[Pic Intensive] PC Grow from Seed - Beginner

Update time! We are finishing up Week 7 of flower.

Here's something I'm worried about, what is causing this yellowing? That leaf had yellowed a little bit but I didn't worry about it and just gave it normal water. The next day it looked like this:


Any ideas?

I've always had a little bit of spots like this on a couple leaves, but I just chalked those up to battle scars from the tucking:

Probably unrelated, but let me know what you think.

i thought the plant would be alot bigger at this time.
doesn't look like your taking up much room in the pc.
when is harvest time? about 9weeks?
hope it will grow alot more till then.

Yeah, 9 weeks is when it's up... I'm hoping for some swell. A good sprint to the finish line.

Really quick, any ideas about the yellowing? I know the plants are supposed to yellow a bit towards the middle and end of flowering, so I am thinking it's just that... but I didn't think it yellowed this much. Today it was more yellow and turning necrotic, but the buds are noticeably bigger and have more trics.

By the way, we are starting week 8 and I still have no odor issues. 2 weeks to go, not bad.

Hey RudieJ, Have you checked your PH , what ferts are you using if any and how often are you watering?.. also I noticed during my first grow I had a skunk of some sort and after a few weeks i didnt notice the smell anymore but anytime someone would walk into my room they would immediatly complain about my "Gym Socks" haha ... i would also get a wif of the skunk for a split second after i would be out for a while... just my own .02

Hey RudieJ, Have you checked your PH , what ferts are you using if any and how often are you watering?..

My PH was 6.7 and the ferts are Fox Farm's BigBloom. I'm using 2 tsp per gallon of distilled water. I feed it every other watering, which is a little more than once a week.

Time for a weekly update, the leaf is still yellowing and falling off, but I'm not worried about it. For the most part, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

This is the middle of week 8 of flower and Kush usually finishes in 9 weeks.

I have questions about finishing up and harvesting.
1) When should I begin flushing? What really is flushing? Do I just stop stop feeding and stick to straight water, or is it the intense flush where you totally drench the soil several times over?
2) When do I harvest?! I am straining to look at the trichomes, and it seems like a lot of them are already turning cloudy. I see no amber colored ones. I've heard people say that you should harvest when they are all cloudy, once there is 80% amber, when there is 20% amber, once the hairs are 80% red, etc etc. I'm a little confused.

After the harvest, I was planning on drying the bud upside-down in the case like Mr. Micro did in the Nanomachine grow.

Nice RudieJ...Gotta luv that ScrOG.... and flushing is when you just give your plants plain water til harvest. Its to leech out all the ferts nutes and chemicals in the soil so the result is good tasting herb instead of harsh. And for harvest time, I say if it looks ready, give it one more week.... you wont regret waiting just 7 more days... keep it up man...

with only a week left i think an emergency flush with just plain water an sugar/mollasus is in order. emergency flush is were ya water multipal times so that water is coming out the bottom at a constint rate for a min or two.

yeah, I'm trying not to use molasses though... I'm an engineer so I over analyze stuff, but wouldn't burning bud with more sugar in it actually taste bitter and be more harsh?

that flush is more what I was expecting to end up doing though

no i found that it makes the bud smoke smother an taste sweeter(actual taste if eaten) smoke taste the same with or without in my opion, i use sugar not molasses though if it makes a differnce

well since lot of people seem to really like it I'll definitely have to try it someday

I really wish more seeds had germinated so I could do a side-by-side comparison for taste.

I am wondering how strong your smell is. Can u smell ur plants outside the PC if the case is closed?

no, no smell at all and I have a week left... I guess Kush isn't very stinky... that or I did something wrong

Speaking of doing things wrong, I am getting crazy dark splotches on the leaves. I know I have a nutrient problem, and I'm checking out the infirmary. Unfortunately I can't post pictures, a friend of a friend is crashing here for the weekend. (It should be a good test to see if my no-anti-odor tactic is working.)

hey, i tried to get the same pc box as you.
I got scammed, the guy never sent me anything and kept my money.
and refuses to answer any of my emails.

I bet it's not the same guy then. Just a scammer who stole his game, I'm sure. The guy I dealt with still signs onto his gmail account and communicated very well with me.

So my problem was/is an over-fert. I used the rest of my jug of pre-mixed fertilizer and gave the plant a good drenching since I wouldn't be using it anymore and I think that is what is causing the problem with discoloration. Since I'm about to flush for the last week of growth... I'll just take care of that now.

He was pissed when I told him someone scammed another person using his images. He is going to start adding watermarks to his pictures so no one else will jack them.

Ok, here are some of the greatest hits of fucking up your grow a week before it is supposed to be done (the pictures look a lot worse than it is in real-life because of the lighting, but it still sucks):









Again, it's not as bad as it looks... but how dumb. I did a flush and the runoff was a little green. I flushed until it ran clear and then flushed some more. It was interesting, to say the least, because of the screen.

Just wait, you didn't get scammed. You're just nervous.

As for the plant: It's the 9th week. Just a few days until harvest. The odor finally became an issue yesterday. I can smell it a little when I walk upstairs and my room's door is open. I'm sure the neighbors can't smell it, so I am just going to finish it up with no odor control. Now I'm just waiting and watching the trichomes.
