Are those feminized plants 44 ?😎

No. They are Kwick Seeds' Quebec line of Friesland Indica, and are 'standard.' Looking forward to flowering these out and seeing how they perform -- about half of them have really good vigor. Hoping to do some pollinating if I get some decent looking males.

I got a look at Kwik seed Friesland Indica, big ole fat lime green bud. Have you sexed them yet? I already got 3 females out of those six plants. If I get 4 females I'm running 2 inside soil-less and the others outdoors. Finger crossed😎

Not sexed yet, but I will be flowering out the plants from seed in a couple of weeks or so. I can usually sex a plant about 6 weeks out from germination, but these had a slow start.

These plants are only getting one cup or 250 ml of rainwater only. One plant showed water stress (thirsty) before the 2nd day was finished and that signals time to move up again. 😎

I'm going to have to make some changes due to the plant's vigor and size. My plan is to do a split run with these plants indoors and outdoors. So I'm going to share how I boost the CEC in my containers to get the hydro effect. 😎

I have harvested a hunk of clay called "Black Gumbo" and sun-dried it until it is "totally dry" and has zero water in it. When clay is wetted with rainwater it adheres to anything it touches and makes a strong bond on contact and is very hard to break. Clay is like diamonds that last forever and has a super-strong negative charge. It doesn't go anywhere it just changes due to conditions it comes in contact with. It's impossible to separate clay once it's wet because of the strong CEC clay has. That's why there's a big boost using a tiny amount of clay mixed with soil nutrients. . 😎

Here's how I process the clay for use. First off the clay must have no water whatsoever and be deactivated. When the clay is sundried for a couple of weeks it becomes somewhat sterilized. NO Fungus or harmful bacteria will have a chance when the clay is completely dehydrated 100%. I use an ax or a slege-hammer to break down the clay. This takes a little time and work and it's very important. I use the back of an ax as a mortar and pestle and get it as fine as I can. Then I screen it and regrind until I get very fine equally sized particles. When it starts re-caking into tiny tiny pieces it's ready.

Creeperpark. Cool stuff on the clay. We farm quite a bit of clay for corn and soy. Ours will shrink so hard in a drought that you can loose keys down the cracks, the ground opens up about 2" and goes down a long ways. Yours looks higher mag than ours, I visited some farmers in the states with an agronomist that we use from Illinois. These guys were just outside of Muscatine IA, right on the Mississippi, they had black high mag soil, you could make a ribbon out of it with your thumbs it is so pliable. Our clay is what we call "two day clay", you are either two days to early or to late to the field lol. It would help with buffering indoor growing quite a bit. I might try what you are suggesting in a couple of months. I have to wait for the frost and snow to clear first.

Interesting you know clay peace. I'm using this gumbo clay to boost the CEC, "cation exchange capacity" in a soil-less mix to give a hydro effect. I'm hoping for a 400% boost with this "Gumbo". Here's how I do it. 😎

After grinding the clay very finely, I take a cup or 250 ml of fine clay and put it in an ole t-shirt, and sift it over the soil-less mix. Mixing the clay in soil-less has to be done this way, so the clay doesn't clump or stick together and spreads evenly in the whole mix... Heres photos

Plants are up-potted now, half will stay in and the other will go outdoors. I keep grabbing the leaf with the pot when I pick it up and damage the leaves because I don't see too well. So if you see this leaf damage it's from me picking the plant up wrong. Sorry about that. 😎

I'm putting the freshly watered FoxFarms OceanForest "one-gallon pot" inside the soil-less pro mix for one day dry. After setting one day dry, I will start the growing process by applying rainwater and nutrients only. 😎

Yeah our clay fields run 16 CEC, whereas our sand fields are 6 - 8.

Since the "Gumbo" is extremely alkaline, I will use fertilizer water with a pH of 5.8 to activate the magnetic attraction of the nutrients in the root zone. The nutrients will attach to the clay and stay until the plant roots can utilize them. There are no impurities in the water to block the receptors only useable nutrients used in sequence. The ppm is only 280, or 0.5 EC total counting Cal-mag. with 3 part fertilizers. I use the same ratio from the feed charts as the manufacturer but cut it in half or thirds. On this cycle, I'm using 1/2% of the second week on the General Hydroponics feed chart. Note: I start with week one on first feeding @ 50%. Here 4 days later after transplant.

The organic core is FoxFarmsOceanForest and this is the first time I used it as an OG core. The runoff is only 1200 ppm and is considered very low compared to the RootsOrgainic mix. Using RootsOrgainic I get ppm in the 4000s that lasts a long time. It will be interesting to see what FFOF potting mix will do inside the clay mixed ProMixHp as far as boosting CEC. As of now its looking pretty good...😎

I know this sounds crazy but it's important to keep the fertilizer water off the center core and only water the ProMix and clay and allow a little discharge. 3000 ml of rainfertilizer for the five-gallon and 2000 ml rainfertilizer for the 3-gallon containers. 😎

Hey creeper, those are some nice looking plants for 5 weeks (about).
You know, I know about the rain water.
It will be awhile before I need to think about starting any plants, but am starting to "window shop" for something different.
And I do think I will run a few of my scotian gold this year, a cross of guerrilla gold, and dinafem white widow auto. If nothing else but to get some fresh seed, and frankly, it's hard to beat quality wise.

Kinda looking for suggestions for the highest quality, that also finishes by mid Sept.
I might try some GG4, as it seems to be the answer to everyone's dreams.....I've heard that before.

In the past, I really liked getting as many different strains as I could in grows. Today, I can't watch everything and so I'm very limited. Just enough for medicine. GG4 would be super super double kick-ass if you could get your hands on some seed. Keep us posted Friend. 😎

Here's 3 days later. These plants are supposed to stay short and stocky. Out of 6 plants, I got 5 females and one male. 😎
