Checked out the garden again this evening. I think the plants liked working the soil and the happy frog and water. They had a flush of new growth with light green leaves at the ends of the branches! A couple weeks of stretch left. Glad they got a boost! Thank you God!

Checked in on the girls today got a couple views I'll post up in a minute. Getting some chocolate milk and dinner. Got pics of the 2 males and they're both DC dominant keepers! Yes! Stamen are developing on the big one in the front now. Its flower time! Stay tuned, you want to see this flush of growth! :smoke:

I thought about culling the 2nd best male since the one is so robust, but I decided to keep them both to preserve genetic diversity in the line. They both have good traits. I see deep chunk influence in the smaller one too. The Lord is my shepherd! I shall not want.

Gap in the canopy we're trying to get to fill in. When the DC male is gone, it will be pretty open there. I can bring in branches from native brush to grow out that way if I have to. I keep tugging and bending on a couple long thin branches on the tall plant trying to train them out into the gap to fill in. It seems to be working actually!

DC male--see the pattern? Classic afghan structure my friends! This line is going to be great! Doing my best, being humble, devoting myself to prayer, and God is blessing me! Thank you God!

Other male. I see Deep Chunk influence here too. The plant has a little less light. Its another strong male with good structure and those characteristic DC afghan leaves. Stay tuned we're getting into the good part now! Thanks for checking out the garden! :smoke:

Got a couple days of rain on the way! May get an inch or 2 it looks like! It will be great, its getting dry around here! Got the plants healed in with soil around the stem. They should be fine to weather the storm. After the storms clear, I'm going immediately back out to spread repellent again. After rains is when the animals seem to give us trouble. Its probably because the repellent has washed away a little and the moisture brings out the smells. I can see why they like the plant, but you should at least wait until its ripe before tearing into the buds!

Posted a thread, "Deep Chunk Playground", to discuss the breeding project up in the Hill Temple Collective forum. Check it out! Can't wait to see where this line goes! It has great potential! Thankful to have it preserved! Praise God! His steadfast love endures forever! https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=354910

I'll be donating some seed to seedbay/real guerilla seeds soon, so the line will be available to purchase if you want to check it out! Plus it helps support this awesome forum, and the community of growers who use it! Enjoy! Glad to be able to help!

Hey WaxyTaxi! Thanks for stopping in! I try to stay proactive in what the plants need. Got an inch of rain today! More rain coming tonight and tomorrow, and once it looks like the system is past I'll spread some repellent again. Just a couple weeks from getting out the 2 pollinating males. I won't let it go until September 3rd this year. Talk about seeds! Will let you all know when to look for those seed available on seedbay/realguerilla seeds! Its an easy way to donate to the forum! Free with shipping and handling. Need to sort out the green and immature seeds though so it may be a little while until I have time. :smoke:

We have been blessed! Another all day on and off soft rain that totaled to around an inch! Its amazing to behold God's creation. We should always work to magnify it! Ask God into your heart, to forgive you for where you've fallen short, and to help you walk in His way so His will is done. God's creation is like watching fireworks, we should be in constant adoration. Its always making something new. Amazing what can happen with even just a little faith the size of a cannabis seed!

Got out to the plot this evening and was glad I went out because the champion DC male had fallen over to the side. It fell because the I took away most of the soil holding it up to spread around the females. I thought that might happen! I also saw some minor animal digging in a couple spots in the plot. Its a small critter it looks like. He's just being curious. No stem damage was seen, so thats good!

Spread another round of granular "Liquid fence" repellent. It seems to work well! The rain just washed it and the animal came right out to dig! Lucky it wasn't that agressive.

I have been little by little cleaning up the bottoms of the plants like medical herb farms do. I waited to cut some of the bottom branches so it the plants would hopefully to get more yield having extra framework. But after watching them grow the last couple months I decided to prune them off. The leaves need to be a certain size or it means that branch is seeing low light conditions. No reason to leave them to get one little tiny bud at the end of the branch. I want to make them have all the energy they can to grow at the top in the light! Pruning unproductive lower branches helps improve airflow and reduces foliar diseases and mold chance when flowers get thick.

