Looks like a Carrier AC if I'm not mistaken ?

Build looks amazing PK. Love the attention that is taken to every detail though out the build. Can't wait to see this thing up and running.

Looking great PK, I know how easy it is to go over budget, even if on a much smaller scale. Cant wait to see the next update brother.

Glad you are all here to watch this go down with me, good to see you all. Yes Bobble, a little behind lol, don't worry it won't happen again once this is steam rolling.

The AC and Heat install was finished today, glad to report everything is working great, very exciting. I am going to the store now to get some supplies to mount ballast and hang hoods and also run some others errands to get this baby rolling. Only real hangup is the work area has not been painted yet so I cannot start out there with ballast or anything until it is done. The paint sprayer fudged up but it will be done before the weekend.

Woooohooo

All the copper ran nice and tight. The thing hanging in front of the picture on the white chain is my high tempshutoff, co2 censor, and thermostat. All three will be kept at plant canopy to keep things dead on.

You can see I have the co2 burner stuff in place, I need to get a longer line so I can hook it up to the tank outside but it is secured and ready to rock. A carbon monoxide, methane, and propane alarm sits below the unit.

Ducting coming off the unit for the flower room, the round 6" pipes actually swivel to direct air where I want:

Here is the other side, the veg room:

Time to get some lights up!

Note: For everyone who is anal as I am about alarms and safety and can't hear the alarms from your space. I found a baby monitor on tigerdirect that I will have 24/7 while at home to listen for alarms, but it also has a temp and humdity gauge :) So inside my office I will have live video, temp, humidity, and audio monitoring.

hey PK if that fancy lock you have is what i think it is you may want to lose or upgrade the thing ASAP ...... you can get into one of those with a steak knife in about the same amount of time as it takes to open it with the handle

back it up with a dead bolt if you want to stay secure

Wow!!! That is my dream room, good job on the build man!

So i got a few stupid questions.
Why dont you run air cooled lights?
Do you need to run charcoal filters for smell issues?

Thanks man:tiphat:

GP73LPC- Thank you and I hope you do to, grind it out!

Greenmatter - It is a $120 door lock from home depot, it will be upgraded to a biometric thumbprint lock in the future, and I do plan to upgrade the door to steel with a steel frame. I am not to concerened about someone trying to break in but it does need to be there for legal purposes. Hopefully it is not as big as a POS as you say though lol. It does beep and blink when the door is slammed, kicked or tampered with.

Sierraskunk- Ia m not running aircooled lights because I wanted a 100% sealed room, who knows maybe one day i will change my mind I have enough fans to get it done for sure. Not going aircooled means no glass on my hoods which means a 5-15% increase in light output and yield. Because the room will be 100% airtight a carbon filter is not a huge concern, also it is out in the country with no neighbors to close. I do own quite a few though and I see no reason why I won't be hooking them up.

Looking great PK, almost there. Going to be a pretty sick show once you get all the plants in there.

That lock definitely will not stop me. Mostly because I don't know where you are at, that will stop me though. Looks great keep it secure.

PK try locking the thing with the door open and then closing it. if the door latches and locks from the open position it is not as great a lock as you were lead to believe when you bought it ...... FWIW most door locks are not made to be as secure as they are made to make you feel secure. deadbolt locks do a way better job at security, but they don't "latch" when you just close them.

if the lock is there for "legal purposes" only, then is really does not matter too much

really, really, fuckin'really nice job on the build so far !!!! the potential that i am seeing makes me go:jawdrop:

Absolutely awesome work, but I wish I had seen this sooner as I have a couple of minor suggestions (for the next build, I guess):

I'd suggest using Roxul batt insulation. It is made from mineral wool as opposed to fiberglass and is superior in just about every way. Mineral wool is used in the "firestopping" trade because it will not burn and will keep fire from spreading, and perhaps more importantly for our application it contains a mildicide to prevent mold and mildew from growing. For 2x4 framed walls a minimum of R14 should be used, for 2x6 I suggest R22 (or R20 at a minimum). Not sure who sold you on that paperback roll-batt, but I would suggest kicking them in the dick. You've invested far too much time, energy, and money to cheap out on the insulation.

With vapor barrier on the outside of your walls, and another layer of poly on the inside you have essentially created a sweatbox type of environment. Any moisture inside those walls isn't going to be able to readily escape, and that could potentially become an issue for you especially since we're dealing with higher than average humidity and temperature differentials. Keep an eye out for condensation forming under the vapor barrier now and in the future as it may become the perfect environment for a mold infestation, which could be devastating.

I love the fact that you used OSB on both sides of the wall. That makes for an exceptionally rigid structure which should last indefinitely. This is especially nice to see as the walls were framed with a 24" cavity instead of 16" on center. I would have advised, however, to drywall all of the walls in the interest of fire protection. 1/2" if you want to be thrifty, but 5/8 if you want the full 1 hour burn rating. As it stands, if a fire breaks out that place is going to be fully engulfed in a matter of minutes.

... and since I'm on the topic of fire containment... Just after your electricians pulled the wire you really should have gone through and caulked the penetrations with firestop caulking (Nuco, PFP 4800DW, etc). Any time a wire goes from the wall cavity through the top or bottom plate, or from one room into another, the hole should be sealed with firecaulk. This way, if an outlet melts down or you happen to end up with a fire inside the wall it will be contained inside that cavity and won't be able to spread fire and smoke as easily. In fact, if properly sealed the fire will stave for oxygen and usually self extinguish.

On a ground-up build I cannot stress enough how important these things are, but since I'm extremely late to the party I guess my advice will have to wait until the next build.

Much respect and admiration on all of your hard work. You're a true professional, and I thank you for your contribution to the Cannabis community. :)

AOD- Thank you sir, I appreciate all your positive feedback!

Ichabod- The lock doesn't need to stop you, the motion detecting cameras and audio will have me opening my office window in about 5 seconds and you do not want to see what hangs out lol

Greenmatter- When the door is locked in the open position you cannot close the door. I have credit carded my way past many locks, this isn't one of them. There is a main entry point that you guys do not see this is just for the grow door.

BCmaster- I stand corrected, no humidity on the baby monitor, but it does have 2 way communication. tigerdirect.com. Check out their inventory, not much there you will see it.

SensiBC- I like all your ideas, unfortunatley it is to late as you stated to employ any of them. I learned some lessons on this build thats for sure, hopefully fire is never a problem. I keep fire extinguishers near anything of interest, and will be adding a few axes around the place with them as well. I did some insulation research and never ran across mineral wool, I have seen it however. For right now I am glad I did what I did because the budget is tapped, there would have been no room for improvements. I am well over 30K into this thing, not including all the equipment I previously owned. I will keep a look out for the vapor barrier sweating, I cannot have molds. Thank you for your input and fine compliment!
