENT... ugh.... I guess a couple REALLY stealthy cabinets would be OK in an apartment?? Shit, it sucks for sure.
Either that or I gotta get a roomate, and ugh...who wants a roomie, especially with a grow?
Ima legit medical patient but I still get paranoid of the DEA LOL...

Wow total buzz kill, I was all ready with my advice for the shower and everything. You now have some good experience, and will be able to use to make the next grow room a little better. This way you will know better ways to do things, still amazes me how you can do something one way so many times.......and then you learn a shortcut or something
Ohh yah, you shoulda done recirc dwc and flowered throughout the entire bathroom/shower. Used the closet for mom's and clones....and pregrow if room.

Actually, recirc is exactly what I had planned. You'll notice the white 5 gallon buckets are elevated in relation to the black and yellow tuffbox, which would be the res. This picture also shows the problem with using the shower.
This pic shows the layout of my current room in the new place. Larger area, and I'm planning on using a recirc DWC in this room as well. Currently, there are only soil 'Canaries' (bagseed straight to 12/12) in there right now, to test the room for any unexpected problems (which have reared thier heads, I'm afraid, in the form of low RH), and to make use of the room while I plumb the recirc buckets.

very cool idea, i like your workmanship. such a pity you couldn't finish up. it was gona be a real stealth setup eh? tell me what was the problem with venting to the sewer?

Hey Gaius! Wow, been a while since I thought about this thread, caught me off guard to see this with a reply
The problem with venting to the sewer in this application was that the bathroom was put in as an afterthought with this addition, and was improperly plumbed. This resulted in the vented air being diverted to the vent pipes, rather than into the sewer.
And yeah, my current grow is doing much better. much more space to work with, and an additional light. You can check out the new room layout in the
