I'll be harvesting this plant early, about a week earlier than I'd hoped, the current cold and dampness is starting to cause botrytis to form, sparingly now but in a week it may be too much lost, now I can ferment 90% or more of the flower without risk, instead of 60% of slightly more mature flower. Once it starts it spreads fast.

Chopped my other outdoor females for the same reason, this one is extremely dense, but got some mold so I had to pluck it off and harvest it a week early.
bugs often landed on this plant, but mites seemed to hate it. Alcoholic and green tea smells, hashy too, like coffee and earth. The green tea thai smells passed on very well, I'm hoping it has a killer high too.
Hi @Shua1991

I really like the look and health of your crosses. I see thai, and golden tiger up there.

Would you mind putting the strain name/cross into your posts? Its way more comfortable for me as a reader, instead of scrolling back to see what your genetics are made of. That would be great 👍

Great job!

CBD1 x ETH October 11

IMG_20241011_143133815.jpg

The weather is now in the mid teens.. but she'll stay outside as long as she looks happy.
The CBD1 is coming through a little more in flowering. The mother was a sativa leaning CBD1.

Aromas are strong carrot/parsnip which is sometimes reminiscent of paint. This seems common with the Ethiopian crosses I've made. The Ethiopians I grew had a fresh pinene smell like mastic gum but nothing like christmas trees or turpentine. In the other cross with the NCH3, which can get hot musk funk and guava, I found individuals that had that turpentine/paint smell with some oregano but also turp and spearmint.

CBD1 is a stinker, the more indica leaning plants have sour tarry piney smells, the sativa leaning mom was similar but less heavy on the tar.

This is the finish line for my (Gashmoygle x Golden Tiger) f2 outdoors, this week coming up is going to be awful and I'm mercy killing this GT leaning phenotype. If the lower flowers are anything to go by, I suspect the flowers to be very sativa dominated, early Cob sample had me medicated for 2.5h with no crash. Reminds me of the mom effects wise- exactly what I was hoping for 😃
20241014_190116.jpg

Smells like kimchi and a bit like pickles after Cob processing.

I lost 1 branch to PM/botrytis but it was larf, it grew outside of direct sunlight.

(Gashmoygle x Golden Tiger) f2 - Mango Soda

Strongest mango smell in my garden, like a Mango Soda fizzy smell, sweet yet stings the nose a bit, who's smell lingers a long time after stem rub/leaf rub, around 20 minutes. I have a male with the same odor profile just a bit more malawi leaning, maybe because it is a male it is "stretchier" in appearance. I suspect the open pollenation f3's on this plant to be more uniform in growth than f1 or f2. Another 4+ weeks for those seeds to be ready.

This stacking sativa phenotype has bits of purple showing up near harvest time, from grandma. Creamy green tea, vanilla, bailey's alcohol smells.

Butter Toffee phenotype 😋 can't wait to grow these seeds.

Toffee and chocolate, probably the top 3 best plants this grow, stress resistant. If it smokes proper then in about 3 months I will be making f3's, for a proper 2-300 plant grow.

I finally decided to take it down today. After a few days of atypically warm October weather, this is as good as it's going to get.

Not much in terms of yield but I'm excited to try it. The aromas are clean, fresh pine with a hint of lemon, like pinesol. It needs to trigger flowering 2 weeks before it currently does to be viable IMO. I might spend some time with the F2s or the BX ( technically not the same mom ). The NCH3xETH crosses were earlier to declare. The more afghani CBD1 is faster than the NCH3 but it triggers slightly later. But then I did select the NCH3 indoors under 14 hours of light over a few generations.

Long pistils and a structure that is reminiscent of the CBD1 mom, only with a bit more african blood in it.

I believe this is the Diesel in the Cannatonic coming through, I might be wrong though.

Original Delicatessen’s feminized Lilly pollinated with a mix of pollen from 5 OTH males. They will not make it to maturity in the garden but I will take cuts to finish indoors. Started them in the garden to cull males and take cuts from. We’re going to need a bigger tent! View attachment 19042970
Above picture was from before the tropical storm whose damage caused me to have to remove over half their growth

This is last week. Harvested some from the two purple hued ones before our first frost.

Bigger green one was not ready enough

Frost didn’t really affect them that I could tell, we’ll see with this one as I’m going to leave it as long as possible. Just yesterday I picked a couple of the purple ones that escaped the first harvest.

Been surprised this cross is finishing in my climate (mostly) as well as the coloration. Early tests of the effects are very promising.

Gashmoygle x Golden Tiger f2
IMG_20241024_224217.jpg

This fluffy puffball looking pheno smells like Sweet Mandarin, and liver/meaty and floral/Rosemary.
Stable despite my efforts to make it herm, it's definitely got some special f3 seeds I will grow once I harvest.

I expect to add this to my mother plants, as orange was recessive in Golden Tiger (regs) offspring if I inbreed further using this plant I should expect very fruity/orange candy smelling offspring. 11-12 week flower time. Flowers are very dense yet compact. Produces giant calyxes and seeds are massive.
IMG_20241024_224202.jpg

I love the fluffy look. The flowers looke like they're wrapped in twine.
Harvest tonight, the seeds are ripe. I'll give these a nice rinse with hydrogen peroxide and water, then dry for a about two days before fermenting as a cob.

IMG_20241024_224606.jpg

This puffball phenotype isn't as fluffy and has the signature mango and pineapple smells from the "Haribo" golden tiger phenotype. Just a tiny version of it.

IMG_20241024_224013.jpg
IMG_20241024_224042.jpg

This is the "Ginger Beer" I found in F1 and f2, just more tropical with hints of pineapple and mango in f2's. Happy to produce seeds, can't seem to stop.

IMG_20241024_223517.jpg

Coffee/matcha vanilla cream. A few with this smell in f2. Stable, but only a few visible seeds.

IMG_20241024_223400.jpg

I thought I spotted stamen on this phenotype, but it was just a white peace of brittled leaf. This plant won't make up its mind, it grows initially like an Afghan hash plant, then starts to sprout dreads at the end of flower.

Some of the outdoor going down for curing.

Seems to have lost all the pineapple scent of the Lilly mother. Very faint smell of old leather. I’m still smoking on the sister of the fathers of this cross and it’s still getting better so I’m thinking this will need a good cure too. I hit the earliest of the outdoor plants with some female Lilly pollen (the indoor clone) so will have to give those a go next year, maybe get some of the pineapple back. Pineapple haze sounds really good

I wound up with a week and a half of good weather after a cold front, none of the flowers molded up badly so I got a more mature harvest than I hoped. The drought were in here in New York seems to have prevented late harvest rot. Still some spots of pm on fan leaves I have to clip off.
