Roors are nice but overpriced.

Zob's are legit, one of my best friends has known the owners for years and blew glass with them. Yes it's true about the name and what it means, and no they don't give a fuck.

the roors are prone to break were they blew out for the female piece. not as good quality for the price. the european ones are made alot better but the us ones are kinda poo poo

short of starting one of these arguments again, i have to disagree with you. Illadelph is barely comparable to RooR.us and Ehle, and certainly falls far short of competing with RooR.de, Toro, SG, or any of the companies mentioned earlier as high quality glass. the main reason for this is simply the quality of the material; Illadelph has been known to use cheap chinese borosilicate, as opposed to the much purer Schott's used in RooR.de, Toro, etc. also, Illa's quality control is, frankly, a joke compared to higher end companies, and often results in badly annealed or otherwise flawed tubes hitting shops. for $300, i'd just buy a US Tubes 9mm beaker and not have to worry about cracking under temperature stress or janky, thin joints

what are you talking about man??? barely comparable to roor.us and EHLE?? I think just that statement should discredit your argument completely.

dumb. I rock a 9mm blue label illy with splash guard AC and its boss. I could kill someone with it then finish the bowl. I also have a illy 14mm short tube with inline AC and its solid as well. no flaws i can see and i inspect it well.

Of course it doesnt compare to some SG's or Toros, but those are 1000 dollar pieces compared to 350

Roor.de has great custom pieces, but i would hardly say their regular glass is sooooo much better than Illadelph. I would argue that Illadelphs customs and glycerin coils are better than any ROOR. DE.

Illadelph's glass blowers are all certified scientific glass blowers btw so its hardly pushing shoddy work. You should quit being so biased when informing others about good glass you could learn a bit it seems

EDIT: yeah and like someone else said. ROOR.US doesnt even exist anymore. They have shitty joints too

Here's my authentic Chong color changing glass water bong...about 15 inches tall. I bought this bong from the Chong website a few mounths before it was busted/shut down. I rarely use this bong but like it

i've been through this argument more times than you can even imagine, so i've been through this information over and over and nothing i've said has any bias attached to it at all. overall quality of a bong comes down to three things; quality of materials, factory standards, and performance. as i've stated before, Illadelph uses inferior materials like cheap chinese boro, so that's one down. it is fairly commonplace for a buyer to walk into a shop and find an Illadelph with significant flaws, not because the skill of the artists is comparably lower, but because the factory's standards for quality control are lower. a tube that would just be ground up and remade in higher end shops have a better chance of hitting the market coming out of Illadelph. there's your second. third, having used quite a few of the brands being discussed, including both RooR brands at various price points, Illadelph beakers and glycerin coils, and three different sizes of Ehle, i'll tell you that in general, Illa's tubes are slower to fill and clear, even with Ehle and .de diffusers. i've been able to pick out a few Illadelph beakers over the years that actually had the joint placed correctly and surprised me, but they were few and far in between.
as far as your assessment that RooRs are overpriced goes, i can't understand how you can say that and then put forth Illadelph's glycerin coils and custom work. their $600 chinese coils come on a paper thin male joint that not only shatters easily, but locks up even easier. not only do the coils constrict airfow and lead to drag in the beaker, but who wants a $600 bong that doesn't perform well and has been known to break easily?the only glycerin coils worth looking at are the collab tubes Illa does with Salt and Zach Puchowitz, but those are priced upwards of $2000. RooR tubes may be priced at the higher end of the market, but rarely do their prices reflect anything other than the quality of the work.
finally, RooR.us still exists, they are simply being produced by a different shop, to the same standards as the old ones. they still use the same ground glass joints, which are, again, made out of better materials and have a much higher standard for quality than Illadelph.

Haha ok man whatever you say...it's pointless to argue cause your not going to think differently..

If you wanna think illys are shit cool..I'm just telling you from experience and use. My illy clears better than any roor I've hit and it's 9mm thick with reinforced joints. Hardly shitty

Ah the Illadelph ashcatcher. Worst drag ever, aside from a PHx. I don't know about others, but sucking on a bong shouldn't stress the lungs. It should be a simple way to inhale massive amounts of smoke.
That is a nice tube though.

InTheRed there is a lot of speculation on that... Do a little googling for yourself, it's rather funny.

Ehle's are indeed nice. Have a little one for hashes. If it's BHO though it goes in the HMK pipe.

I think I have or do own something from (almost) every company in this thread... Aside form DC and US tubes.
