plants in ppk's

Thanks delta!

They are some beasts.. and I owe it all to the PPK. This shit is boooorring. ;) I really should be doing other things with all my free time like cleaning up my messes and honing my mom/clone/veg game, but I always end up foolin' around on ICMAG.

My 7 trees are fun, but I want more space! I'd really like to quadruple this setup and allow for slightly larger centers. Yea, then I'd have something to do..

Excellent looking grow FlowerFarmer!! This grow really shows what the PPK is capable of. The real kicker is the fact you stated you're bored!! Show me any other hydro system with plants like these where the grower is bored! Well done.

You need more space? Use your imagination when watching this video. Picture your favorite plants in this place instead of what they're actually growing. It's fun to dream:

i don't think strains really matter, they're gonna grow huge either way, this style of growing is so very easy i have gotten too comfy and forget sometimes that i have anything growing.

The plants were originally setup for scrog and i totally forgot about it, they outgrew the screens, lol

I have Sativas and Indica strains in PPK. I LOVE PPK's!!!

Huge shout out to D9 for creating a system that is truly a "Set it and forget it" system.

I have grown every way possible since 92', I found Aeroponics to be the best and most simplest system i have ever used, then came PPK's

Man! What a clean set up, that's nice. I am OCD as hell and try to keep every little aspect of my set clean, simple and organized.

You thought that AERO was the easiest, before PPK?
I've always wanted to try Aero out, but the initial outlay, high plant numbers and perpetual fear of power outage has always deterred me.

I'm digging into PPK, now, and have high expectations.

Again, nice set up!

OG TGR,
Thanks! these things really turned into bigger monsters than i had planned. Just finished building 3 more systems, but to compensate for the unexpected growth from NOT being on location everyday, i am only doing 4 per room as D9 recommended earlier in a space this size.

I can only imagine how much better the growth will be once i get a couple of 4ton units in place so i can set my DE wings back up.

Thanks D9,
my nephew was really excited when he saw these plants and wanted me to take a snapshot for him. I really can't wait to get back to my Gavitas, but the AC hoods are doing really good too

so, who's up for a little outdoor hydro? for more pics of the grow go here www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=287351. a thread by icmag member lilac.rain.

these plants were in a full recirculating ppk with only 9 gals of medium each. turface mvp was used.

there was no chiller or any other water cooling apparatus used. water temps around 80f most of the time.

the largest plant, a "green crack" was approx 12' in diameter and 12' high at harvest.

heavy, dense, bug free, and mold free.

two sets of pics here, taken 8/10 and 9/14 of 2014.

I was just sitting around talking to a friend about taking a small ppk system outside this year. Looks like something worth trying after seeing those gorillas. Holy crap that's a nice display! Those are plants dreams are made of. Congrats.

these were the first 6 plants outside that i know of. they are in weak containers for outdoors and needed support work during the grow.

i'm putting together a bulletproof design that should be able to take multiple seasons of hard use. they will use 20 gals of medium unless someone wants them even bigger.

very conservative on both water and nutes. after the disasterous drought in cali this year i think these could be a viable alternative for some folks.

they could be done truly passively with no electricity but will grow smaller plants.

for remote locations 12v bilge pumps with a car battery and a solar trickle charger should work fine as the pumps are on for less than 20 minutes per day.
