We are on Day 14 of flowering... its been a while since i posted, but I lost my camera USB cord, so i couldnt upload pictures until i found it tonight

anyway, the girls are doing great! they are such good girls p so easy to take care of. I just water every other day, give them food once or twice a week, and prune the fuck out of the bushy bitches daily LOL

only problem with the Tangerine strain is it wants to grow about a million tops.. SOG style is hard, and requires a lot of lollipopping (takes a while with 480 plants). on the plus side, we have started cloning our pruned bottoms.. built the DIY EZ-Cloner and we will start running it this week..

I fed them a fat dose of A.N. Bud Blood once in the first week of flowering, and i think it did something because the buds are starting to swell! besides that, we have them on Budswell and Botanicare, plus some chelated micronutrients that my roommate picked up... hes a botanist so they must be good ??

anyway i'm all kushed out and rambling.. heres some pictures

Very nice lookin setup. I am a bit curious about a few things you said about 'sealed room' and 'no flow right now'....

I hope you have some kind of in-out airflow or a CO2 generator... once those plants start breathing they'll be starving for air! Also, with the plants so closely together, make sure you've got air circulating in the room as well so that you don't get powdery mildew, etc, from stagnant air.

by "no flow" i mean that i had no money... this has since changed I am planning on buying a CO2 monitor/regulator/tank asap.

the room is sealed, with a window AC, the girls are doing fine, but sometimes if it gets a bit warm (80+) we will open the door to the room a bit and let it get fresh air from the rest of the house. when i start using CO2 we will probably just keep the door shut at all times.

as you can see in my video we have box fans mounted on the walls circulating plenty of air, and the AC keeps the humidity and temperature down as well as circulating air also.

no problems with mildew or mold yet... b

^^^ i use about a gallon per bin, every other day (or when soil is dry)... I use the lids for drainage, turn them over and put the bin on top with holes drilled in the bottom. there is very little runoff however, usually it all stays in the soil. ...those beds hold a ton of water, and they hold it well

i read another thread on here with bigger beds that didn't use drainage.. that would be interesting to try

Anyway, it looks like it will yield well. Wouldn't be surprised if you went over 8 lbs.

thanks, i'm not really expecting anything since ive never used this method before, but shit... i would be happy with a lb per light...

Tangerine is an Indica, very short and bushy with tightly-spaced nodes, the strain has a tendency for the bottom branches to become main tops themselves if given enough light... kind of a bitch for a SOG setup, but i've lollipopped almost all 480 plants by now outdoors the yield is insane though. She likes all the food and light she can get, and overfertilizing is very hard ( unless ur using A.N. lol). she clones easily and grows/flowers EXTREMELY rapidly indoors and out. one of my favorite strains to grow, and i've seen a few

my buddy liked the Tangerine clones i gave him so much he filled 3 rooms with it, and has been runnign nothing but tanj for a year now with no complaints. The flavor is unique and uncommon, literally reeking of fresh tangerines.

I have a few pictures of the original Tangerine Mother, the pheno that we took cuttings from which spawned this and many other rooms. She was a beauty, grown in full Cali sun. I will try to find the pics and post them

Hey, would you mind giving me the brief rundown on your wiring system with the fuse box. I have never ran more than three 1k watt lights at a time and just plugged the ballasts into wall outlets. What are the advantages of rewiring, how is it done and at what point should you think about rewiring?

Bud blood is like bushmaster, it shortens the stretch/internode spacing. I hope you hit them with bud blood after taking clones, because your clones wont grow otherwise. The hormone will be in the cuttings as well... first time I used bushmaster I took clones and when they finally rooted they looked all deformed and had super short internode spacings, eventually I threw them away.

all we did for electrical was tap into our 240V dryer plug in our house... ran some nice thick wire from the dryer plug up into the attic and down into the grow room, where we hooked it to a 240V water heater timer and a quad outlet. we can only run 4 lights on it right now but thats all we need. we have the AC and fans plugged into the room's 120V circuit

Hey Shcrews,

Whats up bro? Your system is very similiar to the one I used to use. I used to run 2K lights, a window AC, sealed room, etc. and pack in 200 plants, about 100 plants per light. I was also using the large rubbermaid tubs and packing them in there.

My system, like yours will, worked great. I don't know why more people don't use rubbermaid tubs, and higher plant counts. Maybe it's the work of cutting 100 clones per light, I know when I used to do that it was always a really long night. I had a few grow threads about my system on OG, but that is long since gone.

While using 100 plants per light, I used to get around 1.5LBS per light after a few runs, and getting everything dialed in. I was growing White Rhino and a little bit of Skunk #1. I also added a lot of perlite to my soil mix (like 30-40%) and put drainage holes in the bottom of rubbermaid tubs.

Good to see another grower using this style here on these boards man, not many people do it - glad you and your friends are using this system, it definately pays off. In about 60 days you should have at least 6LBS of some bomb Tangerine tasting chronic

most nutrient lines are salt based, i believe.

I run all organic, saves me from salt lockout.