Hoping for some pollen soon because the flowers are starting to stack after that Happy frog feeding a few days ago! I do want to get a decent amount of seed from this crop though so I'm going to let them do their thing a couple days until the females get to a certain size flower.

Daylight is starting to taper off earlier. Getting dark at around quarter till 10 now. Used to be able to hang out in the garden longer. Still some summer left. Enjoy!

Had a reason to go out to the farm today, so I stopped by the garden. Sun was shining after we were blessed with a 2.1" rain over a couple days. Had to capture some shots of what was going on. Rodent I think is leaving me alone. I need to get more liquid fence! I have some off brand to get my by if I have to, but I'm putting this stuff down when it needs it believe me! I'll never grow without repellents again. I may get the liquid version too so I can treat native plants around the garden at deer height. It probably lasts just as long I assume. I just light the light weight and and less strong smell with the granular "Liquid Fence".

Well we have flowering well under way! The bloom fert did it! It is time! Thank you God! Thank you Jesus!

Probably some more stretch going on, but pistils are starting to build at the tips! The big stretchy 7 headed female plant is taking over, its pretty neat! She's the one who's filling in the gap where the males were removed in the front! The champion male re-oriented himself and is keeping moving with stamen production!

We have several days of sun and mid to upper 80's temps with more rain coming early next week. Couldn't be better weather for growing good cannabis! God is so good! He has really blessed this land. We have to live our lives in a way thats pleasing to God. He shows us Love, we are here to reflect and magnify it! Life is such a precious gift!

You know what, we had a really close worship at church earlier this week. We were absolutely focused on adoring the Lord. I know He hears us. He sees us. Its good to be fully known by our God! The abundant soft rain this week was our reward!!!

Light up a pipe, my friend, lets celebrate! Enjoy some new views!

Hey Insomniac AU! Thanks for the kind words! Its hard to leave when I visit the garden, its a great spot to just hang out. I really enjoy inspecting the plants and watching them grow. My dogs like to hunt and watch daddy work. I usually scratch down my big dog and wipe off all the fur I can to help spread his scent around. It would be a great campsite! Already has a fire pit!

The plants aren't getting much disease even after that long 2 day rain. They are well fed and getting good airflow now! Its perfect how the plot is opened up so much after removing the males! Should be able to dry out a little more efficiently. The plants are in a crescent shape that even follows the treeline above so they are more hidden! Digging a trench and putting soil around the edges seemed to help when it rains. No standing water issues in the garden now!

Thanks! Yeah, flowers are starting to stack on there now! The season is just rolling on isn't it? Right in the middle of summer right now! I love this time of year! They have good momentum going now! Watching them form up the long colas this line gets. The Jamaican Jam part of the line has Jamaican spear which grows long arm length main colas! Jamaican Jam is (Jamaican spear x afghan) x Deep Chunk. :smoke:

Thanks Jonnifli! Gonna try and keep them going with another feeding the 2nd week of August and then one more a week into september! Want to see them keep all their leaves.

When they start yellowing leaves to get nutrients/energy for flowering it reduces yield a little, so they need to be well fed this time of year. That's the goal. Go cannabis! Movement of God's people!

Went out to see the garden. I thought we may have got a thunderstorm this evening, but it missed us there. We're plenty wet and have minimal foliar disease, so its a good thing we didn't get rain this evening. The plants are expanding so fast right now. All the top leaves have expanded out to full size to harvest energy for flowering. The 2 inches of rain after feeding with happy frog kicked us into gear! Its fun to watch!

Males are moving along well, the smaller male may start dropping pollen tomorrow. The larger champion male will take another day or 2 but its well on its way to produce pollen. I hope this male comes out on time. I really like its pattern, looks like a strong plant. The smaller male got eaten up by bugs a little but the bigger one hasn't been. I don't want less than 2 males though, so we'll pollinate until the champion male starts producing pollen.

I need to get to bed I fell asleep eating yogurt and while I was half awake I was trying to keep eating I guess and I poured milk into the raisin container that was almost empty. Daylight is getting shorter now, so I should be catching up on my sleep soon!

A few views and we're going to get some rest. Enjoy!
