Here is a picture of my mutts. My lab/dane mix on the left. 7 and full of energy 100% of the time. He is a blast. Old yellow is a beagle/lab mix and is 11 now. Still hangs with the big guy.

He is a frisbee fiend. Picture from a few days ago, let see who notices...

Midwest I dont mean that goldens aren`t awesome like Your Noodles..coz he is awesome!..but I like more Black Labs..they are more massive..looks more (yeay I know thats not the best reason) "bad"
...they look more "bad" but they are awesome dogs..soo devoted,calm and emotional..yeah I konw..emotional!
When my cat "Red" jump on my knees "Bruno" is jealous hehe
My dog is 6 yrs old...yeah he is old daddy but he luv play soccer with me...swiming in the river near my house..
he is my 40kg shadow..where I go he go with me...sorry for my bad english..

And for the end....every dog is awesome and unique like his owner!!

Bruno loves watch sheeps hehe and when sheeps see him they do....beeeee beeeeeeee....like they calling him..maybe they think he is a fat,black sheep with strange tail hehehe
yeah I know I have a strange sense of humor

Picture is actually almost 3 years old now, sorry for the dirty vacuum in the background

Black - Male Pitbull & Black Lab mix, about four years old. He's a pound rescue, only pup that survived his litter and when rescued was malnurished and so mite infested he was basically bald. Sweet, but dumber than a sack of bricks sometimes. Think Lenny from "Of Mice and Men".

White - Female Pitbull & Boxer mix, about 14 years old. She is a preemptive pound rescue, was on her way but we intercepted her before she made it. Owner was forced to get rid of her due to their mother getting a smaller dog, and now they "had too many". We've had her for the last decade however, biggest sissy ever.

BUT/AND

I would like a dog,

or maybe to borrow or rent a dog,

who can carry the rope on some wildfire prevention work.

Basically, it means holding the end of a rope in their mouth and crawling underneath blackberries and any other vines. Having crawled in similar spaces myself, I am getting pretty familiar with them.

Of course, if I was standing their I could lift vines for them so they can crawl under, give them treats when they're 1/3 through a 10 foot stretch, etc.


Anyway, it would need to be a smart, small dog - or a medium sized really smart dog. Fox terriers have the reputation for being smart.

My parents had a dog they adopted from Mexico. It was a feral dog and was really smart.
