Playin' in the Woods 2015

Here are some sad, weak, disease ridden pics. I'll start with the most devastating for dramatic effect. This is the plant that got it the worst, and even after nuking it with Immunox, it is a goner:

Whatever this shit is, it devastated this plant. I sprayed it one last time with Greencure, if no improvement I think I'm gonna just pull it next time I go out.

Here are some leaves off this plant and one other (that is much more successfully fighting it):

These leaves look more like some sort of deficiency than anything else. They kinda look like calcium or phosphorus deficiency.

Here is the other plant that had it bad, but this one is doing much better and I think even resumed growing:

View Image

i dont think that is a fungas or disease. im thinking its more deficiency as well. since u put lime in the hole i dont see how it could be a calcium def though

Here are some pics from plot 2. The Spontanica are starting to take off! Throwin' pistils too!

The shortest one is about 5', the other two are over and the double planted hole is well over 6'.

Here is the double planted hole:

Make no mistake about it, Special Queen #1 is one of the best strains a guerilla can grow. Potent, monster size and yield, and tough as nails. Clearly, as evidenced by KC Brains as well, cost us no indication of a strain's potential.

How early is this variety and at what latitude? Im strain hunting for next year and where I am, in the northern central US, it gets cold fast....

The plant's mostly look healthy. Even the one's with a few discolored leaves are not to bad.You have some great sunny spots and should get some big buds in a couple months.
Cheers GG

The last time I grew Special Queen was at about 41 degrees North and it was ready by the very end of September.

biddy early or heribei would be good choices. im at 37.5n lat and i have a biddy that will be done by mid sept and heribei a few days before the biddy if the breeder is correct at 8 weeks of flowering. the heribei started flowering on 7/16 and biddy#1 started on 7/20

What's good with the heribei? Has it been the real deal thus far?

its been very easy so far but its not got no taller then 3.5 foot so the yeild is not gonna be good with it. im not sure wtf happen that it is still small bc s.a.n.n.i.e said it was capable of 500 grams. i will be lucky if i get 2oz off it. if it comes out great quality then i wont mind the small yeild or it just could be this pheno bc i have 10 seeds of it but only put 1 out to see how it will do. if the mold resistance is good then i will give it another chance next year at a different location

Went to plot 2 today, these Spontanicas are winners!

These pictures are four days from the last ones. I think the growth is noticable for such a short period of time. These are some fat girls!

Here is the double-planted hole. You can see looking at the stalks how the plant on the right was somehow topped naturally very early on.

Broke my sprayer today, so it looks like I'm ordering the free samples of sns244c to get their complimentary sprayers.

Once those come I'll give everything one more round of sns244c, one more round of greencure (maybe), and from there on out it's just aloe. Chitin in the form of insect frass mixed in with the food as well, of course.

They are really bulking up. The side branches are growing out nicely.
Gotta love the stretch. With the big harvest coming you should invest in a new camera.
Whats with the name change?

Cheers GG

Yeah, I'm loving the bulky structure on these Spontanicas. Of all the strains I've ever grown, this is my favorite so far. If it finishes in good time and smokes nice, it could be my new favorite. These girls haven't flinched at anything this year, they've got a nice, bushy structure with lots of side branches, and they grow fast. I'm hoping for some donkey dick buds on these girls.

Stretch is the fucking best! Best part is there's another solid 2-3 weeks of growth left. I don't want to jinx anything (as every guerrilla can feel me on), but I'm very excited for harvest season this year:biggrin: I might get a new camera here in a week or two, we'll see. Gotta find something cheap.

The girls are starting to stink up the place... Not bad right now but I could smell them in the patch today. Not worried, just a sign of the season starting to boil down. Spontanica has a similar smell to what I remember KC33 smelling like (it is a cross of KC33 and a secret project), has that nice coffee smell.

And I just thought it was a good idea :tiphat:

ya those spotnicas are doing great! if they hold up for mold resistance after watching them grow this year they will be on my list as well. the new winner so far in my circle is the church. bug damage never stopped the vigor and everthing i have threw at it in terms of nutes its just ate them up. i do think that it does not like to be topped or super cropped though bc on the 2 that i did that to them they are alot smaller. Had i known that if i just let them grow without topping or super cropping that they could up up like my monster church then i wouldnt even tried to do it lol

Went out to plot 1 today. I'm not as excited about plot 1 as I am the Spontanicas at plot 2. The plants are alright, but the disease really stunted them... I don't know if they'll get a whole lot bigger than they are now.

Here are the two biggest ones (2 pics each, front & side, which I guess is odd considering they're round)

As you can see, the disease is still there, Greencure has only kept it at bay.

This one isn't as bad:

And here is one that has made a decent recovery. Looks like I'll be smoking some Green Poison this year after all.

Here is the double planted hole. It seems the trick with leaving two plants in a hole is to top one of them very early on. That way, instead of two stalks side by side, you have one big stalk and then a split where the big stalk needs space, and two stalks from the top forming a sort of triangle of three stalks in the hole. That would explain why the double planted hole at plot 2 is doing so much better than this one.

These are also both freebies, while there's a Special Queen at plot 2, so there's that as well.

And here's a nice little Christmas tree:deadxmas::

I think the Spontanicas might end yielding more than the plants here, except for maybe the biggest one. I'm hoping to average about half an lb from each of the holes at plot 1.

Spontanica is KC33 crossed with KC Brains' "Secret Project #1"; the KC33 I grew last year and it about doubles in size from the end of July to the beginning of September, and I'm thinking the Spontanica is going to be similar. They're supposed to be some donkey dick buds too, so I'm hoping the Spontanicas might hit close to an lb each. We'll see how it all pans out though.

i having trouble with fkn snails this year. i have put copper tape around my stalks now so im hoping that will keep them off. if i find anymore snails that has went past that copper tape then im gonna buy the poison and take care of them. ive never had to deal with snails before and this year i been finding them on my plants. i gotta go check plot 1,2,4 today and see if the tape has worked to keep them off. those mfers will cause me bud rot if i dont get it under control

Snails? I never thought they were much of a problem at this stage of the game.

I've been having quite a bit of bug activity recently, gotta get out there with Karanja but I've been spraying Greencure every visit to keep this damn disease in check.

ya i have never had a issue with snails or slugs before but this year i have been finding them all over my plants. idk if its because i mulched this year or what bc before i never mulched and never seen them. just the other day i pelled back the mulch and there was a few hiding in there at the base of the plant as well as one strolling around on top my plants. i have since removed the mulch off my plants in hope along with that and the copper tape they will go else where. i got the seven dust ready though just in case. im not gonna work this hard for last 12 months studying my ass off to have my year fucked up by snails. im trying not to use strong pesticides but i will if i have to

Lay down some construction sand. Can't guarantee it will solve your snail problem, but it's one of my defense measures to protect my seedlings from slugs and I haven't had any issues since I started using it.

Wow, growing some trees this year! Great work, Duskray! Excellent plots! Looks like they'll yield well. Been seeing that same disease around here. Keep picking off leaves. If in doubt cut it out. Haven't had any snails this year. I've seen tons and tons of millipedes by the plots. I think they like my fertilizer and break it down. Pretty far along in flower on a couple of those. Must be all the sunshine. :smoke:
