Planning an autoflower grow in the treetops...

been following your grow, hats off to you for an ambitious project
i've thought about trying this myself, but it's a lot of work - especially when you have an indoor option
a snake in the trees is enough to keep me out of them, the only snake i know of that climbs trees is the copperhead
but what you saw didn't sound like that

Thanks. Yeah I would definitely rather grow indoors if I could. I think the snake I came across was a western rat snake, a species known to spend a lot of time high in trees feeding on bird eggs. Good thing I didn't learn about this species until after the grow was finished...:)

I'm kinda wishing I had let the plants go a few weeks longer because the trichomes still look clear, but I'm gonna be moving in two weeks and wont be able to dry em at the new spot. Plus the wild hemp males are starting to release assloads of pollen now, so I'm probably saving myself from a lot of unwanted seeds. Hopefully the early harvest doesn't ruin the smoke too much.

now that you've harvested and there's no 'bad thoughts lead to bad events'
the unpredictable things that can happen in a tree are way too many
it doesn't take much to startle someone in a tree
i had though about a rope throwing setup to pull up the bucket without climbing
maybe with some kind of cradle/structure to solidly fix the pot

a snake, damn, glad you're okay!
the little guy wasn't dangerous at all, he was pretty small and seemed really timid--didn't hesitate at all to jump outta the top of a tree. i think i scared the shit out of him as much as he did me.

i've always thought this idea would work really well one of those huge trees that are impossible to climb without ropes and shit. maybe go up once, rig up a pulley and rope, then you'd be good to go so long as you can hide the rope well down below.

Thanks guys! Ended up with a little over 10 grams and didn't have the patience for the bud to cure properly and smoked it all in less than a week. :) Despite all the seeds, it turned out to be quite potent stuff.

I can't wait till next year, I've got a new spot picked out on the ground this time and hopefully will be able to pull off the same result on a bigger scale. :) :)

Well, at least you got a harvest, if only a weeks stash. And you are in one piece and out of jail. Success! Lessons learned from growing are invaluable as well.
